Well, I was originally planning on seeing only one Tales release this year, but Namco Bandai decided to give us two.
Tales of Legendia
Release Date: February 7th, 2006
Platform: Playstation 2
Story: "Senel Coolidge, a young man and adept at a special skill known as eres, and his younger sister, Shirley, find themselves adrift in the ocean amidst a cloud of standing fog.
Just as they have run out of food and are at the limits of their strength, an island emerges, approaching them with amazing speed, their small boat caught in powerful waves. When they awake, they find themselves washed ashore.
But the island isn't really an island. It's a giant ship -- a relic of an ancient civilization -- and it's home to some sinister villains, all of them intent on getting their hands on Shirley.
They call her "Merines", a legendary being who can control the ship with only the power of her mind. They pursue her for their own ends.
To save his sister, Senel and his party must uncover the deepest secrets of a legendary ship, and in the process, discover the bonds that bind them all." -ToL Site
Battle System: X-LiMBS Battle System.
Battle huge monsters with the X-LiMBS (Crossover Linear Motion) battle system that feels like a fighting game. For the first time in the series, players can throw enemies.
Tales of Phantasia
Release Date: March 6, 2006
Platform: Gameboy Advance
Story: "In this classic RPG with a real-time battle system, players take on the role of Cress, a young swordsman who must set out on a fantastic quest when his village is destroyed in mysterious circumstances." - EBgames
Other then the fact that its a remake of an older game, I'm not too sure on the battle system nor a more detailed look into the story.
