Those were the days... When we thought that Aizen was good.
Kenta-kun said:I actually always really liked Aizen, until he went all crazy-like. I never saw his betrayal coming (and I challenge anyone to say that they did. Like him or not, I can't see how anybody could have guessed that Aizen---whom we all thought to be dead---was actually behind the whole alluded conspiracy. His characterization was perfect, done in a way that you'd never expect him to do anything evil whatsoever. That's why I normally refuse to spoil Bleach for anybody, because that's easily the biggest and least-suspected plot twist that I've seen in almost any anime series.
As for Hinamori, while she is in desperate need of therapy, we must keep in mind that she wasn't actually awake for Aizen's confessions, and thus missed out on what really defined him as evil. Honestly, after he stabbed her, I thought that he was maybe still good, that maybe it was something he HAD to do, that he felt bad about it, that he was being manipulated, etc. (and then I saw the next chapter, which proved otherwise). If Hinamori had been around for his long-winded spiel, maybe she'd be thinking otherwise right now.
