Teen Titans Meet Angel (FanFic)

wow, i havent had a chance to read this until now! this is awesome. MA! cant wait to read some more!!!^^

I'm going to go on to chapter 7 now, but it's so short and I want to get this moving so I'll add chapter 8 too. In these chapters Angel leads the Teen Titans to Thear. And sorry Chapter 8 is so long. Bear with me!

Chapter 7

The next morning the Titans picked up their stuff and headed for home. When he was ready Beast Boy decided to talk to Angel.

?So, you wanna come back to Titans Tower with us??

Angel looked at him oddly. ?You?re home?? Beast Boy nodded. ?Thanks, but I?ve gotta get to my house. I?ve got some stuff to do.?

?Where is you?re house?? Beast Boy asked.

Angel pointed into the woods. ?A ways in there. I?ll see ya around.? And then she headed home.

?She?s really somethin?, ain?t she?? Beast Boy said to Cyborg.

?Who?? Cyborg turned to Beast Boy.

?What d?ya mean who? Angel, that?s who!? Beast Boy waved his arms wildly for emphasis.

?Oh.? Cyborg shrugged. ?Yeah, she?s ok.?

?Ok?? Beast Boy shook his head. ?Are you kidding? She?s awesome! And she?s gonna be all mine,? he said, rubbing his hands together.

?If you want her,? Cyborg said unsurely. ?But are you sure she wants you??

?What d?ya mean?? Beast Boy said, acting offended. ?Who doesn?t want me?? Beast Boy paused. ?Don?t answer that.?

?I can?t believe you didn?t get her phone number or somethin?,? Cy said as they began to leave.

Beast Boy smacked his self in the head. ?I can?t believe I forgot to get her phone number! How am I supposed to ask her on a date??

?Well, ya know, you might just see her in town someday. Girl?s gotta eat?.

?Yeah, unless she?s one of those woodsy types that eat berries and kill deer.? Beast Boy shuddered at the thought.

Chapter 8

Cyborg held up the red snow board looking mechanical device for all the other Titans to see.

?Sweet!? Beast Boy said. ?Uh, what is it??

?It?s a hover board,? Cyborg said. ?You can ride it like a skateboard except it flies through the air, and it goes fast!? Cyborg smiled at his ingenious invention. ?And Robin is the first one to try it out.?

?Alright!? Robin said hopping off the couch.

They all walked outside behind Robin, onto the little island that Titans Tower stood on.

?Just try crossing the water to the city first,? Cyborg told Robin.

?Great. So, how do I ride it??

?You put your feet here and press this little button in front. That makes sure your feet won?t slip off while you ride.? Robin bent down to press the little button labeled Foot Lock. Suddenly the hover board began rising in the air. Robin stood up straight and the it stood in midair. ?When you want to go higher you bend down. When you want to go lower you push the board down after bending a little. When you want to go right you lean to the right and push the hover board left. Same goes for going left.?

It took Robin a little while to get used to the hover board, but when he did he was soaring through the air and doing tricks.

Just as Robin got done riding the hover board Angel flew across the lake and stood next to the group. ?Oh cool!? she said. ?What?s it for??

Cyborg smiled proudly. ?I made one for me and Robin to use on our trip to Thear.?

Angel stiffened. ?You?re bringing those to Thear?? she said harshly.

Cyborg paused. ?Yeah,? he said slowly. ?What?s wrong??

?Technology isn?t allowed on Thear.?

?Don?tcha think you could make an exception for these beauties?? Cy said, holding up the hover boards proudly.

Angel knew the hover boards must have meant a lot to him. ?Ok, we can bring them, but nothing else.?

Cyborg nodded and smiled. ?Don t worry, that?s all I ask.?

Beast Boy looked at Angel. ?By the way, when are we going to Thear??

?Whenever you guys are ready.?

Robin looked around at the group. ?I think we re ready now,? he said. ?Titans, let?s go to Thear!?

Cyborg and Robin both got out their hover boards and everyone followed Angel to wherever they were going.

They were all passing over a cave when Angel dropped down and flew into the cave. Everyone flew down with her.

?Why are we in a cave?? Beast Boy asked, looking around.

?Because this is where the portal to Thear is, at the end of the cave.?
Everyone followed Angel to the end of the cave. It was still light, the end wasn?t very far, but there was no sign of any kind of portal, or anything at all really. Just rocks and a tiny hole in the wall.

Beast Boy poked his finger through the hole, then took it out as quickly as possible. ?Ouch! That?s hot!? he said.

Starfire was curious so she stuck her finger in the hole and felt the same heat Beast Boy had. She drew out her finger quickly. ?Told ya so,? Beast Boy said.

Angel rolled her eyes and walked over to the hole, and stuck her finger in the hole. Instead of taking her finger out, the wall to the left of the hole began to light up. The Titans saw yellow lighted symbols on the wall, making a circle. Then, in the middle of the circle there was a large yellow light, glowing different shades.

?What is that?? Robin asked.

?This is how we?re gonna get to Thear.?

Cyborg examined the wall. ?But how? It?s just a light.?

Angel put her hand on the wall, but instead of stopping once it hit the wall, her hand went right through the light. Everyone gasped in amazement. ?See?? she said.

