Darielle looked at Milano boredly. He seemed fairly certain he was in control, and his words were certain and final; things had to go his way - no highway option. Unless, of course, your name was Darielle Trentham and you had a serious mean streak. "The boss is dead," she said slowly, her mind whirring. If there was no boss, would she still get paid? She wasn't sure if she trusted her new leader. He was putting on a bad first impression, in any case. "I have to think about this," she said as way of explanation and turned away to walk to her newly-assigned quarters. She paused halfway, however, and smirked nastily at Milano. "I don't care about anyone else. I only care that the leader survives so I get paid."
She stormed up the stairs to the second level of the club, not really looking where she was going and deep in thought. The person who had taken her in - Giovanni - had been assasinated. What for? Was there really something despicable about this club that others would hate? Not that it really mattered, of course - as long as there was a pay check involved, Dari didn't care - but it was still curious. Could there really be something here that people despised? Or was it just plain jealousy that drove so many people to challenge the club?
Commotion on the roof brought her out of her riverie. She heard several familiar voices, and one that sent a shiver down her spine. A window at the end of the hallway she was currently walking down bore a sign reading 'Fire Exit' in large green letters, so she opened it and swung herself outside onto the fire escape and began to climb the spiralling tower of steps to the roof. The air had a crisp chill to it that nibbled at her skin through her tight, skimpy clothing, but she ignored it. If her hunch proved to be correct, she would be going through a lot more than a 'refreshingly chilly' evening.
Dari arrived on the rooftop just in time to see the boy who had challenged her - Evan depart the building, followed by a disgruntled looking girl. She had managed to pick up the fact that this girl had called her an 'amoeba'. Staring after them with unblinking, unbroken gaze, she grunted, "I'm not an amoeba." One challenger remained - a somewhat intimidating male with a large katana at his waist. She immediately drew three knives - one in her left hand and two in her right. She tossed one of the two blades in her right hand at the shadow - Twilight - and growled at him as the short knife grazed the assasin's ear and buried itself in the roof of a neighbouring building. "I won't miss next time," she swore, taking up a fighting stance. "Touch the boss again and I swear I'll kill you. You have no right to ask questions here - this is my turf. Don't act so confident on strange terrain. Leave with the girl. You're not welcome here."
