I don't think it exists beyond a preview most likely especially because of when the incident occurred. It might exist in the form of scraps of 16mm film somewhere in the vaults at TV Tokyo or it might have been destroyed entirely. Given how it was this late it might still exist but was never transferred to video.

Most likely a hoax.

Given the popularity of Pokemon I'm certain TV Tokyo would have made us aware of another episode if it existed - if just to generate more money.

I don't think its a hoax at all, now remember the Porygon incident occurred suddenly so I am very sure other episodes were planned to air at the time including that one but it was omitted because of the hiatus the show had to take lasting until the spring of 1998.

Pokemon was mega-popular back then. Brought in ratings which in turn popularised the franchise and brought in money. No way would they not broadcast more episodes if they had them.

Besides it's been 13 years since then in which time the Anime staff has bound to have under gone a lot of changes in personal. Trust me, we would have heard something by now if these mysterious "episodes" existed. It's too much of a secret to keep, especially considering the number of staff involved per episode.