?Hey, how come it didn?t do that for me?? Beast Boy said, crossing his arms.

?Because only someone from Thear can do it. The Ancients built it like that so that Earth humans couldn?t go to Thear.?

?But I am not human,? Starfire said.

?Yeah, they kinda made it so that no one could get through unless they were from Thear. So, let?s go! Hobey-ho!? Angel smiled and jumped through the yellow portal.

Robin followed, and then so did the other Titans. It was like nothing any of them had ever experienced before. There was a blue light all around them, with lots of little red and blue and green and purple lights. They knew they were moving, but they couldn?t feel anything at all, just the excitement of the ride.

It only took a few minutes for them to travel through the lighted portal to Angel?s world of Thear. When the ride had stopped everyone found themselves inside a cave a lot like the one they were just in. Beast Boy wondered if they had gone anywhere at all, and if the portal had just made them turn around.

There was a noise behind them that made everyone look back. The yellow light was fading.

?This is it,? Angel said. ?We?re in Thear.? She didn?t say it very enthusiastically, it actually sounded like she dreaded saying the words.

Beast Boy walked up to her. ?Hey, what?s wrong?? he asked.

?I?m just worried about what we might find,? she said.

Beast Boy nodded. ?But you don?t have to worry,? he told her. ?Because we?re here to help you all the way.?

Angel smiled. ?And I can?t thank you enough for that.?

Beast Boy smiled back. ?You don?t have to. We?re happy to do it.?

Angel walked up to the cave exit, which was covered by a weed-like plant so they couldn?t yet see Thear. Angel pushed the weeds aside and looked out.

She didn?t like what she saw. There were dead leafless trees hanging by a thread everywhere. And so many rocks just lying around. Angel looked up at the sky, but saw only grey clouds. Angel sighed and stepped outside so the others could get out. Everyone gasped when they saw what had become of Angel?s world.

?Angel,? Beast Boy said, reaching for her hand.

Angel shook her head. ?I was expecting this,? she said.

As Beast Boy was looking out at the awful scene he saw a brown lizard crawl over a rock. It looked nearly starved. Like it hadn?t had any food for days.

Angel walked past the trees and rocks. She was looking for something. The Titans followed her to what looked like a ghost town. There were lots of old small houses here and there, and what looked like the remains of houses. They all had something wrong with them.

The really scarey part was that no one was there. It was like the village was dead. Some houses? roofs were falling down, some had crumbling walls, and the rest were all covered by weeds and those plants that climb up the sides of brick buildings.

Angel began to run. They have to be here, she thought. Please be here!

She stopped in front of a house that didn?t look all that different from the other buildings. Beast Boy even wondered what difference this house had to Angel. It must be her old house, he thought.

Angel didn?t move. She just stood there staring into the empty house.

?Angel??

Angel wasn?t listening. ?They?re not here,? she said to herself. ?They?re gone. They?re all gone.?

Beast Boy touched her arm. ?Don?t worry, we?ll find them.?

Angel shook her head. ?I don?t even know where to look. I?ve never been outside my village before, except to go through the portal to Earth. I don?t think anyone in my village has either. And if they have, they?re probably dead.?

Angel finally gathered up enough courage to walk into her house. The first thing that caught her eye was a piece of paper lying on an old wooden table.

Beast Boy walked in after her and saw her pick up the yellowed piece of paper. ?What does it say?? Beast Boy asked.

Before Angel could answer they heard a cry outside. They ran out to find Robin lying on the ground with some sort of large lizard with wings on top of him. Robin kicked the monster off of his body and jumped up, whipping out his bo staff. ?Teen Titans, go!?

Starfire floated over to Robin. ?Robin!? she gasped. ?You are injured!? She pointed to his bleeding chest.

?I?m fine,? Robin said forcefully. ?Go!?

Starfire turned around and saw the black lizard standing behind her, rearing up for an attack. Before it could pounce, Robin threw an ice disk at his legs, trapping him for the moment.

?Angel! What are these??

Angel stared at the lizard wide-eyed. ?I don?t know,? she said.

Just as she said that the lizard broke free of the ice and charged for Robin. Starfire shot him with her starbolts before it could reach him.

Cyborg ran behind the lizard and picked it up. Its sharp claws couldn?t cut through his hard metal. ?What?s this thing want?? he gasped, trying to hold the struggling lizard.

?I think it wants food,? Beast Boy said, remembering the smaller lizard he?d seen. ?It looks starved.?

?Well, it can?t have us,? Raven said, using her powers to smash a broken wall into the lizard.

The lizard fell to the ground. Then it began to make a noise from its throat. Unh! Unh!

?What?s it doing?? Robin asked.

Everyone looked around. More of the lizards were coming from behind rocks everywhere. Soon there were 6 hungry lizards licking their lips at the tasty meal that had invited itself into their territory.

Beast Boy turned himself into a T-rex and whipped one of the lizards down to the ground. Soon each Titan was fighting their own lizard.

Angel used her fiery punches and kicks to drive her?s back over a cliff. It was getting closer and closer. Almost there. Angel was about to knock the lizard off the face of Thear, when another lizard came out of nowhere and knocked her to the ground, making sure to put a big old slash through her back.

Cyborg ran over and shot the lizard, ashamed he had let his get away. ?You okay?? he asked her.

