Haha. Exactly describes my friend IRL. She's a complete idiot when it comes to certain things, but she can be really serious when she's needed to.

The easiest thing you can probably start with is mapping. Plus as you know they have tutorials in here. Besides that. Do you guys have anime game you play? Like Final Fantasy or somethin?
