To Arcanine:
1) The URPG was not a part of the original Pe2K forums. It was formed in 1998 on Yahoo! Groups, and eventually merged into Pe2k after it had split with PC.
2) As for the reputation issue, I was actually addressing it to various members who have pointed out that Shuckle has a negative Reputation, and so this RP idea is bad.
You bring up a very good point about changing the way RPs work. I really can't answer you but say that at Pe2K, the RP forum is still active. Considering the overall activeness, the RPG forum is quite possibly equally active as this RPG, and many players of the URPG still RP often, if not more than they URPG.
If this is a concern of modship, I would like to note that I did accept compromise in having a mod do all the stickying for us and whatnot. In terms of insulting various prominent PC members, I have no idea where I have insulted a prominent member, nor do I really recall insulting, but perhaps it's just my way of dealing with people. Yes, my diplomatic skill needs work, but my diplomatic skill really should have no effect on the merit of this RPG, IMHO. But hey, Pc's call, not mine.
Edit: In terms of getting support from current RPers, I'd have to say I never supported the URPG back on my days in Pe2K, mainly because I only stuck to the strats forum (which I do now on PC too, but only the strats). However, one member who was a part of the URPG encouraged me to try it out, even if it was for one day. I did, and here I am trying to support this system on a whole new forum. I know not everyone's going to support it, but if one member joins, and (s)he finds it fun, and tells friends, then the friends might come. Maybe 50% of them leaves, but then we just gained new members, and word of mouth will spread and help this RPG prosper.
