I ve three Hoenn pokemon games (Colosseum, Ruby, Sapphire). I'm wondering who should I add to my new party : Tyranitar or Salamence. (Please move this if it doesn't belong here)

    T-tar

Let me tell you why I think T-tar. It's double weakness is fighting, whereas Salamence's is Ice. T-tar's Defense is higher than Salamences's Sp. Defense, so it has more of a chance to survive. Also, T-tar can learn Aerial Ace for combating Fight, and Salamence can learn Flamethrower. T-tar's attack is higher than Salamence's Sp. Attack, so it will do more damage. Add in the fact many Ice types have high Sp. Defense, whereas Fighting types generally have low-average Defense, and T-tar's advantage becomes clear. And in this case, Sand Stream > Intimidate. However, this is just the logical answer; pick the one you like more.

    and what's your team?

Tyrannitar is most likely better, due to the awesome almighty sandstorm which instant kills all flail/reversal abusers. Sandstorm easily messes up leftover abusers, which is a heavy loss for tanks who lost their hp regeneration.

Well, I like Salamence more because it combines high attack with high special attack, making it a mixed attacker and covers greater variety of advantages.... Also, it is very fast and my Salamence has very good special defense... But I think Tyranitar is also very good as I'm preparing also to make him enter my team.... It's up to your choice and depends on what kind of trainer you are :)

I like Salamence. No real reason except it looks cooler in my opinion. I don't use either one to tell the truth.
