    Probably in the Japanese version it actually ment "Which Pokemon is the same type as Seviper?" but the dubbers accidentally changed it into evolve
    Um, the Japanese version DID NOT have an equivalent to "Trainer's Choice". All it had was a good-looking eye-catcher.

    (again another error!)in that episode typhlosion could have easily defeated skarmory and steelix but couldnt hurt them or something somehow...
    Obviously it was strong enough to withstand the attacks.

    this is a TYPHLOSION we'r talking about......not a jigglypuff

    and if the scarmory is so strong then how come its trainer has appeared in about twenty episodes?

    I thought it was a dub error, but clealry not. In the anime, pokemon can "dodge" moves which they don't in the game so that effects thing because obviously the battles are in a bigger space than the game.
