    Got issues with Linux, BSD, Haiku/BeOS/ZETA, even AmigaOS/MorphOS/AROS or RISC OS etc.?

    Post away and I'll try my best to answer them. And of course others can help out too.

    P.S. I really should mean by Alternative OS's is anything other than the big three Windows, OS X, Linux.
    But seen as Im probably one of the few on this board that runs one I expanded it to Linux too.

    I tried to build a Gentoo installation a few weeks ago on VirtualBox and ended up with a kernel panic on boot. What do you think the most likely cause was? Maybe I misconfigured the kernel? My previous Gentoo install worked just fine, though admittedly that was on a physical computer and not a virtual one.
     
    OSX86 here. Alternative *and* the best OS available? You'd better believe it!
