Were you a Pokeshipper right away or did it take a while for you to like the couple?

After seeing pokemon for the first time on Austar via Cartoon Network i became an instant pokeshipper right away cause Ash & Misty were meant for each other

As the seasons drew on prior to Misty's sad exit from the show there were alot of hints about this couple
 
I know:) and I loved the jirachi movie (and yes i am aware it was a dubbed scene) where Ash said he missed Misty everyday..it was so cute^^ also I liked how it was reflex 4 him to jump on the blimp rope in th mirage episoeds too :D

Maybe its from that scene that the Special 4kids episode come along .. so cool ..

Were you a pokeshipper right away or did it take some time to like the idea of pokeshipping?
I already had anticipated that there was going to be some sort of a amatory relationship between Ash and Misty; they both are your generic archtypes, so predicting some form of puppy love wasn't too operose. I automatically took a liking to the idea of the two being a couple, I found their crush to be quite ambrosial. Though, at the time, I hadn't the slightest clue as to the existence of Pokeshipping (or shipping in general).

By the way, the episode to which you all refer will air on April 29.

^I really want to see it, but they're going to test NEW voice actors in this special! ;___; The special with Ash/Misty/Prof. Oak is basically a test episode for the new voice actors, and if they recieve popular response from the fans, then they're going to permanetly replace the old voice actors.
 
I hope this episode is one that all of us pokeshipping fans have been waiting to see for years and who knows the new Ash & Misty voices maybe their teenage voices even though its only a test

Well, fair is fair. If the fans react positively then we shall acquire a new cast of voice actors/actresses; if the fans react negatively, then we shall maintain our current voice actors/actresses. At least they are giving the fans a say in the matter. However, I do not mind the voice acting being raplaced in particular. I'd prefer to hear Ash with a more mature male voice, or at least done by someone with more virtuoso and experience than Veronica Taylor. Since Kanto, Ash's voice has just annoyed me, and I'm ready for a change - same with Misty.

I don't know, if they're testing the voice actors shouldn't May be in it too and Jessie and James (baisically the same people do them) and why would they test the voice on Misty, she's not coming back anytime soon.....and it will be weird not having Ash's voice with Ash and same goes 4 Misty, it won't be the same :( but at least they'll be together^^ (personally i like Veronica Taylor as Ash and Rachel Lillis as Misty)
 
I'd love a change in EVERYONE'S voices. I won't say that I'm not going to be sad to see the old crew go, but its time for a change. Maybe the new group'll even be able to put the spice into Pokemon back in, the spice that it has lost since sometime after season 1.

But the point is that they're actually going to get NEW people to IMITATE the old people... That means that we'll have some new voice actor trying to croak out Ash's voice just as Veronica Taylor did, and we'll have some woman give Misty or May some high-pitched valley girl's voice. I just feel like the voice actors have developed into the characters themselves, ya know, but let's not make this into a debate ^__^

I see the fan's point, and all I can say is "Oh well". I completely despise the current voice actors and dubbing (which is atrocious) either way. I'm not attached, despite their many years of doing the show. I surmise that I'm one of the few who are glad to see them take their leave. :P

I'd give my undying love to Misty, and I'd give Ash a kick. Or I'd just give the two of them my autograph. Then again, a super-durable bike made for two sounds perfect. ^ ~

Well i heard It's because 4kids isn't going to dub pokemon anymore :( so they need a new company and new voice actors (i think :P )

@Kasumi: I think it's because like KButterfly15-san said, the series is switching dubbers in the U.S. So, 4Kids will no longer work on Pokemon, and it will be Pokemon USA or something like that XD Still, the idea of finding new voice actors who TRY to sound the old ones sounds like a bad idea to me =3
