    The History of this Land
Humans think they have explored everything. But far to the west of Johto is a small region that is not known by mankind, containing only Pokemon. However, that doesn't mean that it is a completely perfect paradise. There are still Pokemon with different ideas, bad intentions to one group, but just to them. By the others, these Pokemon are called "The Tainted." The Tainted often were hungry for power over this region. However, those that were against The Tainted, called The Pure by themselves, wanted to keep the land in what they considered peace, which was with no battles to the death. Neither group would stop at anything to get what they desired. So they continued to fight.

Eventually, The Tainted began to emerge victorious. The Pure were almost out of hope. Suddenly, a small, glowing figure began to fade into the air in front of the two groups. Many Pokemon recognized this as a legendary being; Mew, who created life. The huge battle stopped for the most part. Except for a highly-ranking Pokemon in The Tainted. He was a Sableye, resistant to almost all of Mew's attacks. As I said, they would stop at nothing. This Sableye began to fight Mew alone. At first, he was losing, but the Sableye did not give up. He defeated Mew, and that's when everything began to change.

Slowly, the once-green region began to turn into a wasteland. Before Mew was defeated, it had left a bit of its own life behind to try and save the region. This was called the Essence of Mew. And with the Essence, Mew left a prophecy: "Two for each season, surrounding this planet on which we live, may restore the world with this Essence." And with the help of Celebi, Mew's lingering spirit looked into the future and chose eight Pokemon to journey for the Essence.

    The Present
Now, 6 years later, the story of The Tainted and The Pure is only old lore... mostly. The land is still barren, and Pokemon struggle to survive, especially herbivores. There is little hope for them, except for the eight Pokemon that Mew's spirit had chosen. No one but Mew and Celebi know of these Chosen; Mew is planning to send a prophetic dream to those who must leave. Something to draw them to a small shrine where Mew's voice may be heard. However, Mew won't let them just get the essence; no, that would be too easy. It has to put these Pokemon to the test. However, if the Tainted are sneaky enough, they may follow…

    Rules

    • Bunnying – please do not control someone else's character without their permission.
    • Warnings ahead of time – if you are going to leave for over a week, please PM me and I'll put it under Absences at the bottom of this post. That way I won't wonder where you are.
    • Mary-Sues – No one does everything right every time, and no one lacks any flaws and is completely perfect. Please make your character realistic.
    • Rating – This RP is rated G for all audiences and must stay that way. No cussing at all, and don't go overboard with violence.
    • Literacy – This is a beginner RP, so I don't require you to post an overwhelming amount. However, this doesn't mean post as little as possible. I'd appreciate if you posted at least two and a half lines per post in a wide style (such as Caramel Sentret), or five lines in a narrower style (such as The Forgotten).
    • Character amount – One character per person, please. Also, I will limit this RP to eight protagonists (including me) and four antagonists.
    • Sign-up forms – Even though this is a beginners' RP, I would like you to at least go somewhat into detail with your forms. Make sure you put as much effort into the sign-up form as you would into your post, especially in the Role-Play example section.
    • Grammar and spelling – Again, this is a beginners' RP and I don't need you to have perfect grammar. However, please at least make an effort on it.
    • Protagonists – Each of these Pokemon will have a special "gift," something that gives them a quality that is different from the rest. It can be anything from long claws to super agility. Just don't make it extremely supernatural, like summoning a forest fire or flight when the Pokemon doesn't normally fly.

    Form:

Name: Your character's name. No codename is required [you'll see one in my form which is why I mention this]
    Gender: Male or Female
    Species: What kind of Pokemon?
Allegiance: Protagonist (those that have been chosen by Mew) or Antagonist (those that follow the above mentioned Pokemon)
Appearance: This only needs to be a few words, since it only requires details that are different from normal. However, you can go all out and describe the Pokemon itself if you wish!

Personality: At least three sentences, please.

    History: Four sentences minimum.

Role-Play example: What's your average RP post like? Please put it in spoiler tags.

Gift: Protagonists only. Antagonists, put N/A

    My form:

Name: Shei (codename: The Demon's Claw)
    Gender: Female
    Species: Mightyena
    Allegiance: Protagonist
Appearance: Due to her gift from Mew, she has extremely long claws, giving her the codename that she had gotten from her pack.

