takes me back - nostalgia

Theme musics, like Pokémon games, Super Mario games, Metal Gear Solid games and Crash games. Also some music have same effect on me, like System of a Down - BYOB and Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. You think "Man, it has been over 5 years!" and then you remember when you first time heard it and did you like it at first time.
 
Anything early 2000's will give me a lot of nolstalga. CRT TV's, Pokemon Emerald, DS Phat just to name a few.
 
My best friend has a PS1 and we're thinking about getting this game called Crash Team Racing which I played a lot as a kid. Ah the memories.
 
I'm going to go in a different route with my answer, and say: Lighting. The lighting in a room, and how the sun shines in, is by far one of the most nostalgic things for me. If it's a certain way in a room, I can be taken to an event in my life where the lighting was similar. Just looking at an everyday object can make me nostalgic. I'm a very nostalgic person who always longs for the past, but is usually excited about the future, so nostalgia is something I experience every single day.
 
Honestly the one thing that brings back the most nostalgia is smells for me.

And then everything else I categorize into either middle school nostalgia or just "when I was little" nostalgia. Then in high school everything became dead to me so no nostalgia there!
 
Pretty much 75% of my music collection, which is '85-'92 vintage. They take me back to a simpler, better time. Same thing when I flip through old car and hotel literature I buy through eBay. Back in a time when we didn't give a crap about fuel mileage and when $18 motel rooms were the norm.

Sometimes visiting where I grew up (which we do every so often because it's the closest place with decent shopping) takes me back as well.
