I'm more interested in the footage of the antagonists than the protagonists. Luke and them are great and all, but we saw them in a couple of cutscenes in the game. Seeing characters like Legretta and Arietta animated is <3

I wasn't that content with the animation quality, since even in the promo art Luke and Ion (and maybe Tear) are the only ones that weren't hit with an ugly stick. :[ Then the single screens that came out made me nervous, but now that I hear it's going to be a series instead of an OVA, I'm fine with it. I can sacrifice animation quality (though I'll admit it looks much better in the short trailer than in mere screencaps :D) for a longer series. I hear it's going to be 26 episodes, but I'm not sure if that's fandom getting its hopes up with rumours or if there's actually a source to that.

It also makes me very happy as a hopeless fangirl that Anise and Jade appeared together in the trailer.[/dork]

I know it's a different studio working on this anime, but I kind of wish they'd finish the Symphonia OVA before working on or announcing a new series. I waited so long for Symphonia's and I refuse to believe it's done after 4 episodes and that Tethe'alla trailer. :'(

Yay! I just finished the game a week ago. This makes me very happy. Mieu looks kind of funny though...I hope all the original voice actors will come back for the anime.

hear it's going to be 26 episodes, but I'm not sure if that's fandom getting its hopes up with rumours or if there's actually a source to that.

The rumor is that the show will be taking the late night MBS Thursday block, which means it'll likely replace Macross Frontier. That's the same time slot that aired Darker than Black, Code Geass season 1 and both seasons of Shakugan no Shana and a lot of other anime that have had 24/26 episodes, the last one that had 13 episodes was aired, I think, six years ago, so the chances that it'll be 24/26 are good.
