    Currently my team is
    Crocnaw-lv29
    Growlithe-lv19
    Pidgeotto-lv22
    Heracross-lv17
    Eevee-lv7

    and I havnt beat morty yet, I just got to route 38 and what I am wondering is: what type of pokemon should I add to my team? I was thinking of turning Eevee into a jolteon, but im still puzzled who to use for my 6th poke'.
    I would like to use either a Steel or Ground type pokemon(I'm considering Aggron but that wont be till later) or a pokemon who can inflit alot of status ailments.

    what do you all think?

    let's see... assuming that you do evolve your Eevee into Jolteon, I would say something like exeggutor, but if it must be a steel or ground type, I would use steelix. with a moveset like Curse GyroBall Earthquake and then the last move is whatever you want but preferably not steel or Ground unless it's a stat boosting move or something.
     
    You mentioned someone that can inflict status ailments. The aforementioned Exeggutor can do tat with Leech Seed and PoisonPowder/Hypnosis, and still have enough room for a couple of powerful attacks like Psychic or Leaf Storm. Its only drawback is its seven weaknesses (including a 4x weakness to Bug) and its meh defenses.
