Here is where you can discuss a triumph of the wills on bicycles in "The Bridge Bike Gang."

    My review to come forthwith.

My schedule will be off today, so I'll be posting it mega-early. Just in case.

Oh, I like this episode. But I've never really understood how it's possible for the bridge not able to take pedestrians, but can take bikes.

I like how they use the Bike Theme when they're first riding on their bikes. Me and my brother have alwyas found it funny when James said "I'm a little busy here!" while Jessie was telling James to steal something while he was rowing their tub.

I wonder why it's so uncommon to see moving cars im this series....

Anyway, I found this episode quite enjoyable with it's unique plot for the show. But I was kind of surprised Pikachu didn't fry their bikes.

Good, piece of information on Jessie and James' past; although I do feel it was just an excuse for Ash and co. to cross the bridge to give them something to do during the episode like in "The School of Hard Knocks". Finally we get the chance to see two of the coolest Poke in battle (ie: Golem & Cloyster). Psyduck during the battle with Cloyster and Brock at the end were funny, classic Pokemon humor indeed...

Besides the J/J origin part, this episode was important to me, as it was the first time I actually paid attention to a character-of-the-day (the Magikarp salesman would be a close second). I loved Tyra's biker punk get-up and outlook, and just smiles from me (maybe it was the hair). I often wondered about her and James, as they would make for some interesting irony in a pairing. Heh.

That part I loved, even the biker standoff in the end (one of my favorite scenes, ever). However, I didn't like how the bikers were ready to ditch the Rocket trio afterward. "ZOMG! A young kid whom I don't know rides a bike okay, so I'll go ditch my old gang members1111001010!"

Should they have been impressed by the twerps in the ending? Yes, but, at least, give some pause for J/J/M, as they did go out there (even though, they really didn't care to). Yeah, and they lost, but the effort should have been acknowledged in some capacity. So, yeah, that ending bugged me, and still does.

The Magikarp Saleman is awesome CoTD ever.

Well, you have to step on somethings to get to others. It's law of my jungle.

The Rocket trio don't ususally get praise for some of the things they do. There may have been a few instances but they don't come all that often. Gangs usually don't look for effort, like some things in real life. Most people just want results. If you don't get the results your higher-ups want you to get, than you'll be let go. An example would be the NFL or any other sport for that matter. I'm not saying that it will happen everytime but that's the usual reason.

Was anyone else scared of Cloyster when it first appeared? It really gave me the creeps.

(Notices Naru, Mitsune, and co. in Keitaru's avatar, quakes in an erratic manner, and clenches teeth angrily, and grunting, similar to Broly meeting Goku, and then, few moments later, calms down.)

    (sees everyone looking at him.)

Err, sorry, just bad memories and angst for a few years about something kicking in and nearly going nuke. I'm ok now.

Anywho... about this episode, I thought it was pretty good. People may have thought that Misty's action towards Psyduck may be abusive, but then again, May's actions in "Cruisin' for a losin'" weren't any different, In fact, I'd argue that it was worse than Misty.

Also, about your complaint about the ending, I think that they were too concerned about trying to get that medicene to the Shellder in the Sunnydale Pokemon Center to worry about team rocket (as they were shouting at Ash, and then looked shocked when they realized that the Pokemon Center needed help in regards to a Shellder.)

And the twerps did, indeed, step on a few somethings (the Rockets' heads) on their way there. Heh.

You're right, in that "we want results" and the Rockets failed (plus, as you said, don't receive credit when they succeed). However, whenever you're racing on an opening drawbridge in the middle of a storm, then I have to say, "show some pause." Of course, it's all personal preference from me. Plus, the episode got retconned out, so I suppose it no longer matters. Not to mention, it's the only exposure we'd have on the gang, so take everything with a grain of salt.

It was mostly Cloyster's opening the shell; quite unsettling.

As for weedle's contention: right, regarding the sick Pokemon. Which is why I won't totally condemn this ending and the character motivations, like I have with others. Like I said, I'm just mixed on this one.