?I?m fine,? she said, standing up gingerly. Beast Boy ran over to help her, and the other Titans made a small circle around them.

As the Titans had made a circle, the lizards also made a circle around the Titans.

Angel stood up straight and stretched out her hands. ?Stand back, I have an idea.? Without asking all of the Titans stepped back. Just as they did a ring of fire spread quickly, right between them and the lizards. They all heard yelps from the lizards and then nothing else. Angel let down her fire and fell down to her knees.

?They?re all gone,? Robin said, astounded. He would never had been able to pull off a trick like that.

?Yeah.? Angel spoke between deep breaths. ?They must... be afraid... of the fire.?

Alright, here's the next chapter. I'm not sure yet if some of what happens is going to tie in with the story, I'm still working on that.

Chapter 9
Don?t judge someone until you?ve walked a mile in their shoes, that way you?re a mile away and you have their shoes!

Angel sat straight up despite the large bandage on her back. Robin also had one going along his chest. They had been the only ones injured. It seems the death lizards, as the Titans decided unanimously to call them, only wanted to hurt the two of them and didn?t care about the others.

Now it was night time and Angel had a feeling they wouldn?t attack at night. They didn?t seem to be able to see very well in the dark.

Angel looked around at all the others. They were sleeping. Angel thought about what had happened before everyone fell asleep.

?Here,? Robin had said, handing her one of the TT communicators.

?What?s this?? she asked him.

?It?s for you. You can use it to call us if you get separated and need help.?

Angel had taken the communicator, but she didn?t like it. It was technology. She thought that the hover boards were the only technology the Titans were bringing to Thear, not to mention Cyborg himself. He was a walking piece of machinery, a walking death wish. These communicators were a violation. But they could also be helpful, so Angel accepted it.

The other thing she didn?t like was that it felt like symbolization of her being a Titan. Not that she didn?t like the other Titans, but she didn?t know if she wanted to be one of them. They would want her to go home with them...

Now Angel stood up. The others were fast asleep. She could go back to her house and none of them would follow. She didn?t want to be followed.

Angel opened the creaky door and took out the note she had hidden in her pocket. Right over here, she thought, heading towards a loose board in the floor. She was just about to remove the board when she heard a voice behind her.

?What are you doing here??

Angel didn?t even turn around. She didn?t need to. ?I could ask you the same thing, Beast Boy.? She finally looked over her shoulder and saw Beast Boy standing in the doorway.

?I saw you get up to leave and decided to follow you. Sorry.?

?It?s ok,? Angel said. She had thought they were all asleep. Oh man.

?So, what are you doing?? he asked again.

Angel handed Beast Boy the note and he read it out loud. ?Look under the loose floorboard.? Beast Boy didn?t get it, but Angel had already lifted up to wooden floor piece and taken out a metal box.

Angel didn?t move. ?C?mon, open it!? Beast Boy said excitedly. This felt like Christmas!

Angel nodded and took off the lid. Inside Beast Boy saw two necklaces and a rolled up piece of paper tied with a white string.

Angel took out the two necklaces. They looked identical. They each looked like dragon wings with a multi-colored stone in the middle.

?Here ya go,? Angel said, handing Beast Boy one of the necklaces.

?Wha??

?One for you and one for me. I don?t need two of the same necklace.? Angel placed the necklace around her neck.

Beast Boy stuffed his in his pocket. He wasn?t much of a jewelry wearer.

Angel took out the rolled up piece of paper next. ?Wonder what this is,? she said, unrolling it.

Beast Boy stood over her shoulder and watched. At first the paper looked like someone had just doodled on it. There were four big shapes, one at each corner of the paper. They each had writing and symbols on them. Between the four shapes there was black coloring, and the words ?Dark Waters?.

Angel smiled. ?Hey, this is a map of Thear! And according to it, we are in Great Town, and camped right outside of it. ?Red Country?. That?s our country?s name.?

Beast Boy gazed at the map. Red Country was the shape in the top left corner of the paper. Great Town seemed to be in the Western most part of it. The strange thing was, if it had been a normal map, Great Town would have been in the North-Western part. And those big circles would have been in the North-Eastern part. But instead they were most North in the country.

?What are those circles?? Beast Boy asked, pointing to them.

?Boulders,? Angel said. ?Look, there?s a map key right there.?

?Heh-heh, whoops.? Beast Boy hadn?t seen the map key. ?So, where are we headed??

?There.? Angel pointed at the country in the bottom right of the page. ?Black country, I figure that?s where we can find the last Orbs.?

Even though it was on a map Black country looked scary to Beast Boy. He thought about the Orbs again. When they had first defeated Slade along side Angel, she had said it was sent back to Thear. Now Beast Boy realized that Thear was large. ?Where?s the Red Orb?? he asked.

Angel paused. ?Actually, I don?t really know.?

Beast Boy nearly fell. ?But you were the one who mumbled that... whatever it was. You were the one who sent it here! How could you not know?!?

?Settle down. That was a spell I learned from an Ancient script. It said it would send any of the Orbs back to Thear, but it didn?t say where in Thear, so it could really be anywhere.?

Beast Boy yawned. ?Well, we should probably go back and get some sleep now.?