Personality: Shei retains her slightly arrogant attitude from when she was leader of her pack. However, she cares for others and tries to do what's best for them. She is brave and isn't afraid to lead her pack, or any group otherwise, into battle; however, she can be very rash when it comes to fighting, and is likely to start a fight when there doesn't need to be one. Quick to judge, she often assumes what someone is like by their appearance. She doesn't like strangers much, since she's used to being around people she knows. Quiet, Shei prefers not to speak unless asked a question or giving orders. It's hard to make friends with her, but once you do, she is very loyal if you're a higher rank, and caring if you are lower-ranking. Short tempered, Shei is easily annoyed and snaps at the slightest things.

History: Shei was originally part of a Mightyena and Poochyena pack. However, the Alphas weren't her parents, as normal. Her father had been a loner; her mother had been within the pack. She was honored as a member as soon as she got old enough to hunt, although she lived a hard life. She had to fight off other Mightyena packs that were trying to steal her own territory, even when Shei was still a Poochyena. In one last, harsh battle, after she had evolved, the Alpha Female had been killed. In a flurry of panic, Shei was chosen to be the new Alpha Female. From then on she had led her pack bravely, and enjoyed the life of an Alpha. However, she got used to it and became rather bossy with the others. However, when a tyrant was born into the pack, Shei was thrown from the position of Alpha Female, and became a spy instead, to watch enemy packs, and was the one that helped lead attacks against other packs.

  • Name: Sunoh
    Gender: Male
    Species: Glalie
    Allegiance: Protagonist
Appearance: Sunoh's gift from Mew was slightly more resistance to fire. This is shown by the fact that the icy areas on his body are much darker than usual.

Personality: Sunoh tends to have a slight inferiorty complex. Unlike some other Ice-types, he's not very afraid of Rock-, Fighting- or Steel-type Pokemon because he believes that battles can often be won mostly by strategy. He likes to fight against others, but usually it's more of a practically harmless sparring match than an actual duel. He prefers not to be leader of a group because he thinks he can't solve conflicts very well, although when a problem pops up he prefers to compromise. Sunoh hates arguments, and often ignores other Pokemon if they toss a retort at something he says.

History: Sunoh lived in a somewhat small family of Snorunt, with his parents being a Froslass and Glalie and his three siblings all being Snorunt. He liked the idea of how much the word "Snorunt" sounded like "Snover" and sometimes got confused between the two, although he was the former himself. His family was positioned in a group of trees in a cold region, with deep snow that had to be treaded on lightly. His best friend was a Snover. When conflicts started breaking out between The Pure and The Tainted, he huddled close to his family until he was old enough to go out on his own, which was when he deemed himself a wanderer.

  • Name: Rehoma

    Gender: Male

    Species: Houndoom

    Allegiance: Protagonist

Apperance: He lookes like a regular houndoom, but the gift from mew was that two fangs became longer hanging out of his mouth.

Personality: Rehoma is a little bit of a hard head. He don't listen to anyone when they try to tell him something. If he has to fight he will, but he will rather not. He will fight by talking, but not by his body. His opponets always find something to make him attack uncontrollably. He is a good fighter when he keeps his composure, but he has a bit of a temper. He grew up having to fend for himself so he can fight. He is not afraid of a challenge, so when mew told them that he was jumping in joy to get to do his two favorite things: fight, and win the challenge.

History: His parents are a delcatty and a houndoom. The mom delcatty took two skitties to train them while the father houndoom took himself and his brother to teach them how to fight. The mom and sisters died as they were coming back from the training. Rehoma, his brother, and father fought the the tainted party. They eventualy fled the area to find a small cave that they could hide in until they got better. The two brothers continued their fighting lessons for months until they fought to see which one would dominate. After a long, hard battle Rehoma's brother finaly pinned him down and bit his neck. After a while he evolved and mew called apon Rehoma in a dream where he came to the place to recieve the gift.

    Name: Chibi
    Gender: Female
    Species: Starmie
    Allegiance: Protagonist
Appearance: This Starmie looks extra shiny & is very colourful.

