Tanks and Walls

A tank is something whose object is stalling until the foe faints, for example from Toxic. It's just that usually they have good def/recovery moves to stay alive. A wall, or sponge, is any Pokémon with absurd defense/sp. defense, though I usually call sponges only to Pokémon with high HP rather than high def.

Any examples of each?Please?

What the diference between them?Sorry, I'm a noob at this.

There really is no difference... a Tank is usually a Wall, and a Wall is usually a Tank. There are two types: Special Wall, and Physical Wall.

Special Walls are meant to absorb special attacks (like from an Alakazam). Blissey is normally considered the greatest Special Wall in the game.

Physical Walls, I'm sure you guessed, are meant to absorb physical attacks. Normally any good Steel type makes a decent Physical Wall (like Steelix), but is outclassed by Skarmory because of the immunity to Earthquake, the most common physical move. So, Skarmory is normally considered the best Physical Wall.

Will Probopass and Dusknoir be good walls?

Will Probopass and Dusknoir be good walls?

Dusknoir is actually a fantastic dual wall. Each of his Defenses match Metagross' Attack stat, so right off the bat they are simply monstrous. I'd prefer if he had the ability "Levitate", but beggars can't be choosers. ;) However, while he's got surprisingly good Attack, his HP and Speed are terrible. Speed doesn't matter with a Wall, but do be sure (if you EV train him) to max out HP before even touching any other stat. And make sure he's got Pain Split in his moveset, and Will-O-Wisp for good measures.

Also, look into Spiritomb. Not as good Defenses (both of his are 108 base, while Dusknoir is 135 base), but Tomby's Ghost/Dark typing leaves it with NO weaknesses, with Dusknoir is weak against Ghost, Psychic, and Dark. I think in a staller battle against each other, Spiritomb would win against Dusknoir. But I've yet to have that happen, so I could be wrong.

Jinnai taichou - that's technically correct, but any Wall can dish out a decent STAB attack - Steelix with a STAB Earthquake, Skarmory with STAB Drill Peck. And even Blissey can do some decent damage with an average Special Attack. But yeah, when talking in terms of a pure "Tank", Weezing would be the prime example. I've seen thing guy destroy teams that couldn't counter it.

No, it's the other way around. If you're thinking about Gengar, it's because he's part poison.

Really? I thought they were super effective against each other. Damn... I always just thought Gengar had a 4x weakness to Psychic. Well, you learn something new every day!

Truth be told, Gengar is the only Ghost type I've ever really countered with a Psychic (my trusty Alakazam), so it's understandable I was confused. :P
