For example, Dragonball to Dragonball Evolution.

I thought Goku was a little kid in db? And he never went to school. Plus he never met Chi Chi in a frigging party. AND he wasn't bullied. AND-
..Master Roshi reminded me of George Lopez.. :/


Just name any movies that were terrible remakes, or just bad overall.
I don't mind really funny movie clips.. lol..(clips that aren't supposed to be funny in the movie, I mean..)

Technically your example is a "Movie adaption" not a remake.

To me it was "Psycho". The original was perfect to a T, but the new one with Vince Vaughn? Yuck. He can he portray somebody as dark as Norman Bates...

The list goes on

Hollywood could make a lot better movies by doing 2 things only:
1) Hire only people who are charming as actors (that leaves out almost any actor below 40 years of age)
2) Only make movies where the script is fabolous and comes from the heart of the writer - not some writer they hire because now they want a sequel to this or that movie.
In fact, most movies are so lousy that when you take all expenses into account for wathing 1 movie - dinner, travelling, popcorn, tickets and the inevitable dissapointment with most movies - then it can easily run into $60 for 2 people - for basically 2 hours of torture.

A question any really busy director or Hollywood studio should ask themselves:

"Why would I go see this movie myself and spend 2 hours that I don't have?"

If the answer is: I get paid a lot - then don't make the darn movie.

By classic, do you mean something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality or a really old black and white movie?

I think you meant timeless quality, but I wasn't sure...
