Jake started to walk away from the boy he had just robbed. He turned to look at the unconscious boy for a moment, then continued to walk slowly on. The rain was coming down heavily, and it was unlikely anyone was going to find the trainer or the Gible that tried to protect it. But Jake didn't care. He had the money he needed, so he took out his Pokeball and withdrew the Duskull he had sent out to battle the Gible. Before he left, Jake turned to the trainer, and threw a badge with the letters 'TO' written on it. This was his way of letting his targets know they had been robbed by Team Ozone, much like a calling card. Then, he vanished.
Jake was a special agent for Team Ozone, and it was his job to take part in the new Aroia Pokemon League while stealing Pokemon and collecting information about Raquaza's whereabouts. Jake was targeting new trainers that could stand in the way of his mission, but he had to do so discretely, as if he was discovered, he could never enter the League. It was said that the winner of the League Tournament was told the location of Sky Tower, the home of the Legendary Raquaza.
The next day, Jake went into the Gralf Village Pokemon Center. He was going to sign up for the Pokemon League, but as he stepped through the door, there was an almighty commotion. A bandaged Gible was making a giant fuss about a trainer trying to leave. Jake ignored this and went to the counter.
"I'm here to get my Trainer Card." He told the Nurse at the desk.
"Ok then. Please wait here, and chansey will take your photo!" The nurse replied. Jake stood there and right enough the Chansey took his photo, and printed off his trainer card. Jake took his card, and left without another word. He then began to make his way to the Pokemon lab, to get his starter Pokemon, even though he already had three Pokemon. He would still be able to see some of the new trainers who were going to compete against him.