Personality: Chibi is quite a nervous Starmie. You might say she was rather timid to others. Her character leaves her quite diplomatic but indignant to what she believes in. She likes to look good so she can't stand it if her shiny coat get's dirty which means she needs to be near lots of water to reguarly bathe in. Mew was always a good friend of Chibi's & she jumped at the oppertunity to help out

History: Chibi's parents were a Starmie & a Gyarados and they supported her very much will she grew up. She was always very nervous around others & as a consiquence she'd usually make careless mistakes but mum & dad were right there to help out & Gyarados would Hydro Pump anyone that made fun of his little princess Chibi. (XD;) Enpregnating mother Starmie was always trouble so Chibi was an only child which in some senses you might say was helpful as there was no sibling to cause her any upset but you might say it was bad too because she only had her parents. As Starmie entered young adult life she began to look at herself & that's when she decided she would always keep herself looking good which meant regular bubblebeams on herself (XD again)

Role-Play example: This is my first RP so I havn't much experience:
    Spoiler:

Gift: Is very accustomable to light & dark so can go very dark & bright when ever necessairy.

    Thanks for reading!

  • You're accepted, but I'll give you some tips.

    • Instead of &, use the word "and."
    • Also, instead of doing this:
      Person 1's name: "dialogue"
      Person 2's name: "Dialogue"
      Person 1's name: "Dialogue"
You should type it out, something like "The trainer cried, 'That Starmie's crazy!'"

Glad to see you in, too!

Even if we don't get members, the RP will probably start on August 1st, which is when I come back from a vacation for which I am leaving in a few minutes. Sign-ups will still be open after we start.

  • Hey, have fun on your vacation! =D

    Name:
    Baby-Doll "Baby" Attridge

    Gender: Female

    Species:
    Dusknoir

    Allegiance:
Protagonist. 'Cause not all Ghost-types are poopooheads.

    Appearance:
Big, ugly, no legs... Yep, that's a Dusknoir!

    Personality:
Baby-Doll misses her trainer and teammates who she left behind to avoid having to drag their souls into the spirit world. Nonetheless, she remains a kind, motherly individual though she finds that she has lost her spark for life. She can be a bit of a nag at times - in fact, some other Pokemon may describe her as just plain bossy. However, this is actually quite far from the truth as she is usually too busy making soup, scaring the living daylights out of the neighbors and sleeping her (un)life away to be bossing anyone around. Baby is unaware that she is gambling with her life(death?) as it is merely her appearance which prevents wild Pokemon from attacking her. While she does a good job of caring for others, she still has difficulty keeping organized, as she always had a trainer to do that for her. Baby is also a bit too trusting of others, though she is smart enough to figure out whether or not she is being led into a trap before it's too late.

History: Having been the offspring of a female Dusknoir and a male Weezing specially bred together to produce a good-natured battling Pokemon, Baby has lived around humans all her life. She hatched in the arms of a professor and was lovingly raised in a laboratory where she was allowed to float around the place until she was given as a Duskull to a then 28-year-old woman named Candy Attridge as a starter Pokemon. She formed a close bond with Candy and treated her as if she were her next of kin. During her seven short years with Candy, she battled various opponents, evolved twice, explored many lands and made many friends inside and outside of her trainer's team. Though her trainer wasn't rich, life couldn't be better for Baby... That is, until one fateful day, she received a command from the spirit world to take her trainer's life. She refused to follow through with it, as she had never believed in destiny or that an individual must die at a certain time. She later found herself becoming less and less able to resist and so she got up and left her trainer before she could do anything she would regret. Other than leaving, that is.
Whilst drifting along a deserted coastline, she met a Wailord who had beached himself. Deciding that it wouldn't hurt to do a good deed, she forced him back into the water by utilizing Earthquake to create an enormous wave which washed him back into the sea. Noticing that she had just used a move which Dusknoir cannot learn naturally, he asked her if she had a trainer. Once she replied that she had lost her, Wailord offered to take her to a place for 'lost souls' such as herself as thanks for saving him. She accepted the ride and shortly after her arrival had scared the wits out of half the Pokemon in the first town she decided to settle into. She later proved herself to not be quite as sinister as she looked by opening a soup kitchen. With the recent war between the Pure and Tainted, her soup kitchen has been busier than ever and she is beginning to have difficulty feeding all those needy Pokemon.

    Role-Play example:
    Spoiler:

Gift: Can phase through wal- Oh wait, she's a ghost-type. Argh. Well, her gift is that she is physically stronger than average. Boring as heck, I know, but it's something.

