[Question] Taking Credit for certain things?

So I have a 4th gen tileset and since I'm using it I said to myself that I would like to create doors to show that they open and close. So I created the door character so that it shows how it opens and closes and that's fine. However if I want to share the door I don't think I would need to show credit for the people that created it considering that I just took the door from the tileset that was made by a group of people. And if someone where to use the door character it was made by me and the person using it shouldn't have to credit the creators of the tileset considering that it was just one door and it is unknown which person solely created that door from that house. Is it okay if I go with this since I might be creating a lot of stuff similar to this and I didn't want to get into trouble just because I didn't give credit so I decided to ask here.

I believe in sourcing and crediting. Even though you are wanting to recreate something made by another party, technically it's still their idea (that's how I see it). You can just source the OP and then add your own stuff. It doesn't have to be complicated, something like: OP by Tilemat creations, Redesign by (your name).

I'm an artist, and I use many references and guides by other artists. It's the same way they always want to be sourced and it's respectful to do so. Even though you are re-creating their idea, doesn't mean it's your idea. Hope this helped!

That's the point it was made by a group of different artist. I think I should say something like from the tileset made by so and so...and the tileset is nothing original is a 4th gen rip actually so if it was original I would most likely say from where I got it since it was done by someone or some people but it's a rip from nintendo/game freak... and although I know they worked on it but it's just a door...

Hm.. if anything just soucre best to your knowledge. If even you gotta say 'via google' ya know? Some people/Game companies are just like, kinda iffy about that kind of stuff. Just be careful!
