Team suggestion

Hello I'm new to the site and I don't have much time to re-search for a pokemon team, and I play Pokemon whenever I have time, but I really like to have a powerful team and a nice one.

What team would you suggest, and what starter? I want a nice team please don't suggest thinks like (purlion or woolbat)

suggest ones with nice stats and move pool, and giving me a strategy for each would be nice, thanks!

my choices.

the water starter - in my opinion- is always the most useful,
then team that with a simple pokemon that has an EPIC evolution
a quirky rock pokemon with ground moves etc
fire dark or fire flying i find best to go with although in pkmn black i find that the litwick (fire, ghost) is brill;).
then instead of getting a lightning pokemon get steel..
and bug instead of grass.

VOILA!then you just go choose your favourites in them sorta catorgaries.
