ITT: What swarms have you waited / are you waiting for?
I just got a Luvdisc swarm and stole at least 8 Heart Scales in the past few minutes. I love it. I still wait for Yanma though.

I got a relicanth swarm without even knowing it. I fished randomly on route 12, and then later saw it on the radio.

Every day, certain Pokémon get their percentages raised on certain routes so they're more common. In some cases this is the only way to get a certain Pokémon, or it greatly increases the chance of finding a rare one.
In SS/HG you just need to listen to the Pokémon Talk radio station and Oak will mention what's swarming and where.

Are you talking about the Sinnoh region or HG/SS?

Heart Gold and SOul Silver, since this is the HG/SS section. Plus you only get the radio in HG/SS.

I don't intend on sounding dumb, but when do the swarms start? After you get through Kanto and defeat the gym leaders? Or do you need to beat Red first?