  • Name:
    Abilene
    Gender: Female
    Species: Carnivine
    Allegiance: Protagonist
Appearance: Abilene looks like most Carnivine, expect that her tentacles are longer then normal and she has a slight discoloration.

Personality: Abilene is a cheerful Carnivine who likes to play. She doesn't really take anything seriously and tends to make fun of those who do. She also tends to play pratical jokes on all Pokemon, expect for those who are stronger then she is. However, Abilene's happy attitude is really just a mask for what she really feels like. It maybe a rare thing to see, but every once in a while you can find her looking up at the stars and sighing deeply. Still, Abilene is a very loyal Pokemon for those who gain her trust.

History: Abilene was born as an egg in a house owned by a rich buisness man and his family. Abilene was then given to the man's son and the two enjoyed playing together through the days. But as the boy grew older and older, he spend more time working and figuring out how to run his father's buisness and spent less and less time with her. It was then that she started to play pratical jokes on him but after one of her jokes went very wrong, the boy cast Abilene away form his presence. So Abilene spent many years just floating from place to place.
During one of her trips she made friends with a flock of Altarias and they agreed to take her to a place where there were no humans, and she might be able to forget her past. It was how the Carnivine found the small island. Unfortunately, she arrived near to where the war was at it's highest point, but Abilene didn't care. She just made sure to stick to the most peaceful areas and to stay far away from anywhere that the two sides were fighting. Though she didn't pay much attention to the war or much that was going on about her, she did notice that things were getting worse. She did want to help, but didn't know how and just continued going about her buisness.

    Role-Play example:
    Spoiler:

Gift: Abilene has the ability to sense things when there is a lot of power coming out of them (aka; like when a Pokemon charges up for a Solarbeam).

    Name: Anevay
    Gender: Female
    Species: Ninetales
    Allegiance: Antagonist
Appearance: Anevay's cream tuft of hair atop her head is ruffled and messy. The tips of all her tails have fur torn off, due to an accident when she was younger.
Personality: Anevay tends to try to act indifferent, when in fact, she cares a great deal. She is, some may say, a slightly vain creature, too full of her own beauty, thus causing her to be patronizing at times. Her nose held up high, she sometimes does not see the obvious things, which is why she needs a partner in order to clear her head sometimes. Happy to take the leader position in any pack, she may make a striking figure to follow, though not always the best one to follow. Despite her conceit, once a companion, she is very loyal.

History: Anevay lived and traveled with two other acquaintances before she joined the antagonists. They were, in fact, a neutral side, happy to leave whenever the going got tough. This prestigious creature was their unofficial leader and subtly made sure the other two knew that. When Anevay saw the chance to have the entire land, she tried to convince her stubborn friends to help her. However, they had no intention of getting into a battle, and dragged Anevay with them. Unfortunately, she would not settle for just this. She ran off and joined the battle for the land and joined The Tainted.

    Species: Eevee

    Allegiance: Protagonist

Appearance: The appearance of a normal Eevee except her fur is yellow, the tuff around her neck and the tip of her tail are a cream color, and theres a cream-colored star on her forehead

Personality: Parupi is a calm, affectionate Pokémon that is more skilled at protecting than fighting. She's bold and doesn't give in even if she's losing and she likes to take charge and lead the way when things are rough.

History: Parupi's parents abandoned her at birth; she never knew what they looked like. Other Pokémon teased her about her appearance but Parupi learned to be strong.

When the Tainted attacked, she hid in the shadows and watched as everyone was killed before her eyes. She couldn't do a thing…

    Name: Jain
    Gender: Male or Female
    Species: Lucario
    Allegiance: Antagonist.
Appearance: She's a standard-issue Lucario, except for a few incredibly important details: she is deaf in her left ear from a burn she sustained when she was young (see History), and an evolution defect caused her chest-spike to not form and her paw-spikes to still be oval shapes like on a Riolu.

Personality: Jain had joined the Tainted with the compelling fact that she would receive more power, and with this power she figured she should really act a lot different than her previous personality had implied. Thus, to the Tainted, she was a stubborn, hot-headed soldier who did almost nothing without being told twice. When the Tainted fell, she reverted back to her original personality: whiny, lazy, cowardly, and an all-around jerk. In fact, the only reason she had bothered to help the new uprising of the Tainted was because she happened to be in touch with a genuinely loyal Tainted soldier who would not shut up until she took up on her word. She never bothered to put back on her 'Tainted' personality.