Alright, here's Chapter 10:

Chapter 10
If at first you don?t succeed, give up and let someone else try, or just find a way around it.

Angel and the Titans walked North the next day. Their plan was to head for Green Country. Angel said it would be the quickest route, and the safest.

Before the Titans went to the bridge that connected Red Country and Green Country, they had to get past a large group of even larger rocks. There was no way past them, except to climb. Which is precisely what the Titans decided to do.

Raven and Starfire easily floated up the boulders, but the other?s weren?t having it so easy.

Beast Boy had turned himself into a mountain lion, and then into a mountain goat, but the rocks were very slippery.

Robin tried to put one of his birdarangs into the rocks, with ropes attached at the ends, but they were too hard. The birdarang barley scratched the surface.

Cyborg and Angel were having the most trouble. Angel would have been able to fly up, but there was no wind for her wings to catch. Cyborg complained he wasn?t built for climbing. How true.

After awhile everyone sat at the bottom of the rock mountain, trying to figure out what to do.

Angel was pacing around. ?If we had a Dragon, this would be so much easier. We could just ride one over the mountain. Heck, the Dragon probably wouldn?t even have to fly. Dragons are so tall they could just step over the mountain.? If this was true, every Titan desperately wanted a Dragon. Angel kept pacing, and muttering about Dragons. The Titans all closed their eyes. The sun was high and they were getting tired. Time in Thear seemed to be slower than time on Earth, which was probably because Thear was further from the sun.

Robin opened his eyes. Something was different. It was quiet. There was no Angel. ?Titans, wake up!? he said quickly.

?Just a few more minutes,? Beast Boy mumbled, but he go tup when he felt a sharp jab in his side. Raven had kicked him.

Robin was looking over the area. Angel wouldn?t have gone off without them. He was walking around the spot where Angel had been pacing when he suddenly didn?t feel any ground beneath his feet. He looked down to see a giant hole in the ground. He hung in the air a minute before the floor under the hole came up to meet him.

The Titans all turned around when they heard Robin give a loud, ?Oof!? from underneath them.

Starfire looked down the hole. ?Robin?? she said, and floated down the hole after her friend. Everyone else followed Starfire into the dark.

But it really wasn?t dark underground. Something was lighting a tunnel. ?Ooh, spook-ay,? Beast Boy said.

Raven frowned. She was hoping it would be dark.

Cyborg looked around. ?Where do ya?ll think they went?? he said in a bit of a whisper.

?Over here!? came a voice. All the Titans looked around to see Robin beckoning them. They all went over to stand beside him to see what he was looking at.

First, they saw Angel, with her back to them. Then they saw some sort of underground village, which looked a lot like the one in Red Country, except all the houses were properly built and sanding strong.

The Titans all gasped in wonder.

?Cool,? Raven said, after a long silence.

?Dude,? Beast Boy said. ?This must be where they all went, all of Angel?s people.?

Starfire smiled. ?Oh, they must be so wise to find shelter under this mountain of giant rocks!? She clapped her hands together.

Beast Boy walked up to Angel. ?Here they are,? he said.

Angel turned around, smiling. ?Yup, all of them, right here.?

The Titans walked out into the village to meet the people. One thing they hadn?t noticed was all of the people who were out and walked around, going to a well that seemed to get its water from above ground, children running around playing with stick dolls and little furry animals and scaley animals and feathery animals.

When Angel walked into the middle of the crowd, some people gasped, and a couple of teens walked out to see Angel. A boy and a girl, both with big smirks on their faces.

?Well look who it is,? the girl said with what sounded like a British accent.

?The village idiot came back,? the boy said in the same accent.

?Oh look, it?s the village bullies,? Angel muttered under her breath. ?Hello Katelyn and Ryan.?

Katelyn frowned. ?Darn, and I thought you were gone for good.? she said.

?Yeah, gone for good,? Ryan agreed.

Angel smiled. ?There?s no getting rid of me,? she said smugly.

Katelyn sighed. ?Yes, what a terrible curse. I suppose you?d like to see the elder. He knew you were coming. He also said you?d want some answers.? She walked off, with Ryan right behind her, like a little puppy dog.

The Titans looked at Angel, who followed Katelyn wordlessly. So the Titans decided they should follow Angel, since they didn?t want to stay in the village square with all the people giving them odd looks, and pointing and whispering.

Katelyn and Ryan led the group to a small hut at the end of the village, apart from all the other houses. Katelyn opened the door and shoved Angel in.

?I?ll leave you here,? she said.

?Yeah, leave you here,? Ryan said.

?Ok, good bye then,? Angel said brightly. Then she turned around and bowed to a person the Titans hadn?t seen at first, because he was sitting in the darkest part of the house. It was a shriveled bald old man who looked like the only thing holding him together was spirit.

The old man opened his eyes. ?Angel, you have returned,? he said in an old, creaky voice.

Angel smiled. ?Yes Elder,? she said.

?But it is not for the sake of seeing old friends, I presume.?

?No sir, I have come because-?

?You fear Slade will try to steal the two remaining Orbs, as well as the Red Orb you sent here.?

?So, you know??

?I know everything, even where the Red Orb is hiding.?

?Then where is my mother? And my brother??

Beast Boy raised his eyebrows. He didn?t know she had a brother.

