Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk Speculation

    With yesterdays release of the brand new trailer, I think it's about time we start speculating what the game is going to be like plot wise, since we haven't been given that much information. XD These are just a few things I noticed in particular.

    - It's been two years, and the original cast hasn't appeared to change clothes, let alone age. But holy crap Regal without handcuffs. XD
    - The thing in Marta's forehead might be a forming exsphere, it's hard to know for sure at this point.
    - The original cast still uses their exspheres even though Lloyd supposedly went an collected them all?
    - The theme song, "Three-legged Race" by misono, is awesome.
    - Marta has a Mieu keychain, and she also appears to have a Tokunaga on the back of her bag (how many Abyss references can you put on one character? XD).
    - I can't remember where I read it, I think it was on a Famitsu scan, but the battle system won't be all gimmiky with the Wiimote. For the most part it's just button pressing like past games.

    Anyways, I'll add more as I think of it.

    I have even more reason to get one now. But that's looks really cool. So is it a yes that it's going to come to America?
     
    What bugs me is the lack of ageing on the part of all the original characters. I mean, okay, I can accept it on most of them since I know I stopped growing fairly early. But... Genis? Little boys grow so very quickly... why hasn't he grown like a foot? Or at LEAST an inch or something? XDD; Come on, I expected him at least to look a bit different.

    I can't wait for this though. I can't imagine they wouldn't localize it here. The Wii needs more RPGs and ToS did sell well, not to mention they seem to be bringing over more Tales games anyway. :x
     
    I agree, I am pretty sure everywhere will see it, being as ToS was so popular. And I too am disappointed that there is no ageing of the originals. Well, I don't mind it for like Regal, Zelos, Raine, Sheena. Being as they are basically late teens and 20+ so they can't really change in appearance. I woulda liked to see different clothes though.

    Plus, is it just me, or do the textures seem slightly off? I dunno. Oh, and that new one we saw in this one, with the Red hair, I think it was, he is starting to remind me of Kratos, with glasses XD. Though, there will be no Kratos in this game.
     
    I just had a thought as to why Emil and Marta could be fighting Lloyd. Well, Marta and Emil were orphaned after Palmacosta was destroyed, and we all know that Palmacosta was destroyed as a direct result of Lloyd's group breaking the seal at the Tower of Mana. Revenge perhaps?

    It's worth mentioning that Colette has been confirmed as playable (and she still has her wings).

    I am happy she is, but I want Lloyd to be playable, and Raine and Genis mainly. Only thing that strikes my interest is, that with the max amount of players in a team being 8 usually, and that you can make monsters join in this, how will they lay it out? A switch like in ToS? Or more slots to choose from?
     
    Oh yeah... I follow the blog of someone living in Japan who was at Jump Festa and went to the Tales stage. She mentioned that in ToS:KoR, there are a lot of people who resent the merger of Tethe'alla and Sylvarant, and I'd assume others (like Emil and Marta) would resent what happened to Palmacosta as a direct result of Lloyd & Co.'s actions. :x

    She also said KoR has multiple endings aaand... Lloyd has changed a LOT. Apparently he's not dorky anymore! D:

    Wasn't Genis a Half-elf or something? If that's the case, then it makes sense, since they age much slower than humans.

    I hope this one makes it over, since the last one (Tales of the World) didn't.

    That's true, except Raine looks her proper age. I think they stop ageing probably around age 30 or something. So I'd assume before then they age like humans. Raine isn't older than she looks because it was in the plot that she and Genis were abandoned when they were young at specific ages. :|
