    Oh, goody, swarms are back!

Okay, bit of sarcasm there. But I am a bit grateful, because three of my favorite Pokemon swarm in D/P, but that's just about all I know about them in these games. So, anyone got anything to add? Like, for instance, how to find out what, when, and where they're goin' on? :P

    Aaaaand...

Now, moving on to everyone's favorite pain in the butt - Feebas!

I figured I'd just add this to the above topic, rather than making a second thread.

So, how'sabout Feebas, eh? According to Serebii: "Mt. Coronet (Fish w/ Super Rod)." So, two questions, for anyone who can answer them -- Where do I get the Super Rod? And, is Feebas playing the same old "I'm-only-in-a-few-squares-out-of-hundreds" game again? I have no reason to believe it's not, because, well, that'd just be too easy. ...I hate it, but, too easy. xD

You find out what, when and where they are once you talk to the little girl (who I think is Lukas' sister) in the building directly south-east of the Prof's Lab.

Super Rod can only be gotten after the E4, when you have reached the North Eastern Island. The fisherman in the Fight Area near the northern exit will give it to you.

And as for Feebas, it's located on 6 squares again I think. But there is a change, the locations of these tiles change every single day instead of like in R/S/E when it was to do with the Dewford's Trendy Phrase.

Ick. That's a serious let down. :| Well, 'cept the part about the swarms. Still, it is a bit frustrating that they always seem to make you wait until -after- you beat the Elite 4 to get the good Pokemon, like Milotic, and the ones that swarm on that island.

    Thank you, though :)

More reason for you to play past that stage, xD

But the real reason is that you need the National Dex to get a number of the swarms.
You can get Feebas before the E4 you know, as both Feebas and Milotic are in the Shinou Dex, that's if you want to spend your day looking for them ^_^

Bah, I'd be better off going with what I got now, then trading my Emerald team for Wifi playing and whatnot :P Though I have this problem with being a little picky about my party, especially in a new game like this, 'cause I don't know anything about what I can get and where yet >_> Need players guide. Hah.

haha, I'm the same way! Out of the three Pokes on my team so far, two of them are originals: Goldbat and Kadabra. Bad habit of going with things I can predict. I hate when I'm doing well, and then keep my Kadabra in only to realize that the next Poke is a friggen Dark type... and thus, I get pwned. Oh well, as is with any new game!

'nother thing to add: you can actually CATCH Steelix in game. So if you come across a Metal Coat, don't use it on an Onix.

Does anyone know where Beldum swarm? And do you have to beat the Elite 4 in order for them to swarm? I just want my old buddy Metagross on my team.

Route 228 is where Beldum swarm.

And you need to have the National Dex for them to start swarming.

Infernape, Luxray, Crobat, Floatzel, and Misdreavus, traded from my sister's Pearl. The last two added recently, when I finally gave up and went "Oh screw it, I'm never gonna get the things I WANT to use." Either way, I think I'm doing pretty well so far.

My Emeral team iiis...Blaziken, Alakazam, Absol, Flygon, Metagross, and Milotic. All of which are at, like, 70 I think. I don't really wanna go through all that again xD

...Now, if only I could find the freakin' GAME...somewhere in this damn house...>_>

This ought to help you guys out. From my official Nintendo players guide on the page for Mt. Coronet (North):

    Catching a Feebas

This underground lake is the only place in Sinnoh where you can catch a Feebas. Doing so won't be easy, however; at any given point there are only four spots in the whole lake where you can catch one, and those spots are different every day and in every copy of the game. (These spots are not necessarily along the shore -- you can fish at the center of the lake while using Surf.) If you don't want to try every spot, get together with other players who are in your group, since the fishing spots will be set in the same places for every member of the group. Note that even at the right spots, the chance of catching a Feebas is only 50%

I typed up the whole paragraph, but we already knew some of this stuff.

It sounds like the changes are:

    • Feebas has a higher chance of showing up if you find the right square
    • Two fewer squares on the route that will have Feebas
    • The hotspots change daily
    • If you are with other people that are members of your group, your hotspots are synchronized

That last one sounds promising, hence the bold. Oh, and in the back for the pokedex entry: "use any rod to catch"

    I hope this helps. :)