The Elder sighed. ?Sadly neither of them are with us any longer. Your mother died of plague, and your brother... we have not seen him for a very long time I?m afraid.?

Angel?s head hung. ?Oh,? she said simply.

The Elder looked at her sadly. ?Angel, I know how much your mother and brother meant to you, but just remember, I know your brother is out there somewhere. And your mother?s spirit is always with you.?

Angel nodded, with her head still down.

At that moment animals could be heard howling and growling and barking and screeching outside. Robin turned to Angel. ?What?s going on?? he said.

?Someone must be trying to steal the Orb,? the Elder said calmly. ?Angel, be a dear and see who it is?? That was unnecessary, Angel was already out the door, headed for the cause of the commotion, with the Titans right at her heals.

oh! i see what you mean! i`ve already figured out what happened to her brother!^^

anyways, good job! loved it!^~

Great, thanx! And here's the next chapter:

Chapter 11
There?s nothing to fear but fear itself, and a couple other things.

Angel stopped in front of what looked like a temple. She paused in front of the steps and then ran in. The Titans followed her, running up the steps as quickly as they could.

When they got to the middle of the temple, they saw six figures standing in front of a stand with something red sitting on it. It took awhile for the Titans to realize that the six figures were the death lizards that had attacked them the other day. Then they noticed that one of them was holding something red and glowing in its sharp claws. They also noticed this one was different from the rest, it was bigger and had leathery black wings.

Uhn uhn! The lead lizard made the throaty sound and signaled all the others to attack.

In an instant Robin had hit birdarang out. ?Teen Titans, go!? Everyone leaped for a lizard. Angel was about to but there were none left, which was funny because there were six a minute ago, or so she thought.

Then she heard a sound from behind her in time to see the lead lizard raising a pointy claw above her head. Just as the lizard was about to strike her, out of nowhere came a green turtle, blocking the attack from Angel but got itself knocked into Angel?s chest. Angel let out a mmph and put Beast Boy on the ground. ?Good one,? she said.

Beast Boy turned back to normal and smiled. ?Your welcome.?

The lead lizard had backed off a few steps, but Beast Boy transformed himself into a velociraptor and bit its arm that was holding the Red Fire Orb. The death lizard howled and dropped the Orb, which Angel quickly snatched. Then all of the death lizards had surrounded Angel and Beast Boy, with no weak point for them to escape.

Beast Boy whined, ?What are we gonna do??

One of the lizards was knocked forward onto the ground. In the opening Angel and BB could see Cyborg standing there with his right arm in the form of his cannon.

?Boo-yah,? he said.

Then another lizard was knocked over and they saw Starfire standing over that one. ?Hoor-ay!? she said, jumping up and down.

The next one was tossed through the air by Raven, and the one next to that frozen to the ground by Robin?s ice disk. Only two left. Beast Boy turned into a mammoth and knocked one to the ground.

The last one standing was the leader, and he wasn?t going down easy. Robin extended his bo staff and knocked him in the head, but it grabbed the staff and flung it out of Robin?s hands. Cyborg shot it with his cannon, then Starfire with her starbolts and Raven with her dark powers, but none of them had any effect.

Angel narrowed her eyes. ?Tough little cookie, aren?t ya?? she said. She lit a fire ball in the middle of her palms and threw them at the lizard. It yelped in pain and dashed off with its little crew tagging along behind.

Beast Boy punched his fist in the air. ?Alright Ang!? he cried.

Angel smiled and picked the Red Fire Orb off the ground. ?Good thing they didn?t make off with this.?

Robin nodded. ?And now we should probably be headed off.?

ooo i likie!^^ the battle could have been a bit more descriptive though...

example:

One of the Death Lizards swayed for a moment. It suddently fell forward, causing a cloud of dust to rise. Where the lizard once stood was Cyborg, with his right arm in the form of a cannon.

?Boo-yah,? he said smugly, changing the cannon back into a regular, well, almost regular arm.

Then another lizard fell over and the two friends saw Starfire hoovering over that one. ?Hoor-ay!? she said gleefully, throwing up her arms and closing in for a hug.

The next one was surrounded by a black aura. It was tossed through the air like a toy by Raven, and the one next was frozen solid, because of Robin?s ice disk. Only two were left. Beast Boy turned into a mammoth and trampled over it, but didnt kill the Death Lizard.

?Tough little cookie, aren?t ya?? she said. She lit a fire ball in the middle of her palms and hurled them at the lizard so fast, it had no time to react. It yelped in pain and dashed off with its little crew tagging along behind.

Okay, here's the next chapter. It's not much better than the previous one, but oh well.

Chapter 12

The Titans and Angel set out to the Northern country, Green Country. Angel said it would be a quicker route and probably with less dangers.

Robin led the Titans through a forest. And a very dark forest at that. Angel looked worried. She should be. She didn?t like the dark, and this place was creepy beyond belief. She had also heard stories about people that had wandered through that very forest.

Beast Boy noticed Angel didn?t look too hot. ?Hey, what?s wrong??

?Nothing... except we?re traveling in the Forest of the Lost.?

?Yeah, so??

?So? So, doesn?t the name make you just a little bit worried??

Beast Boy didn?t really know why he should be afraid of the name of a forest. How silly. ?Nope, not a bit!? He smiled.

