    Tales Of Symphonia

Yes, the game that was made for the GameCube.
    Who has played this game?

I adore this game. I have played it so many times it is untrue.
Well, in this topic, you can talk about the game and what your favorite moments were.

    • Also, did you actually "level-up" the dark arm weapons?
    • Who is/was your favorite Character/s?
    • Who was the hardest Boss?
    • How long did it take you to complete?
    • Did you see the twist at the end?

There are so many questions to ask!

Feel free to chat about all of them and more :D

I think this is probably my 3rd favorite Tales game. Doesn't have the most original storyline, but the characters are well developed and the gameplay is fun as with any Tales game. It's been a couple years since I've played it, but Sheena was probably my favorite character. I usually don't bother with side quests so I'm not sure if I did any of the other optional stuff.

Too bad ToS2 was awful.

I liked TOS, but my friends had spoiled everything for me before I played it -_- There wasn't much left for me in that game after that. But spoiled or not, I still prefer Tales of the Abyss :D

Also, even if I had a Wii, I doubt I would play TOS:DotNW. Simply because half the original voice actors have been replaced (Regal is and always will be Crispin Freeman- although he stated why he couldn't return for the role).

    I miss playing ToS!
I want to play it again ><'

I don't have any consoles here with me, since I am at university accomidation, but once I move into my house in July, I shall have my Wii (*Sigh*) and PLAY IT AGAIN :D

Ah, This game is fun. I never owned it though, I played it a few times at a friends. I didn't get too far though. I think I got to a part where there was some other group of kids that were posing as your group.

I don't know, but as far as I got, i really liked the guy with the sword and the red hair.

I was going to get Dawn of the New World for wii, but I couldn't find a copy =/

I'll make it a point to play through the first one AND dawn of the new world at some point. My friend has Tales of Symphonia so I'll barrow it from him, now I just need to find a gamecube memory card >.>

The person you liked is called "Kratos"
    He is very cool.
I know exactly what bit you got up too.

You should invent in getting a copy.
I don't think they are expensive anymore.
You should be able to find a good deal on Ebay =]

You should have been here in 2005...Tales of Symphonia was in such a big swing here, basically everyone had a Tales theme at some point XD And the club itself was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

Anyway, it's a great game. Mithos will always be my favorite character because he's so evilly awesome. I didn't play the second game because I knew it'd make the first game look terrible. So yeah, TOS1 forever <3

Haha, well I do cling onto this game.
I have had it for years ><'

And I wasn't here in '05 unfortunately so oh well! ><'
It was such an epic game wasn't it :D

I just started my fifth playthrough of the PS2 version, I've played the Gamecube version too many times to count. My favorite characters are probably Presea and Raine. Presea is so sad and adorable, and Raine is just hilarious. Sheena's my least favorite because tsunderes are the stereotypes killing proper character personality.
I don't really remember which boss I had the most trouble with, but I guess Abyssion is pretty challenging. (If you're more than one player he's ridiculously easy though since you don't have to cope with redarded ally AI as much.)
The twist was pretty easy to see coming, yeah.

Yeah, but I don't have money to pay for it and paying the debt I owe my parents for my Wii and the Conduit comes first. But I will finish this game!

And I thought Kratos was his name, but when I said it in my head it sounded like the guy from God of War so I didn't say it to avoid sounding dumb XD.

But definately a fun game as far as I got.

    Tales of Symphonia~

Other than Pokemon, I think that was my first RPG game, and I've loved it ever since. <3 Even with the other Tales of Games out, ToS will always be my favorites.

ToS: DoTNW wasn't terrible but ToS is a lot better. The only thing I really liked about ToS: DoTNW was some of the skits (even though the voices sucks for the most part, some of them were pretty hilarious if you got past the bad voice acting).

I'm a dork with my favorite character being the dork, Lloyd~ o/

    ...

    And Mithos. Mithoooos~ ♥

    Hey want some hot coffee?
Just kidding, brah, it's cold coffee
Nope, I was lying, it was hot coffee.

Anywho, this was one of the best RPGs on the GC (Not like there was a lot...). I enjoyed it. Genis was the best. It's a shame about ToS2.

Oh man, this brings back memories. I was obsessed with Symphonia for a few years. :| Now I can't even play it since the battle system and its lack of free run hurts. ;_;'

My favourite character was Kratos and my least favourite was Colette. Nowadays, somehow, I think Lloyd is my favourite and Colette is right up there with my favourites. Funny how that works.

I never had a problem with Abyssion but my brother and I always played together so I didn't have to deal with stupid AI as much. D:

I have the PS2 version and I keep meaning to play it but it's been so long that I can't remember the plot so I need to play it again in English first. I was gonna do that before ToS2 but got lazy. @_@; I started ToS2 but got stuck at some stupid boss and then lost the disc, haha.

I adore this game, I was a little late to the party though, I only first played it last year.

My favorite characters are Genis, Zelos, and Presea. But I like everyone in the game to some extent except Lloyd.

    I didn't play the sequel because I heard that it was basically a fan-service spin-off and I didn't want to hear any of the new voices. ;-;

    Ahh bad times :/
Well, I hope that you can get some soon and enjoy this game like us :D

    Lazy!!!! XD
I love the battle system, it gives you more freedom than some of the RPG's out there >.>

I'm not lazy, I just find it hard to take such a big step backwards in battle systems. Once you've played Abyss or Vesperia's systems, being restricted to one line in Symphonia is sooo hard. D:

Haha, I know your not Lazy. Don't worry.

I know what you mean. I played Symphonia before the others ><'

Same. Symphonia was my first and I loved the battle system and thus loved its improvements in Abyss and Vesperia but going back is just... difficult. @_@

    I really do need to sit down and replay it though; I'm used to mages now (I was a hack'n'slasher in Symphonia) so I'll just stand back where I don't even have to run around much. XD;
