Sounds cool man… (do mine first, it's easy ;))

WOW! I hadn't even looked and you'd already gone and done did dat! :O

My SU...

Alright so I understand if this is really crappy or over the top, my modem shut down while I was typing this origionally so this is the second, rushed version before I leave for New Hampshire for 2 days tomorrow. I was trying to find a way to have the character have medical ability, and have a reason to be at the church hence his foster father and the whole.. early graduate to college thing, I just didn't want him to have medical obligations at home he had to worry about. If this isn't satisfactory I'd be willing to write an RP Sample up to show you my skill or refer you to some other RP's and RPers I've worked with... I'm just kinda disappointed how bad this one turned out.

Name: Sumner Ryan

Age: 21

Gender:
Male

History: Sumner was born into a small bohemian (A nice way of saying a group of artistic neo-hippies) community on the edge of the Massachusetts "wilderness" if it can be called that. When he was six years old though there was a government raid on the community due to suspicions of less than legal behaviors taking place. The government decided that the environment was unfit to raise a child in and he was quickly relocated into the foster care system.

Within the year Sumner was placed with his new foster father, the pastor at a local church in a small town called Gloucester. He would be sent to a private catholic school until he was 12 years old when his teachers stated noticing two problems with him, one, he didn't really believe in the christian religion, and two he was progressing much more than a child his age should be, already advancing three years ahead in grades. He was given an IQ test by a nearby college and blew the testers away with a result of 147. He continued to excel in school until at the age of 14 he graduated from high school and was accepted into a nearby college with little struggle. His foster father who had at this point adopted the young man was of course very excited about his sons progress in school and encouraged him.

By the time he was 18 Sumner had graduated both college and medical school and was given a job as a surgeon in the nearby Addison Gilbert hospital. There he worked everyday for 2 years, seeing people he couldnt help in anyway but to bring comfort, he was children die in his arms and parents die in front of their children and eventually he couldnt take it anymore, he decided that he needed to find himself again and promptly quit his job. His father recommended getting more intact with his roots trying to encourage his son to take a serious role in the church but Sumner took it in a completely different way.

He looked up where his parents came from and rediscovered the community that he was born into. There he re-embraced his roots as a hippy and got back in touch with himself.

Looks: Sumner has a tall bulky build standing at around six feet and weighing 215 pounds of mixed muscle and fat, he isn't chubby but he certainly doesn't have a six pack either. He has jagged dirty blond hair that he just lets do its own thing and drape over his shoulders. He has deep blue eyes and a scruffy face due to his lack of shaving.

Clothing:
Sumner wears very laid back clothes, deciding to stick with a pair of brown cargo pants and a white tank top. Over the tank top he wears a sleeveless leather jacket and on his head he wears a brown knit snow hat with two tassles going down either side of his head. On his ears when he isnt wearing the snow hat he clearly has 3 helix piercings visible in each ear.

Personality:
Sumner, now more than ever is a very laid back and relaxed man. He is naturally altruistic and values life above all else. The last thing he would ever want to do is end the life of any living creature unless he found it absolutely necessary. He is polite but finds himself almost too comfortable with people at times which can sometimes lead to... Awkward situations.

Starter: Dirt the Gligar

Uniqueness: Dirt is a couple inches smaller than your average Gligar. On top of that he has an odd colored tongue that is the same color as his wings, a dark blue.

Dirt...very...Dirt. Really? Well, your guys a purebred hippy, so I'll Accept. You're in.

Ok, Zirkle38, you still have to get your SU up. Good luck! (You'll need it.)

I'm just about done, but dusk is right before night and church is at dawn, so isn't there like, half a day between the call and the meeting?

Name: Jenkin Saim (Goes by Jen)

Age: 16

Gender: Female,

History: Jen was born in the northern United States; Wisconsin, to be exact. Mother, father, and older brother. Big, happy family. She always liked it there, because if you got too cold, you could just wrap up in another blanket, and it was still warm in the summer. Her parents owned and worked on a dairy farm. Although farming doesn't pay extremely well, Jen and her family were very upper middle class, because her grandparents, before they passed away, were into real estate, which did pay extremely well. The family stayed humble though, with the majority of the money saved up for when Jen and her brother went to college. Even with that money, her parents thought Jen needed to learn responsibility, and had her get a job. She didn't mind, and it paid for her smoking habit. Jen worked at the McDonald's off the highway to get to her small town. Smoking did have risks, though. Like getting caught. Her parents only caught her once, and that's when she got her tongue pierced, to further illustrate that she did not care what her parents thought. After that, her parents started leaving her alone more often, to save themselves from another outburst, and to be ignorant to any other 'bad' things she was doing.