Angel rolled her eyes. ?I just hope none of us gets lost.?

Beast Boy flashed his communicator. ?That?s what we got these for!?

Angel shook her head. She didn?t care much for those. She looked around. She thought she?d heard something rustling in the bushes. No one else seemed to hear it though. Then she heard something again. Something clicking.

Beast Boy felt Angel jump beside him. ?What?s wrong??

?I think I just felt something touch me!?

?Yeah, so??

?So, there might be something here that wants to kill us, or worse!? Angel looked around as though that something was waiting right behind the next tree.

Beast Boy shook his head. ?Dude, you?re so paranoid!? He laughed at his own dumb joke.

Raven looked around. ?I don?t think so, I heard something too.? It almost sounded like some kind of bug.

Beast Boy smiled. ?You weirdness is contagious.? He got two good jabs in the gut for that one.
They had all been walking for awhile when Angel stopped suddenly and screamed. Everyone else jumped.

?What is it?? Robin asked.

?I ran into a spider web!? Angel whined.

Everyone let out their breath. They had all been expecting that she had seen some kind of monster.

?You screamed because you ran into a spider web?? Beast Boy said in amazement. That was the last thing Beast Boy would have thought her to be scared of.

?A spider web means a spider is around, and I hate spiders!?

?Oh, you?re scared of spiders. You?ve got aracna- ... something.?

?Arachniphobia,? Raven said.

?Yeah, that.?

Angel didn?t say anything but looked around. ?Did you hear that?? This time everyone heard it. Something was moving around behind the trees, making clicking noises and shifting around.

Angel jumped up and ran behind Beast Boy. ?What?s up?? he said. Angel pointed at the ground where she was standing. Now there was a spider there, and not just any spider. This spider was about as big as Beast Boy?s head, if not bigger.

Beast Boy?s eyes widened. ?Dude! Check it out!?

Angel cowered. ?I don?t wanna check it out! I want it to go away!?

Beast Boy turned into a wolf and bared his teeth at the giant spider. The spider made some clicking noises and jumped onto Beast Boy?s neck, sinking its teeth into his flesh.

The wolf Beast Boy made a growling sound before changing back into his human form. The spider jumped off and made a series of horrid clicking noises at his victim.

Beast Boy didn?t do anything, he didn?t even move. Angel stepped over by his side. ?Beast Boy?? She touched his arm, but this time he didn?t feel the warmth, or really anything. Instead he collapsed.

Angel caught him before he hit the ground.

Starfire gasped. ?What is wrong with him??

Raven narrowed her eyes. ?These spiders must paralyze their victims with the venom in their fangs.?

Robin knew how he must have felt. One time a villain with a spider head had paralyzed him. He turned to Raven. ?Do you think this is only temporary??

Raven nodded. ?It should be.? She looked over at Angel, who was obviously worrying about Beast Boy. ?It?s okay, he?ll be fine.?

Angel looked around. ?Yeah, right.? She draped one of his arms over her shoulder and stood up. ?We?d better get out of here before more come.? She began to walk off but the spider stood in front of her, clicking angrily.

Angel stopped dead, and made a muffled sound. Starfire shot one of her starbolts at the spider quickly, but it jumped to the side, and began clicking again.

Suddenly there was more clicking the Titans could hear all around them. Then a few big spiders ran out rom behind bushes, and more came down from trees. Angel stepped back. ?Uh oh.?

Robin whipped out his bo staff. ?Teen Titans, go!? He threw a few ice disks at some of the spiders, but they jumped out of the way and began climbing up his body, trying to reach his neck. He knocked his back against a tree, sending them flying in different directions.

Starfire was a few feet away shooting her starbolts at as many spiders as she could. A few lost one or two legs, but they all kept coming.

Next to her Raven and Cyborg were losing against the spider onslaught. Raven used her dark powers to pick up spiders and hurl them at each other, but while she was busy she didn?t notice anything that would be climbing on her back until she felt two sharp fangs piercing the skin on her neck. She stopped suddenly and dropped to the forest ground.

?Raven!? Cyborg picked her up with one arm and continued shooting at the spiders with the sonic cannon on the other. One little spider decided to take a shot at biting him, but it ended up clinking its fangs on Cyborg?s metal body. He smiled and peeled the spider off his back. ?Tough break,? he said, and flung the spider into a tree.

Angel wasn?t fairing much better than Raven had. She tried to set fires on the spiders, but they seemed to be flame protected. She was down on her knees because the k.o.ed Beast Boy on her back was growing heavy, so she didn?t see a group of spiders come up from behind her, even though she did feel 5 pairs of fangs sinking into her skin.

She heard a noise come from the trees, and saw green fires striking the spiders before everything got black and she lost all consciousness.

Wow, I haven't posted here in awhile. So, for that 1 person who's actually reading this, and just for the sake of posting it, here's the next chapter (which is incredibly long. I need to work on that).

Chapter 13

Angel awoke and realized there was something in her right hand, so she squeezed it. She looked over and noticed it was Beast Boy?s hand. She blushed.

Beast Boy smiled. ?Dude! You?re awake! Finally, you?ve been asleep for, like, 3 days.?

Angel sat straight up. ?3 days?!?
From behind Beast Boy, Raven nodded. ?Since you got such a high dose of venom it affected you the worst.?