History: Born to two Lucario in a mountain-dwelling tribe that was far away from the outside catastrophes and entirely self-supporting, Jain had grown up for the first years of her life as a standard (albeit clumsy) Riolu. She was cheery, helpful, smiling, and selfless, as she had been brought up to be. One day, she had tried to help the clan out with a certain task - keeping the Sacred Clanfire going - and ended up burning down half the Lucario settlement and effectively getting her exiled from the clan, being booted out to live on her own.

It was at that point she snapped.

After mulling it over for a few days, she finally 'realized' all the times in her life that she had ended up making situations worse by devoting her cause to them. At first, she had kept away from doing this work for fear of messing up again, but she soon forgot her reasoning and this, combind with the newfound loathing for the labor-valuing Lucario clan who had so mercilessly exiled her at such a young age, caused the Pokémon to disintigrate into a shell of a Lucario with stunted Evolutionary patterns and a habit of being downright lazy.

Role-Play example: Please excuse the fact that it's a different character. Also, the nature of the site I took this off of expected a lot less but a lot longer posts, so Jain's might average about a couple of paragraphs compared to this.

  • Alrite, I have my Sign-Up ready!!

    Name: Extract

    Gender: Male

    Species: Seviper, hissss...

    Allegiance: Antagonisssst ...>>;;

Appearance: Extract's colouring is slightly darker than your average Seviper; the yellow is olive the red is maroon and the purple; cobalt. Slightly uneasy are less experienced foes of Extract's menacing, slighly malevolent stare. When swaying his tail in a threatening manner, the reddish tinge given off acts as a trigger to set off any bottled anger, for both Extract and the Pokemon around him.

However his hiss, slightly higher than standard, doesn't do much to intimidate - merely irritate. When pressurized, Extract will bring himself up to full height and attempt to outstare his opponent with those malicious crimson orbs.

Personality: Extract is aware of his quite menacing appearance and uses this to this advantage. He enjoys daunting others and takes pleasure in their anxiety. He has a cruel sense of humour and prefers to play with his prey before finishing it (A favorite 'joke' is to 'introduce' them to his fangs he has dubbed 'RazorBalde and Mr. Poison') His taunting mannor is, however, only present whenever he himself is the biggest bully on the playground - he has no problem dealing with little foes but when it comes to those of equal size or greater his ego deflates quite a bit.

Extract is not a leader but a follower; he has no problem obeying a master especially if the result is causing misery to befall others. Inflicting pain gives him thrills though he cannot widthstand much himself. Extract does not show much emotion and has never really understood 'love', 'friendship' or 'loyalty'.

This, perhaps, is his biggest weakness.

History: Before and as a young Seviper, Extract lived in a forest inhabited by mainly peace-keeping Pokemon; those who were against the Tainted. He lived alongside them at first merely bored by his uneventful life but soon developed a hatred for togetherness and liking for cruelty. Those he bore acquaintance with were aware of his vindictive personality and unkind ways when it came to catching prey or overally communicating with others. Eventually, the forest Pokemon grew wary of the spiteful Seviper.

The great war between the Tainted Pokemon and Mew was a significant time for Extract; it was time to decide where his loyalties lay. Of course he felt thrilled by the prospect of a fight, savouring the pain he himself would cause. He found it a cause for celebration when Mew was defeated; perhaps now those who called themselves the 'Pure' would become more accustomed to misery and loss.

Now that Mew is gone, Extract is confident about his true colous and his view of the world - the weak deserve to die, only the strong can survive. However many see him as a traitor, the Tainted who betrayed them. This along with his love for pain has earned him many enemies. But Extract won't fall easily; he is willed by his determination the world become a place of misery and only vindictive souls like him who laugh at agony and don't feel emotion reign.

It will take someone with a strong will and forceful spirit to challenge the Seviper- the striker for the Tainted who will not let the 'Pure' reach their goal with any ease.

    ((~I am truely sorry I can't write an example for Extract at this point as I'm out of time but hopefully this will do. It's an extract from an old story of mine centering around Gijinkas, If you would like me to redo it just let me know and I will try ASAP ^^;;

So you won't have much trouble understanding: Salomon a Milotic Gijinka and famous co ordinator is new at a school and bravely (though stupidly) challenges the school's strongest and most feared student. Too late to turn back, the cocky Milotic must face his fears and stupidity head on.

