Hello I am just curious of what a good pokemon team's types should be.

Obviously, you would want a balanced team that has moves that can handle any other pokemon type. Avoid using pokemon with double types that are both susceptible to a single type of attack. Example: a ground/water type would be decimated by grass. Teaching pokemon moves that are unexpected is also a good idea, like teaching ninetales dig.

That thing about the Water/Ground thing is rubbish, use Pokemon like that, that only have one weakness, like Swampert, Scizor, Quagsire, Ferrothorn etc, then you can just have something like an Ice and Water type for back-up.

Make sure you use more Dual Types and don't have repetition of types, like for a White team don't have Samurott, Jellycent, Golurk, Skunfisk, ZebStrika etc, cause you have duplicates of types on your team which is bad for coverage.