Beast Boy looked down, and his ears sagged. ?I almost thought you would never wake up.?

Angel was touched that he felt so strongly for her. Then she realized she?d probably feel the same for him, and she had when the spider bit him. She squeezed his hand again. ?Well, I?m glad you guys are okay.?

Just then an old man with dark skin and a wooden walking stick shuffled into the room. He mumbled something in a different language and held out a clay bowl with green mush in it. He mumbled something again.

Angel cocked her head. ?Sorry, I don?t understand.?

?He wants you to eat it,? said a voice from behind the old man. Another dark skinned man stepped to the side so he could be seen. But there were a few odd features about him. Like Angel he had wings, a tail and horns, but his were all a dark green.

Angel sat up even straighter in her bed. ?A dragoid?? she gasped.

The man winked one of his dark brown eyes. ?That I be. And might I say it?s wonderful to know I?m not the only one left.?

Angel nodded slowly. ?Yeah... same here.? She glanced around at the others. They had already met him. But for some reason they could never understand a word he said. Angel seemed to though.

The man bowed. ?Forgive, my name?s Emrys, of the Green Country people. For precisely, the Tree Town people. ?

Angel bowed her head. ?I?m Angel, of the Red Country people, or the Great Town people.? She gulped remembering their recent visit.

The old man mumbled again. Emrys nodded to him. ?He says you must eat the Healing Potion now, or you will never get better.? He took the bowl from the old man and handed it to Angel, along with a wooden spoon.
?Thanks,? she said, spooning out some of the green stuff.

Beast Boy nudged Angel in the ribs. ?Dude,? he whispered. ?Do you know what he?s saying??

Angel stopped eating. ?Don?t you??

Beast Boy shook his head.

Emrys gave them questioning looks. ?What is your green friend saying??

?He says he doesn?t understand you. And I guess you don?t understand him.? Angel thought for a second. ?How come I can understand you but they can?t? You?re speaking English.?

?No he?s not,? Beast Boy said.

?No I?m not,? Emrys said. ?I?m speaking the Ancient Language. The reason you know what I?m saying is because of the dragoid universal language, which means all dragoids can understand each other. It?s a special magic passed down from the Great Dragons themselves.?

Angel nodded. ?Well, now it all makes sense.?

?What does?? Robin asked.

?I?ll tell you later.?

Emrys scanned Angel over. ?Do you have the Red Fire Orb??

Angel reached her hand into her pocket, but felt nothing. ?Beast Boy,? she hissed in his ear. ?Where?s the Orb??

Beast Boy reached into his own pocket and pulled out the shining Orb.

Angel smiled gratefully and held it up for Emrys to see. ?Right here.?

Emrys took the Orb in his hand, and squeezed it. He stared at it for a second and frowned. ?This is not the Red Fire Orb of Power,? he concluded.

Angel?s eyes grew wide. ?Wh-what do you mean? Of course it is!?

Emrys shook his head, and told the old man beside him to bring him his staff.

The old man nodded and walked out of the room. A moment later he returned with a wooden walking stick, but there was something in the top. Something round and green.

?The Green Fire Orb!? Angel exclaimed.

Emrys nodded and took the staff. ?This is what a real Orb looks like.?

Angel cocked her head. ?But... it looks just like the Red Orb, except the fact that it?s green.?

Emrys shook his head. ?No no, take a closer look.? He held the Green Orb in front of Angel?s nose.

Angel squinted her eyes. There seemed to be some sort of light inside the Orb, like something burning. In a rush Angel understood.

?Oh, I see. The Green Fire is burning inside of it.? She looked warily at the Red Fire Orb. ?But there isn?t a thing burning inside the Red Fire Orb.? She shook her head. ?I can?t believe it! All this time I thought we really had it!?

Beast Boy frowned. ?Wait, are you saying that?s not really the Red Fire Orb??

Angel nodded sadly.

Robin punched a fist into the wall. ?No way! How could this happen??

Raven looked off into space. ?This means that Slade thought it was really the right Orb too.?

Emrys sensed she had said something of importance, although he couldn?t understand her language. ?What did she say??

?There was a man who tried to steal the Orb,? Angel explained. ?He must have thought it was real too.?

Emrys shook his head. ?No, I believe you really had it at one time.?

The words gave Angel a bit of hope. Beast Boy nudged her side. ?He thinks we had it once,? she whispered.

Beast Boy brightened. ?Great!? Then his face grew clouded. ?But I wonder where we lost it.?

Angel thought back. She remembered when Jinx had first stolen it, then their fight at Slade?s lair, then those death lizards at the underground town.

Angel started so quickly she nearly knocked Beast Boy over. ?The death lizards!? she said.

Robin jumped up. ?Of course!?

Emrys cocked his head. ?What are these ?death lizards? you speak of??

Angel leaned back. ?They?re these big reptiles that tried to kill us, and tried to steal the Orb. We fought them for it, but they must have exchanged it with a fake Orb.?

Cyborg raised his eye brows. ?Man, those lizards are some smart ****.?

Angel looked up. ?This means we have to find them and get it back!? She stood up, but Emrys grabbed her shoulder and she stopped.