I'm sorry it's so long ^^;; Though it is partly so you will understand the story and party so you will see my writing style~))

"Five minutes to class and I still can't find Lucas. Man, that dude is hard to keep track of!" A male with dark black hair growing down the back of his neck and curling out to each side thoroughly checked yet another classroom with his piercing gold eyes before sighing and announcing it 'no go'.

"He's gotta be here somewhere..." He mumbled, yellow star-tipped black tail trailing the ground.

"Al! Hey!" The Luxio Gijinka turned to see another boy running towards him. He panted to catch his breath before asking: "Any sign of him?"

Al shook his head. "You'd think a Ninetales would be easier to keep track of,"

    "Did you check the library?"

"We have a library? I'm kidding and no, I haven't,"

"C'mon," On turning a few corners, the two boys came to a brown door on an empty corridor. Al yanked the leaf that grew from his friend's blonde head before shoving him forward and grinning. "You won't think that's so funny when I do the same to your tail,"

"At least I don't prune over my tail as much as Lucas. He gets mad if I so much as touch it! You wait, the minute I become a Luxray I'll have him lying flat on the floor!"

"And the minute I become a Meganium I'll have you lying flat on the floor," But the boys' laughs melted into the silence the minute Al opened the door.

A boy of not much more than sixteen sat on a small mauve pouffe, a large book resting on his lap. His cream-colored bangs fell into two blood red eyes and down his back to his shoulders. A main of white fur burst out from his jacket, covering his chest. Two small white claws clasped the book he was absorbed in. But the most impressive part of his appearance were the nine gorgeous cream tales that surrounded him, each thick and fluffy, tipped with light brown.

It seemed neither Al nor Hale, the Bayleef Gijinka, were brave enough to approach him. But the two large, fox-like ears positioned on either side of Lucas' head twitched - he had heard his two friends' footsteps from outside. He looked up, gazing at them with his red eyes.

    "Yeah?"
"Uh-um, w-we wanted to let you know that Salomon has arrived, y'know, the Milotic," Hale seemed slightly proud of himself to be the one to deliver this news but his face faltered when Lucas started laughing.

"You think I care? Please. I've seen this Milotic on TV. While he manages to perform beautifully, he lacks offence. He wouldn't last two seconds in a battle,"

"Well, you know what they say, Milotic hate conflict," Al chuckled uncertainly. Lucas shook his head.
"Is that all you came to tell me?" Al and Hale stood silently, not daring to make a move. "You want to meet him, don't you? Go ahead, but it's a waste of time in my opinion," Lucas, having shown no interest in their news, turned back to his book.

Al and Hale quickly backed out of the room, playfully shoving each other once they were outside. They weren't cowards. They were just slightly in awe of Lucas. He was always so serious. Apparently, after training months at a special camp to learn the list of his techniques, Lucas evolved from a Vulpix to a Ninetales with the assistance of a fire stone at only nine years old. He was easily the most powerful Pokemon in the town of Thystricville.

Al and Hale were determined to remain on his good side - they shuddered when they thought of the last time a kid had upset Lucas. He still hadn't completely recovered from the Flamethrower Lucas had sent in his direction after accidentally tripping over one of his beautiful tails. Hale was somewhat more afraid when it came to that subject - his grass type would be no match for the fiery powers of the Ninetales Gijinka.

There was only one person in the entire town that had ever gotten the better of Lucas - and survived.

"Up ahead! I'm guessing that crowd's not there for the results of the science test!" Al shoved a couple of kids aside to see the person who took the center of attention.

A boy with unusually long red eyebrows was in the midst of this captivated crowd, currently chatting happily to a group of pretty girls. His fine, silver blue hair reached his back and two long, ribbon-like fins draped down from the sides of his head to his stomach. He was wearing a white shirt, blue tie and blue denim shorts. Both of his legs were slim, perfectly shaped - the left a light peach color and the right appearing to have some sort of tattoo made up of gold and orange hexagons. He was, as are all Milotics, breathtakingly beautiful.

Salomon turned to see both Al and Hale staring at him with an oddly slavish look on their faces. He blinked his big amber eyes, and then laughed.
"Um, guys? You okay?" The two boys, now embarrassed turned away, puffing out their chests and clearing their throats.

