The Authors

With the anthro gone, I dropped my guard position, but kept the sword out. Inclining my head towards Rachel (We'd been given detailed descriptions), I asked "do you mind putting that away for a bit? We need to talk."

"I'll take a random guess and say that another Author is looking for me." I said as i slipped the packet back up my sleeve. Kamek backed off slightly, but stayed at the ready in case something went wrong. As he had learned from countless stories by me, if something COULD do wrong, it DID go wrong....

"Thank you" I said politely, adding "I gather from that exchange that you too have lost your abilities as an Author. I also must assume that you would like that situation rectified."

"aye. I'm almost fearful to meet back up with Eclipse" I muttered under my breath. Kamek moved over to me, seeing I was becoming stressed all over again, and he said to the elfen being "I advise you get straight to the point." It was not a threat. Just a comment.

"Very well. From my information, Chaos has succeeded in stealing Jacob's powers as an Author. This, I also assume, is known to you. Jacob, too, managed to escape. He contacted the leader of the Llanowar Empire, King Agrathain for assisstance. HGe is currently residing in Llanowar. I, along with forty-nin other scouts, were sent out to find other ex-Authors and consolidate them. I can bring you to Llanowar now, if you wish."

"Then do so. However, my Magikoopa ally will be by my side until I get my power back." I said, glansing over at Kristen. "she is one of the other Authors." I added, though knowing that was probably apparent, a human in the midest of Yoshis...

I knew I needed to fix this mistake. Returning to my computer, I began typing. " Suddenly Nero dissolved into dust." But as soon as I typed it, it dissappeared and was replaced with new text. "You really didn't think I wouldn't cover my tracks, did you?" I cursed under my breath. Somehow Nero had gotten control of my power. Probably when he had grabbed me as soon as he had come out of the monitor. I got back up and ran out. I had to find the others, and I could only pray I didn't run into Nero along the way.

"Very well" I replied, resheathing my short sword and extending one hand. with the other, I grasped the pendant that enabled dimensional travel. I added "Grasp my hand. Just make sure you have skin to skin contact."

"Don't you mean scale to scale?" I said as I rested my claw onto his hand, and the edges of my scales around my face turned slightly pink as I felt Kamek grab my other hand. Great, an old crush I had on him still existed.. worst part was I couldn't even get a chance to snap at him, I'd have to claw him when we got there....

"Whatever" I replied, slightly irritated. "I just don't want you lost somewhere in subspace."

"....." I chose to remain silent, containing my irritation, mentally occupying myself with images of slashing up Kamek. Sadly, after a glance back to check on him, he seemed to be enjoying himself, which only encouraged me to slash him...

OOC: Sorry that I've been away for so long, Sickness and other RL factors caught up with me.

Nidhoggir tensed as he began chanelling his considerable non-author powers to begin stripping the doomed human of his physical and mental self, leaving only a soul, which was being warped and twisted by magic into a thing still immortal, yet doomed to an eternity of pain. Perhaps more than was called for, but he certainly didn't feel that way...

Eclipse watched this without much intrest, and Beladran was silent until she finally said "rachel will be back. Mom, I think you've started a deadly game with the Author. It's a game I don't think you will win..."

Nidhoggir turned to his daughter, and opened his mouth, about to ask her a question, when Smaug cut him off. "And wouldn't it be better ti be defeated, or destroyed, than to exist only as a figment of someone else's imagination? At least now, we are the ones in charge of ourselves, and I say that we should live our lives, however long, or short they may be."

"you've never seen her angry. She'll tear all of you from your actual authors, lock you up, tourture you, then collapse when she's done acting like her own creation!" Beladran said. "None of you bothered to be with her, acting like a friend instead of her enemy. I did. I know what she will do."

"It's too late to change, the die has been cast." Nidhoggir said, not in the least phased. Being almost the same person as Robert, they had even had the same memory at a certain point. He knew what Rachel was likely to do, now he just had to figure out how to prepare...

Beladran said nothing, instead moving to a nearby pool of water, that led to an underwater passage out of here. She didn't look back as she dove, preparing to use her morphing ability underwater.

Alzara was not paying much attention to this, she didn't even seem to have her mind in this event. Actually, she was thinking about that cute fire dragon Tokie had introduced her to....

Smaug was trailing after belderan, trying his best to keep out of sight, and using a trick he had developed himself. Rather than appearing hard to see, he was simply making himself inconspicious to the senses, deftly slipping into the water.

Beladran decided not to morph, but dove down further, and she could be heard talking to herself "I shouldn't be with them... Rachel's fury will be enough to kill me, and if I'm with her, I could divert her angerto save the rest of them...

Chos smiled as he made light mental contact with the one called Beladran. He brushed the back of he mind lightly, just letting her know he was there first. As much as he would have liked to simply overwhelm the mind of the pathetic creature, in some cases, finesse was better.