?No way Angel,? he said. ?I believe whoever has them now is not going to be easy to find. And even harder will be getting your Red Fire orb back.?

* * *

It was decided that Emrys guide the Titans to the Dark Waters, a lake in the middle of all 4 countries. Angel argued that he should just take them to the pass that led to Black Country, but he told her that there was no way you could get to Black Country that way. They?d have to travel to Blue Country and go from there. Apparently there was a wall so large it would take many lifetimes even for one of the Dragon?s to get to the top and go over. The Titans were dismayed to hear their trip to Green Country was in vain, but they were glad to have met Emrys, and also glad that there was a shortcut to Blue Country.

When Emrys led the Titans out of the house they had been staying in, Angel discovered for the first time that they had been living in trees. The house was a tree house, made of bamboo-like material.

Angel stood on the balcony of the house beside Emrys. ?So, why do you live in a tree??

?Everyone around here does.? He looked down at the green grass on the ground. ?It?s because of the spiders. We don?t like them, they prey on our people.? He looked at Angel. ?And others as well.?

Angel nodded. ?They?re foul little beasts.?

Emrys raised his staff. ?We had better get going.? The Green Fire inside the Orb began to glow brightly.

Angel cocked her head. ?What?re you doing??

Suddenly everyone heard a rumbling noise as a large green figure came flying towards them. Emrys? tail twitched impatiently. ?Here he comes.?

Angel?s eyes widened. The green form was starting to take shape. It has two large wings, four powerful legs, a long neck, and an even longer tail. She gasped. ?The Dragon of Green Fire? Why is he coming??

Emrys smiled. ?He?s taking us to the Dark Water.?

Soon the Green Dragon was just below them. The Titans were amazed. He was the size of a whole school bus, maybe even bigger.

Emrys hopped on top of the large Dragon. ?Come on everyone,? he said, waving his hand at them.

Angel jumped off the balcony. She sat down behind Emrys. The Dragon has large spikes on his back, enough so that all the Titans could sit directly between two of them. Angel grabbed the spike in front of her and beckoned the others.

Robin got on behind her, and after him was Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven and Cyborg, who got the rear.

Cyborg looked behind him and saw the Dragon?s large tail swinging back and forth.

Beast Boy squirmed in his seat. ?Dude, why doesn?t this thing have cushions or something??

The Dragon gave a mighty roar and lifted into the air, its wings flapping heavily, picking up air currents to help it fly.

Starfire looked around, the wings were directly at each of her sides. ?I have never seen such an amazing creature.?

Robin nodded in agreement. ?Does it have a name?? he asked Angel.

?Yeah, it?s Gaidraga.?

Gaidraga flexed its massive claws and roared again, having heard his name.

Beast Boy leaned to the side so Angel could hear him. ?Hey, what?s the difference between the Green Fire and the Red Fire??

Angel thought for a second. ?It?s hard to explain. Each Fire has a different property. The Red Fire is only fire, nothing more. The Green Fire is a fire connected to nature, like the ground and the trees and plants.?

Emrys looked back. ?Perhaps you should also tell them about the other fires.?

Angel nodded and looked back at everyone. ?You know how there are also the Blue Fire, Yellow Fire, White Fire, Purple Fire, Black Fire and Golden Fire, right??

They all nodded, so Angel continued. ?Well, Blue fire is connected to water, Yellow to electricity, White to ice, and Purple to mental energy.?

Robin raised his eyebrows. ?What about the Black Fire and Golden Fire??

Angel looked around. ?Uh, well, I?m not really sure. The Golden Fire I think has something to do with Life, and Black Fire with Death.?

Suddenly everyone felt Gaidraga tipping underneath them so that they had to stop talking and use all their energy to hang on. Gaidraga was banking down to a patch of white sand on the ground.

Dust swirled around the great Dragon?s legs as they hit the ground. Emrys jumped off and everyone else followed suit.

Angel folded her arms. ?Hey, why don?t you take us across the Dark Waters??

Emrys petted Gaidraga?s neck. ?Well, Gaidraga?s a bit afraid, and so am I.?

Angel straightened. ?Well, I?m not. But how are we gonna get across??

Emrys pointed to a small row boat. ?You can travel on that. I?m sure you?ll be fine.?

Angel nodded. ?If you say so.?

A bit later the Titans had the boat dragged over to the edge of the lake. Angel was off a ways saying good-bye to Emrys.

?Thanks for your help,? she said, blushing a little. ?It was nice of you to go out of your way like that.?

Emrys smiled, blushing a bit too. ?Don?t worry, it was nothing.?

Beast Boy couldn?t understand what they were saying, but he didn?t really like the way they were looking at each other. Cyborg noticed his expression.

?Uh-oh,? he said. ?Looks like someone?s jealous.? He poked Beast Boy in the side.

Beast Boy was taken aback. ?Dude, I am SO not jealous.? Cyborg gave him a look. ?Well, maybe just a little.?

Angel walked over to Gaidraga and gave him a kiss on his snout. His scales underneath his eyes turned a darker green. ?And thank you too,? Angel said. Gaidraga lifted his head and roared proudly.

Emrys climbed on top of Gaidraga, and waved to Angel as they lifted into the air.

Angel waved back until they were out of sight.

oooo, this is gettin' good.^^ keep going! i love it!
