Chapter 1: I'm back?
A few comrades and I, soldiers I never knew the name of, equiped helmets with flashlights on our heads and carefully moved towards the darkness of the cave ahead of us.
"Ex, you with us...?" One of the men constantly asked quietly every 10 seconds.
"Yes, I'm here..." I replied everytime without even the slightest hint of annoyance.
A faint screech could be heard from much deeper down in the cave.
"What was that?!" One of the men asked.
"We'll be fine, it sounded much further a-"
Before I could finish the sentence, the screech repeated, sounding even closer this time. Above us, glowing red eyes stared down, as if they were watching-...waiting for us to make another move.
We stood still, and did everything we could to prevent a single sound or movement. But right when they seemed to be loosing interest, one of the men I traveled with had sneezed.
The creatures on the roof of the cave swooped down and began clawing at their stomachs and chests, tearing bloody pieces of meat-like substance out of their bodies piece by piece until they were nothing but a disgusting mess.
I began screaming non-stop, haunted in every corner of my mind for what fate was to come.
"Ex, what's wrong?! Speak to me!!!!" A woman standing right next to my bed in the mental hospital questioned.
"Mom....?" I replied, noting her stunning resemblance to my dead mother.
"Mom...? Uh... I"m not your mom. But what happened there?! You were sleeping, like a baby... then you began yelling like you were in extreme pain."
"It was just... a bad dream, that's all."
"You most likely don't remember me, but I care about you... I know your in hear due to post traumatic depression. Does it have something to do with the dream...?"
I grabbed my hoodie off of the chair in which she sat in and snatched it, putting it on as I spoke the words "I don't have to tell you muk. I don't know you, so get out of my sight."
"Ex.. they brought you... and everyone else to Unova for a reason. It wasn't just because Kalos was doomed with that many Deoxys, Ex! It's bec-"
I interrupted her by pinning her onto the wall.
"HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT?! How do you know my real name?! Who are you and what do you want from me...?" I yelled.
"Your cover... working as a janitor in some health insurance building, NuraCare was it? It's not going to last forever... there's a Renegade in every country... and we need you here. Unova can't fall the same way as Kalos. When your ready... give us a call" She spoke as she handed me a business card and left my room.
If what she's saying is true... could it really be starting all over again? With the haunting and the trauma that I've faced... could I really join a second Renegade...?
*The next day at work*
"No way would I go back to that terrible job... the death, the torture, the pain~!!! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it! Nothing in this world could make me go back to the Hollow Renegade!" I spoke to myself under my breath as I swept the floor at NuraCare. I was about 10 stories up in the building, where no one else usually visited. But out of the corner of my eye, I saw a man running past my side faster than I could track.
"What was that...?" I said to myself. Surely, it was just my eyes playing tricks on me...
"Luah...." An ominous voice growled in the distance.
"Who's there?!" I yelled as I unsheathed a pocket knife from my left pocket.
"Luah~!!!" The same voice yelled. I could see the colors of a lucario's skin making their way through the hall. It had somehow mastered extreme speed, to the point where I could barely Before I could tell what was going on, the Lucario rammed its fist into my head, knocking me onto my back, and sped its way past the hallway once more.
I quickly got back up onto my feet with my knife held in front of my face. I was scared, horrified even, but if anyone here had the strength to defeat it, it was me.
The Lucario rushed its way back, and just as planned, it attempted to punch my head once more. His fist instantly collided with the knife, slitting one of his knuckles and causing him to scream in pain.
Now that the Lucario was hurt and was no longer running, I was able to see its body much closer. Somehow, someway, this Lucario looked... different. Its yellow coat was longer, to the point where it had a large spiky collar and even a furry tail, and its dreads were bigger and had red ends on both its dreads and its feet. It also had strange black patterns on its arms and legs, and more spikes than a regular Lucario. What the hell is this?! Lucario aren't supposed to evolve any further!!!
The abnormal Lucarios eyes began to glow with mystical energy. The energy began to capture the building around him. I've seen this move before... Lucario was using psychic!!! I had to run, and fast!
Suddenly, the floor began to shake, and the windows and walls around me began to crack and shatter. I tried to run down the hallway to get to the stairs, but before I could make my way there, half of the entire building was peeled off by the Lucarios psychic.
There was no direction I could run! Every single location I could escape to was being destroyed by Lucarios psychic. I looked over the edge in which half of the NumaCare building used to exist. A 100 foot drop straight to the concrete... as much as I knew it was crazy, I had a much less chance of dying by leaping than by going anywhere else.
I put my hands over my head, bent my knees, and leaped off of the 10 story building with my feet aimed at the ground. I could see the NumaCare Building falling into dust as I fell.
I could feel my legs snapping and breaking as I collided into the ground. I began screaming and crying, hoping anyone around was able to help. After 15 minutes of lying in pain, a rescue team finally discovered where I was, and put me into an ambulance. Although I was greatly injured, I was alive...
Whatever the hell just happened, I knew it was something big. That Lucario's evolution was strong.... strong enough to wipe out thousands of people who lived at that building. Once I get a few days to recover.... I'm gonna figure out what the hell that was....
Even if that means joining the Renegade.