"Uh, I have to, my girlfriend...I have one..." Hale attempted to show the giggling onlookers his 'manliness'. Of course, a Bayleef can only be so 'manly'. Salomon, however, just laughed.

"You guys needn't worry. I have that effect. I don't blame you," He tossed a loose strand of silver hair over his shoulder. "Male or female, doesn't matter. Everybody's opinion is the same. I'm it,"

A scoff came from the crowd. Salomon turned. "Excuse me?"
"Y'know, I don't think I want your autograph. You're a lot...vainer than I thought," Amber approached the Milotic Gijinka, towering a good few inches above him.
"Don't I have a right to be?" He shot back, folding his arms.
"Don't get me wrong, Milotic are gorgeous. But, geez, no need to rub it in! I have a friend who's possibly twice as handsome as you yet I've never once heard him brag about his looks,"
"Humans are so narrow-minded. They wouldn't know real beauty if-,"

    "He's a Gijinka,"
"...What kind?" Amber tossed back her head displaying, for the first time, two white, pointed ears. "So am I, for that matter,"
"Ponyta. Okay looking Pokemon, I'll admit. Seriously, what's your friend?" Amber stamped a foot on the ground, or rather, a hoof.
"Ninetales. And a gorgeous one at that,"
"Pfft, Ninetales? I could take him, looks wise and strength wise," Gasps seemed to issue from the crowd. Hale took a step backwards while Al's eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. Mandy let out a squeal. "What? He's fire, I'm water, no contest," A look of sudden terror swept over Amber's usually bored face.

"Alright," Salomon took a deep breath and turned. He faced two menacing, blood red eyes. "The gym is available at noon. We'll fight then," Lucas grinned. "It's been awhile since anyone's been brave enough to challenge me,"
    -oOo-
Salomon was having a lot of trouble concentrating on the difference between an Eastern Shellos and a Western Shellos. Even though he usually flew through lessons, the fact that he had just challenged a humongous fire-breathing kitsune seemed to bum him out a little. Okay, a lot.

'The minute that bell rings, I'm history...' He shut his eyes, trying to ignore the feeling of fright that kept attacking him. Ever since announcing he would have no problem defeating Lucas, the school's attitude towards him seemed to be divided. Half of the pupils patted him on the back saying 'Way to go!' while the other half gave him continuous death glares or evil-looking smirks.

Because Salomon was like a typical Milotic - he hated conflict. Furthermore, he had never fought before. Well, not real battles. He had a feeling splashing around with a Gyrados and Mantine didn't exactly count.

But this was real. And from what he had heard from various students, he didn't stand a chance. He may have had a type advantage but that didn't seem like very much when he stared into those evil red eyes of the Ninetales.

And here it was. The moment he had been dreading. A gong sounded from somewhere. Salomon found himself being ushered out of the classroom and down a long hallway. Before he knew it, he was standing on a battlefield, facing the Ninetales Gijinka. No...Wait.

Someone, a boy, was in the middle of the arena. He appeared to be reasoning with Lucas.

"He's just a kid, he didn't know any better!"
"Too late! He challenged me and I accepted. Now, get lost if you know what's good for you!" But the boy didn't budge. Salomon was grateful, but he didn't think it was that smart to annoy someone with razor-sharp fangs and the ability to control fire. Then, he was one to talk.

But, taking a closer look at the boy, Salomon noticed he, too, possessed two large fox-like ears and a fluffy cream chest. He was a good deal shorter than Lucas but somehow managed to stand his ground a lot better than most.

"I'll fight you instead!" The boy roared.

"I told you, I don't fight baby Pokemon!" Lucas retorted, shoving him out of the way to face Salomon.
"I. Am. Not. A. Baby!" He grabbed the Ninetales' arm and pulled him backwards.
"You're a Pre-evolution! Therefore, a baby. Now, when you've evolved, you may challenge me," Lucas swiped the boy's arm away only to have him perform a weak Scratch attack in retaliation.
    "I'm never evolving!"
"Suit yourself," With one mighty Quick Attack, Lucas managed to push the boy into the sidelines. Salomon stared. Then started shaking.
"Coward!" Lucas screamed, his deep voice filled with loathing. "How dare you send a baby to reconcile with me?!"

