Okay, what about will Pikachu learn Light Screen in the anime?

i think maybe yes if the anime continues along like that that would be good alongside iron tail and quick attack i don't know if it would go well with the thunder attack

Oh, and about the gender debate... To me Pikachu was really an 'it', not a male or female. All I knew was that it was a cute yellow fuzzball. I'll try to find some info.

Anyway, I've got some info to renforce both sides:

Male:
-In 'March of the Exeggutaur Squad', Pikachu is wearing a bow-tie while helping Melvin Preform.

Female:
-In the first episode that Jiggalipuff is in, Pikachu tries singing. Ash bends down and says, 'Very Good, Pikachu!' Pikachu Laughs a little and blushes (hard)
-It's snoring. 'Ka-Chou' It's WAY too high for a boy's.

wow good points yeah i still beleive it's a female but yeah all that is interesting to know
 
welcome latias :D and does pikachu have fur?

and about the hi pitched ka-chu, males have a device called falsetto (ask your choir teacher about that) that could produce sounds higher that the average female :D
 
Well... I think Pikachu has very short fur. Look at Sparky. Fur Galore.
 
Ash's Pikachu is strong, and well ... scarily, an evolved Pokemon. Its cool, I'm in the club.
