TCG Daily Chit Chat

If you already know how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is easily picked up.

In terms of basic concepts, I personally think that the Pokemon TCG is harder than YGO TCG... After reading a rulebook of some sort (for YGO, upperdeck got the rules in sufficient details), I learned both from first playing the gameboy version (Pokemon TCG) and for YGO, the GBA ones first to put them into practice without frustrating any human players because you are unsure of any rules.

If your friend is willing to teach you, of course they're the best source possible.

As for the drop off lockdown with Tsuku and Mask, I still doubt that it's really that easy to pull off if Mask is down to one. The lock takes a fair amount of time, and after game 1 it's pretty easy to side deck against it. It's just Victory Dragon that will stop anyone from giving access to sidedeck that makes the lock that strong and formidable... Either way, no point to talk about the banlist as that's set in stone already...

hmm i didnt know there was a Yu Gi Oh gameboy game.

Thanks alot, i'll check that out. Learning from a game is much easier.

What game is the best one? there are several :\

YGO 2006 one is by far the best, plus it got cards all the way up to Shadow of Infinity. The AI is by far the best and strongest (though still limited, but at least they're not longer suicidal or bloody cheaters with 3 Raigekis, or super lucky like GX Academy.)

If you have a DS, Nightmare Troubadour is pretty cool, althou I've not played 2006 yet so I'm not sure which is better. However, NT's AI does seem very lucky at times...
Don't get Reshef of Destruction though, the rules on that are quite different from the actual rules.

If you want to brush up on rules, Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour for the Nintendo DS is the way to go. However, I also suggest that you get Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters: World Championship Tournament 2006, as it has every card released up to now, and then some. Then you can play them both on the Nintendo DS whenever you want (but obviously not at the same time), since it can hold a DS Game Card and a GBA Game Pak at the same time. And don't lose your stylus!

That would be the one we've all already mentioned: Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters: World Championship Tournament 2006. I can even help you with the puzzles in that game if you want.

Cyber Jar was one of the first 10 cards on the ban list. Personally I only feel 1 Jar card should be on the list at a time. I see Cyber Jar more lethal though even though you may not get monsters on the field to special summon, Of course, mill does not care about that.

The videos are avery good way to learn. The television show is the worst way to learn. The best way is by video game to learn the basics for testing and to rebember it but for more avdanced try learning online/professional player. Rulings on the game always change in the game. Message Boards are a good way also. Just like this one.XD Then theres always a booklet.

Booklet Guide online/offline> Veteran Player>Video Game(Gameboy/Avdance) >Message Board>TV Show

The first 2 are helpful for more avdance playing after you get the basics.

*cough* Uh, Hi!
Uh...
*Thinks of something to talk about*
Ahah!
What do you think of this combo I came up with:
End of the World
King of armeggedon
Barrel behind the door

It works very well with a 4000 LP game. It's an instant win.

Also, I'd post my deck, but I still need a bubbleman for my Tempest, and a Fusion gate for mt Tempest, Rampart Blaster, and Thousand-Eyes Restrict (From the origional PSV. W00t.)

BTW, on Friday, somebody made this trade with me:

My Raviel

For his
Burstsinatrix
Sparkman
Polymerazation
Tempest
And Rampart Blaster.

Was this a good or bad trade?
Also, if it was a ripoff for him, he said he didn't care.

"Barrel Behind the Door" can only be activated against an effect that inflicts damage to YOUR Life Points.

"Barrel Behind the Door" can only be activated against DAMAGE. It cannot be activated against costs like "Imperial Order" or "Wall of Revealing Light". It cannot be activated against effects that cause you to lose Life Points like "The Immortal of Thunder". It cannot be activated against effects that switch damage, like another "Barrel Behind the Door", because they do not inflict damage, they simply transfer it.

Since Demise requires a payment of 2000 life points as a cost. It is not damage. Therefore it cannot work.

For your trade. If the Rampart Blaster and Tempest was not the Elemental Energy version then it seems like a bad trade. The rest of the cards are not that great. Only if the 2 were Ultra Rare.

Whoa, bad time for my computer to go down...

What you perceive so blithely as an insult was actually advice. If you're going to use Raviel, Lord of Phantasms on his own, then go ahead and use Dark World. If you're going to use all three Sacred Beasts in one Deck, my Deck is superior to yours, period. Ectoplasmer works with Malice Doll of Demise, but if you knew that, you would have mentioned it. I've playtested this Deck so many times, and I have never, ever lost.

Now, a word of advice. Run before the mods ban you, because I've just reported you for flaming.

True, Malice was basically made for Ectoplasmer, and I already knew the combo, but since your opponent can burn you in the meantime, it just isn't worthwhile. It also requires HAVING a MDoD handy, and with stats too high to search, it's probably not going to happen too often (unless you cheat).

Oh, and calling me a "miserable oaf" wasn't flaming??

So, Ichapokemr, I challenge you to a Duel on the YVD. The winner of the Match has the better build.

This has actually come up before. There's something weird with my computer and I can't get a YVD game to even start. All I can get is far enough to edit my deck, but it won't actually begin a duel.

I also haven't found anywhere to download the new cards into it.

Waker of Chaos said:
No. If I'm going to Duel online, I'll only use the YVD. That way, he can't cheat.

Ok, now I'm insulted.

Well, moving on...

Drop Off shouldn't have been affected. After all, since technically the card IS discarded from hand to grave, Dark World basically makes it near-worthless. Sure, it's supposed to go with Victory Dragon, but it's more widely used than that, and a Victory Dragon deck is similar to a Phoenix deck in structure (most of the cards for which are still unbanned).

That also goes along with why Cyber Jar is banned--it goes with so many combos that it's become another staple. Beatdown and Mill are more generic examples of where it shines (like Frostweaver mentioned), but there are more specific ones, too, like Phoenix. It also works as a nice wall for when you're about to be smashed by a full field, or as a topdeck card. Its usefulness is about the same as Sangan, which is likely to be banned next.

Time Seal, on the other hand...shouldn't have been banned. There are more powerful cards to get rid of, one of which was unbanned, oddly enough.

~\"Metal Sonic"/~:That trade was okay, especially if the Rampart is Ultra. And, as Haji already said, your combo simply doesn't work.

*pokes*

Cyber Dargon will be released as a 2006 tin promo.

1. Do you have proof, because if you do, you need to post that.

2. If it's true, will that make the CRV "Cyber Dragon" easier or harder to get?

I hope so. Hey, is "Cyber End Dragon" also a tin card now?

So what is up with the new ban list? I just checkedout today and I nearly yelled out loud. I surprise on somethings like the banning of Choas Sorcerer and Snatch Steal. Also Gravity Bind but Sprit Reaper I not surprise except it limited to one. It just skipped the semi and went to limited.