"I didn't-I'd never-" But before he could make a move or reply of any kind, a sudden dizziness came over him. Without warning, he felt his legs merge together to form a tail that started to flap in every direction. Before long, he was tangled up in his own body. This was Lucas' Confuse Ray.

"Stop it...Please stop it!" It was as if the world had turned black and the only sound was Lucas' snarling voice.

"I don't show mercy," And then, he was plunged into darkness.

((Em...if you want the full story...just PM me, okay?? //shot// ><..))

    Name: BlakCopyit
Gender: Male ( I know Ditto's are genderless. This is to emphasize his strangeness)
    Species: Ditto
    Allegiance: Antagonist
Appearance: BlakCopyit is a black Ditto with piercing blue eyes.
Personality: BlakCopyit is an almost demonic Pokemon. This is said to be why the tainted chose BlakCopyit. BlakCopyit sometimes leaves the Pokemon who
are deemed unworthy by him for the Protagonists to take care of.

History: BlakCopyit was born to a Ditto and Snorlax in a Snorlax only tribe high up in the mountain. When BlakCopyit's egg hatched it was a black ditto, which roused the suspicion of the Snorlax tribe that his mother wasn't what she seemed. This caused BlakCopyit's mother to be expelled from the tribe, which sent BlakCopyit into denial and his demonic state. He then fled from his tribe , and was found by the tainted and taken in as a last-resort weapon.

Name: Darkly (Codename: The Shadow Lord.)

    Gender: Male

    Species: Flygon

Allegiance: Antagonist ( But not exactly a tainted. You'll see why.)

Appearance: Darkly is pure black, with blood red eyes that have the power to hypnotize you. His wings are capable of supersonic flight, but he doesn't usually do it (It makes him sick). He also wears a large black cape that he frequently trips over.

Personality: Darkly is crazy. Those are the best words to describe him. However, he's not your stereotypical crazy guy. He is in no way psychotic, and acts quite sane. He also loves video games such as Super Mothim Bros. and will beat his minions at them. He's kind of goofy and weird, but in an evil way. His plans are twisted though, such as turning all the pokemon in the world into Dark Sky Zombies, or blowing up the world with the Zap-O-Matic Ray.

History: When he was young, he was snatched by a team of scientists and "Darkified" in thier experiments to create the ultimate pokemon. He was gifted with human intelligence. 1 year later he escaped with their equipment and used it to create his own team of minions. He then formed Team Dark Sky, and set out to Darkify the universe. It did not work however, so he built a skyscraper on the "Wastleland" to serve as his base.

But now that the essence has been discovered, Darkly has one more option...

    Role-Play example:
    Spoiler:

Gift: Well... I know you said we don't have any, but, my character has minions, so I'll list them.

Glitchy (Porygon-Z): Darkly's main minion and his assistant. He builds superweapons, but he still can't beat Super Mothim Bros.

Fat Salamence: His name pretty much describes him. He is dumb.

Gary (Grovyle): Darkly's messenger and stealth operative. he doesn't talk much.

Agent R: Let's just say you don't want to meet him.

    Agent G: Same as above.

  • Everyone above accepted. (I read through everyone's. Good job) Other than Riolugirl. Your character does seem like a bit of a Mary-Sue. Does she have any flaws? Fix that and you're accepted.

Actually, the last spot was just taken. Sorry.

Also, you shouldn't put actions between *asterisks*. Type it out as if you were a story.

@Zenus: Yep, I think we are starting now!

    In Character:

Shei. The Demon's Claw. The Mightyena didn't care what she was called. Tossing in her sleep, she began to dream.

At first the landscape was dark and barren, just like the world outside her sleep. There was a dark, eerie glow to the entire landscape.

But then, there was a light in the middle of the scene. A murmur echoed around the area. "The voice of Life. At the voice of Life's resting place, only then may we be restored."

There was quiet chatter in the background, but Shei saw no one as she looked around. Gasping, she began to step back.

"A tiny temple, the shrine where Life's voice may be heard." And then the light faded.

Shaking her head, the Mightyena woke to the same darkness. The saying still echoed in her head. A tiny temple, the shrine where Life's voice may be heard. She would probably go to the shrine, but what if it was just a dream? It was a long journey through the dark forest to go there. It could mean everything, or nothing. With a sigh, Shei began to creep towards the middle of the forest. However, she was on the edge; it would take a while to get there.
