Everything that occurs can be split into two groups: what is normal, and what is not. Normality is relative, of course. Some even say that humans can get used to anything. People simply get used to the change and live as if nothing is different, perfectly comfortable with their new sense of normality as long as it is changed slowly and allows them to exist in peace. But how quickly that normality can be shattered, whether by a dramatic shift in power or the contents of a syringe. You of all people know this very well. Or... at least you did.
You aren't human, nor are you a Pokemon. You have somehow been transformed into a mixture of the two, becoming both a freak of nature and a powerful weapon. The government understands this, and now you are merely a blank slate in their hands, which you can be certain they will take advantage of.
You were a member of a resistance before your change. The government had taken over every aspect of the lives of the people in all regions, creating one superpower that allowed for absolutely no freedom. People lived like this for ten years, struggling to get used to this new normality. But you never did. You longed for a different world, one that you only remember from younger days or caught glimpses of through the hushed conversations of people around you. The world that they are trying to make you forget, but you refuse to let go of. You eventually caught the eye of an underground group fighting for the same world as you. For some reason they considered you to be a trustworthy asset to their cause and welcomed you in. You eagerly worked with them in their struggle against the government, but soon discovered that they, too, were failing. This eventually drove the resistance to do something kind of crazy. They knew that unless they could find something to turn the tide of their fight against the well-oiled machine, they would fail. So they turned to science. They thought that if they could create the perfect warrior, then perhaps they would be able to stand a chance. Their experiments eventually led them to one final result: the creation of a PokeMorph. You volunteered to undergo the experiment at risk of serious and potentially deadly results because you wanted to do all that you could for your cause, so they put you to sleep and injected the DNA of a Pokemon along with a mixture of chemicals that were the result of their tireless research. The trial was a success in the sense that you had become a PokeMorph, but a failure in so many other ways. First of all, the shock of the experiment on your body has caused the memory of your life up to that point to completely fade away, but the resistance didn't have time to realize this before a troop of special police storm the building, their raid completely destroying all record of the experiment conducted on you. It wasn't until all of the resistance members had either been killed or fled before they discovered you. They almost killed you on the spot, seeing only a mutant product of the resistance's experiments. But some saw an opportunity that they felt just couldn't be wasted. You and the other PokeMorphs were taken to several different government facilities that were within a relatively close vicinity, only separated for fear of a potentially catastrophic clash between unstable types. Now the government is free to decide whether to experiment on you in order to try and make more PokeMorphs or use you as you are.
And so this is where it begins. You wake up in a white room and find yourself hooked up to several machines. You panic, completely confused and unable to remember anything about... well, anything. Someone enters the room and explains to you what has happened, telling you that you had submitted to an experiment that was conducted by the government and had lost your memory in the process. The person then gives you a name that you fail to recognize and tells you about how you were a loyal government worker and had gone through the experiment in order to aid your cause selflessly and without thought of your own well-being. You are told that you will become a member of a special PokeMorph force that will be used to neutralize any misguided resistance against the government. A resistance... That strikes more than one bell for you. You attempt to shrug it off, but something makes you grow even more uncertain. A name, a picture... Something you hear or see brings something back, something that blatantly contradicts the things that were told to you. Something that shows you that the government is lying. You realize that you are being used, but you're not sure exactly how or what for. You were told that there were others like you: freaks of nature. In fact, there had to be enough to make up a team. Perhaps you have met some of them that are within your own building. Either way, you want to know the truth. But how far are you willing to go to find out exactly who you are and what you were made this way to do? And how far will others go to keep you, their weapon, within their grasp?
