I think we can finally continue the hack again
 
Could we at the least do something? We're getting left behind by other teams, well.. I know that we're not in a rush, but that's different from staying still like this.

We can restart it if you like. Even with just few members so long as they are active, and does not have many other teams they are into.

I can't just stand here and watch a possible "good-hack" to die, but everything here depends on you Dark.. You started this, and I want to see you finish it.

Leachy,I know that we are having a rough time.I think it would be best to start with the few guys we have.

But because we only got around three/four people.We must do everything in steps again.So first let us finish the story.Then we at least got something right?
 
Jornoboy11, promise to be active, and we'll put you as an NPC in the game(with your chosen name.) maybe as a PKMN Ranger, a scientist, an old man, etc. Well, I only hope that Dark would agree on this one, but this is an idea I came with to motivate our members. ^^

And yes, you're right Dark. Just tell me when I need to do something, and I'll get it done. Now's a good time, 'cause I'm still on a vacation for at least another week.

Let's get this started, and finished people! ^^ Those people that are very much active on the team will get a cameo in the game!! Who doesn't want that??! Well, again.. It's Dark's call regarding this matter, I just shared my idea.
 
I already planned something like a cameo of everyone in the game.

Also every team member got copyright on it.So the download link wont be given public till everyone has played it.Kind of a publicity stunt

I think I already said that the gyms were already done.

I will make a list of things that needs to be done
*Maps
*Scripts
*Stats of all the pokemon
*Story
*Trainers need to be redone
*Different OW
*Different Icons (I dont really know about this one because it will be hard)
*Sprites must be inserted
*Backsprites needs to be finished

As you can see this is a lot that needs to be done.

I can work with the sprites,story,trainers and maps but that is everything I can do it.

I'm very very sorry but I don't really know how to index sprites. Everyone says that you have to decrease the color depth of your fakemon to 16 colours. Then paste your fakemon over the replacing pokemon and keep the same background. And then you have to copy the palette. Then the picture looks nice but if you insert it it will get messed up.

Also which rom are you hacking (firered, ruby etc.)
If you have a task for me tell it. (do you need me as a trainer spriter)

I've got good news. After some research I now know how to index sprites. This way takes very long but it works. But I need to warn you that the sprites at the intro of this threads aren't 64x64 so I hope you can make them 64x64 and they can only contain 16 different colors

also send me the patch so I can insert them. And do I need to replace your 100+ pokemon in chronological order so #1 on your pokedex replacing for bulbasaur and for example #9 on your fakedex with blastoise. Maybe I can also change moves, evolution, type, item holding, etc. too if you want.

Dark, can you send me a patch so that I can start scripting the NPC's? That's what I feel like doing right now. You know, like for example.. "Boy: Do you know that the Jinon region is composed of 3 main islands? Someday I would like to travel and visit all of them." Yep, that's pretty much about it. So the main script editors could just focus on the main events. ^^

Jornoboy11, I think we're doing Fire Red. ^^

Raymanrulz, Same here brotha! xD But at least now, we will start to slowly progress.
 
Is there any way I can already insert sprites on a clean firered Rom and then send it to you so I can already start inserting (maybe also edit stats if you want)
 
Man,this is making me cry we finally can continue.

Jornoboy,It isnt bad I can index them but it would be quicker if we had two people working on it.

Leachy,Just start with a clean fire red rom.We never got anything done so if you can find a clean working FireRed rom we use that one.

Jornoboy,If you can find one that is alright.Maybe when Leachy finished his task then we can go to the insertion.
 
I got it Dark, I'll find a clean FR rom then insert/do the scripts there, then send it to you when done.

Well, to do that I need info's.. What will be our first town/city going to look like??
'Cause for example we'll have a cave, then I can make a kid boy/girl there say: "Tourists that visit the [insert cave name here] cave, says that they can hear a mysterious sound deeper inside the cave. Isn't that weird?"

That's all.
I'm glad that we're working on with the project again. ^^
