    NOTES

Umbreon: The Baton Passer. This Pokémon is here to be a lead starting off with Mean Look. After the defending Pokémon is unable to switch out, it is put to sleep with Yawn. If it is later in the game and then Wish would be used to heal the next Pokémon when Baton Pass is used.

Starmie: The Special Sweeper. Starmie is on this team to deal some major damage with it's wide array of special attacks. That's about enough said. Life Orb there to increase SpAtk Damage.

Infernape: The Physical Sweeper. Same as Starmie, except it is there for major Physical attack damage. Life Orb is there to increase Damage. Swords Dance there to increase Attack.

Tangrowth: The Physical Wall. Tangrowth is self explanatory. Starting off by putting the defending Pokémon to sleep with sleep powder, if it not already asleep due to yawn. Then to plant some Leech Seeds, to get some HP back. Knock off is there incase it wakes up, so it won't be able to use its item. Power Whip is there to do some damage. And Leftovers so it will gain more HP every turn.

Swampert: I think this would do a lot better than Quagsire, because it can set up the Stealth Rocks then Roar if needed and. I got this off of Smogon, at first I thought Ice Punch would be better, but then decided Ice does more damage and I only have 4 Atk EVs so I was fine.

Dragonite: The Mixed Sweeper, also self explanatory. Roost is there to restore HP and the other attacks there to do physical and special damage.

Don't lead with Umbreon, many leads run Taunt which totally ruins its Mean Look passing strategy. You need to get Stealth Rock up earl in today's metagame. Quagsire, while extremely cool, is almost entirely outclassed by Swampert in OU aside from Recover, So I'd consider switching it for Swampert and using it for a lead to get some rocks up.

Dragonite needs some sort of speed EVs or else it fails to just about everything. Try 112 Atk / 196 SpA / 200 Spe @ Rash or Mild, with Draco Meteor > Outrage.

I gotta go to class so I'll try to point out some weaks later, but you're incredibly weak to DD Salamence, or Mence of any kind really. Nothing can switch in and take Outrage or outspeed it after a boost.

Choice Specs Starmie is Pursuit bait. Life Orb lets you switch attacks which is honestly better for Starmie.

Psychic doesnt aid coverage. Recover to heal LO + SR damage plz.

Hydro Pump OHKO's Max HP Scizor after SR damage so you could consider that.

Max speed doesnt help, the pokes you speed tie with beat you anyway most of the time.

"Inferior Swampert" That is amplified even more by the fact you lack Stealth Rock.

    Comments in bold.

Ok this team is disjointed and lacks a strategy.

You are using outclassed pokemon and Umbreon is dead weight, same with Tangrowth.

It seems you are too concerned with roles in all honesty when you should be asking questions like "How can i help X sweep ?" or "How can my team support X pokemon/s?" and "How can i remove X pokemons counters for it?" whilst still maintaining a synergistic core (offensively and defensively). I made a guide here, take a look at it.

Not to seem mean but this is also very metagame weak. Take note of the threats here.

    TL;DR

    • Lacks central focus/strategy.
    • Lacks a defensive core or way to keep threats in check
    • Lacks Stealth Rock
    • Using outclassed pokemon
    • Using dead weight that contribute nothing what so ever towards the teams goal.
Id look into that to sort those issues out.

At least you were alright (sort of) with one of the Pokemon.

Your don't seem mean I'll take all the help I can get. Consder it constructive criticism. I'll take a look at those guides. And I took your advice about the inferior Pokemon so could you look at the switches? I didn't put Salamence on the actual list yet, because i want more input.

Infernape: The Physical Sweeper. Same as Starmie, except it is there for major Physical attack damage. Life Orb is there to increase Damage. Swords Dance there to increase Attack and Speed.

When did SD start increasing Speed? It sharply raises attack only.

Actually, Dragonite, with the right set, can LITERALLY 1-2HKO EVERY pokemon in OU, therefore meaning Salamence is a inferior Dragonite. (not really, but in raw power, yes...)
    Want the set?

Uhhhh, no it's not? That's horrible logic. Salamence has been proven to be superior to Dragonite in almost every way O___O

Look up the choice band set.
Not in raw power, Salamance ain't.
It lacks some VERY improtant moves that Dragonite HAVE.

The only thing Dragonite has the Mence doesn't there is Fire Punch, which Mence can do Fire Blast, which is more effective against Skarm and Forry anyways, plus Stone Edge, or DClaw for a more reliable STAB. Bad logic is bad, especially when Mence has a higher base attack, and Intimidate to help its Defense (Which makes it better than Dragonite in that sense too).

On-Topic: The biggest threat to this team is basically anything with speed =/ You need priority or something faster in general, look into that (I'm lazy right now, I might come back later and actually help XD)

I just wrote a huge rate and the server database error deleted it. :\

    I'll just sum up everything:

    1. Run Choice Band Scizor over Umbreon (because Scizor checks the same threats Umbreon does if I recall correctly (factoring what your other team members check)) who can help your team absorb Outrages, Draco Meteors, etc. while also checking Gengar, Latias, Azelf, and to a lesser extent, weakened Jolteon w/ Hidden Power Grass (all of which do hurt your team quite a bit).

    Scizor @ Choice Band
    Ability: Technician
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Speed
    Adamant Nature (+ Atk / - SpA)
    - U-turn
    - Bullet Punch
    - Superpower
    - Pursuit

248 HP EVs to lower SR damage, Superpower for Magnezone and Heatran switch ins, and lastly Pursuit deals with Starmie, and other Psychic- and Ghost-types.

    2. Use Salamence over Dragonite to handle Lucario better because it can set up a Swords Dance on Umbreon, then proceed to OHKO your entire team with Close Combat / ExtremeSpeed. Salamence isn't OHKOed by Lucario's ExtremeSpeed (while Dragonite is outsped and OHKOed by Close Combat with SR up) even with SR up thanks to Intimidate, plus it doesn't break the synergy of your team as much.

    3. LO Starmie can switch into Infernape easily (and other moves on your team if given a chance), and continue to OHKO everything on your team, so I suggest Payback on Umbreon, because Umbreon isn't 2HKOed by Hydro Pump, and it can 2HKO back with Payback. From what I suggested earlier, replacing Umbreon with Scizor will make you weak to Starmie more, but Scizor can still Pursuit it when switching into Thunderbolt / Ice Beam (or you can sacrifice something for a free switch).

    Hope this helped.
