Does anyone know the way the trees work exactly? Does the Pokemon get chosen when you slather the honey or the tree or when you click it later?

I can turn off and turn the game back on without saving and get a different variation of the same Pokemon, but never a different Pokemon entirely, so I'm thinking it is set when you spread the honey, or I'm just rather unlucky...

Blasted honey trees! I had to trade for my Cherubi... And now I get Burmys when I want a Munchlax!

yah i'm getting burmys too, how cheap =/

i have found same rare pokemon with the PokeRadar, however. i found a vulpix, kirlia, and some others. good luck =P

Does it depend on the tree? I got Combees from two seperate trees in FlowerTown (whatever it's called), and a Wurmple from Iron Island. Where is that Munchlax tree?

I got a Combee by VWW. The bridge just BEFORE you get to it from Flower town. Same for the tree by the house up in the area where the Honey Guy is. And the Wurmple is or by Iron Island.

Anyway, I've got 2 Munchlax now, although they're incompatiable, and I'm trying to pick up two more to improve my chances of getting a good pair for breeding. If I get a compatiable pair, I'll gladly trade off the remaining 2 to whomever wants them. Who knows, after I get 4 of them, I might wind up with 2 pairs for breeders.

that's nice of you imtheonekillinu (how ironic XD), but you don't have to breed two munchlax to breed it. are they female? if so, you can just breed it with something in the same egg group that is a male.

Incompatible? Even if it says "They don't seem to like one another" they will still make an egg quite quickly. At least my Gyarados and Barboach said they disliked each other and still gave me an egg soon...

Anyways, my tree should be shaking soon, let's see the result...
    ...
The same tree I kept getting Burmys from earlier (right in front of the windworks) now keeps giving me Wurmples.

I'll try and see if it works. I pulled them out once the old man told me that.

As for egg groups, I'm only just learning about all of that. Pokemon are really new to me.

Actually, looking things up, apparently Munchlax can't breed. They have to evolve first and hold that Full Incense thing... No clue on where to get it.

I'll look more into it. I have an Incense, and will have to check it.

I keep on getting Wurmple. In the flower town place tree, and also the one just across the bridge while you're leaving that. I did get an Aipom once though.
