Welcome to the Team Scarlet thread!
I am Mankey, the leader of Team Scarlet.
I am working to try and create a Pokémon hack of Pokémon Ruby, I can map well but I need more people to help with the hack!
The hack will be another one of those "Team Rocket" hacks, but this is with a difference. I want to create a whole new feel to the game with a new contintent, "Santoa" (you heard it here first!) and features such as robbing Marts and battling with the police - you will work your way up the ranks of Team Rocket until you overthrow Giovanni!
You start off in Team Rocket's small hideaway village, "Rocket Mountain" (catchy, huh?) as a new recruit (possibly a nephew of Giovanni himself). You are told of the ways of Team Rocket and what they do. You must choose between three Pokémon: Meowth, Ekans and Slowpoke. You meet your rival who is in a similar position to you - only he is working for the police, who believe Team Rocket weren't finished at the end of GSC (they were right!). You journey through the game stealing Pokémon, money, and just about anything else you can find. You recruit wimps into Team Rocket and battle people who aren't paying their "dues"... you're just an all-round nice guy, really!
I am brimming with ideas and have already started on making the map (it's looking good!).
The only thing is, though... I need experienced scripters, sprite artists (people sprites, Overworld etc) and a title screen + title animation editor!
That's right, SCRIPTER(S), SPRITE ARTIST(S) and TITLE SCREEN EDITOR(S)!
The scripter will have to do literally every script as I am awful at it. The sprite artist will have to make awesome sprites for fun characters - Giovanni, [Player], Team Rocket agents, the Police, Gym leaders and more! The title screen editor will have to make the title screen and, if possible, an opening animation (the scripter can probably do that though). I want a maximum team of around seven, but a smaller team is better. If you're a sprite artist who can only do one field of sprite making then don't fret, I can find another one to do the bits you can't!

Another thing... in this team, I see us all as equals. Looking at the roles, I'd say we all have equal duties, I'm just the one going to be putting it all together at the end, so my ROM will be the base where I put in all the ingredients. That's only why I call myself the "leader".