Wisconsin, for the most part, is very flat, plain, and boring. Jen didn't really have any 'close' friends, but was friendly, and well dressed enough that no one had a problem with her. There was always somewhere for her to sit at lunch, and to pass notes with during study hall. Even the occasional boy friend, but nothing serious. Jen just coasted through life without problems, or adventure. That was the problem with small towns. No mystery, no intrigue. Another characteristic of a small town is everyone goes to church. Secretly, Jen didn't really believe in any higher power, but every Sunday morning she got up early, helped her mom fix breakfast, then went down to the old, gray stone building that everyone held in such high regard.

One day, a Sunday, Jen over slept for church. Her family had gone on ahead, and her mother left a note saying: 'Tried to wake you up, but you wouldn't. Better have a good excuse,' Swiftly, Jen threw down the note and started dressing for church. If she kept up the pace, she'd make it just after the morning prayer, which, honestly, no one attends anyway. She was half way out the door when the phone rang. Jen debated letting it go, but her curiosity got the best of her.
"Hel-,"
"Meet me by the forest on the edge of town at dusk. Don't be late." And that was all. Jen looked out the window. It was already bright outside. 'What the hell, I'm a big girl, I can skip church if I want to,' thought Jen. Although the thought of straight out telling her parents that she was done with church was one of the most appealing thoughts on her mind, she digressed and went to her bedroom, to feign an illness. At about noon her parents came back, and her mother, cautiously, entered Jen's room. Although she wasn't great at faking sick, she so rarely was sick, real or otherwise, that her mom always believed her. Jen coughed, looked faint, said I'm not feeling so great, the whole deal. Her mother shot Jen a sympathetic look then went to fetch her another blanket. One of Jen's few talents was that she could fall asleep within minutes.

It was about eight thirty when Jen woke up. The sun was just setting outside her window.
"S'almost dusk," she mumbled to the empty room. Then she remembered that strange phone call. Jen thought about ignoring it, but in a small town like this, what could go wrong? She sprang up, and after a second of dizziness, cracked her door open. The house seemed empty. Another note was placed where the other had been this morning. 'The Ross's are having Sunday supper. Feel better,' Jen threw the note in the garbage. Her mom and these notes was the way they most often communicated. It wasn't a system Jen particularly liked, but it was better than having a snoopy parent. She picked her shoes up off the floor and slipped them, leaving them unlaced. Jen was too keyed up to sit still and tie her shoes.

The forest was a familiar place, and if she wanted to get there by dusk, Jen would have to run. So she sprinted. It wasn't quite dusk; a good ten minutes before, so Jen lit up, pulling a pack of Marlboro reds out of her pocket. Inside the half full pack was a purple lighter. She lit the lighter and pulled it toward the end of her cigarette, inhaling. Jen let out a puff of smoke and took another drag, staying within the shade of the trees. Five minutes later she was down to the filter, so she tossed it down and stomped it out. Jen looked at the sky, and it was definitely almost time to... well she didn't know what. So she stood there, dumbly, at the edge of the forest. A rustling noise within the forest surprised her. Suddenly a voice was behind her.
"Welcome... to the world of Pokemon." and then she was pushed.

Looks: Jen has a thin, soft figure, which stands at about 5'3. Even though she lived on a farm, she didn't do any of the work, and is very scrawny. Very. Her light brown hair is thick, and collarbone length. The part on her right side covers her left eye, and her bangs are cut to her jaw. Her eyes are almond shaped, with dull blue irises, that look almost gray. She's always wearing black eyeliner on her lower lids. That's the only makeup she wears. Her nose is rounded, which matches the rest of her very un-sculpted features. Behind her, usually smiling, lips, is a tongue piercing she got when she was 15. The piercing is a plastic, purple ball. Overall, she isn't bad looking, but there aren't very many who would be jealous.

Clothing: Jen's clothing preferences go toward comfort, rather than style. In the summer she tends to wear black basketball shorts with a purple tank top, and the winter is a pair of purple skinny jeans with a black polo. Purple and black are her colors of choice, obviously, and she really likes plaid things. And things that glow in the dark. Because of the unfeminine style of dress she has, her shirts tend to be tight, to show off what figure she has, to make sure you know she's a girl, even though her hair, always let down, clearly insinuates that. Black high tops are her choice of shoe.
Around her right wrist she has a purple, black, and white beaded bracelet, an elastic blue bracelet that glows in the dark, and a black pony tail holder. A tight black necklace, but not a choker, is around her neck. In her tongue is a purple tongue ring.

Personality: Jen is very evenly tempered, and hard to distress. She also has an over exaggerated sense of fairness and strives to achieve balance in her life. Other people overwhelm her, with their drama and turmoil in their lives, but she also finds it fascinating. If you have a problem, her love for justice will force her to help, along with the fact that she rarely lets people down. If you do get close to her, which isn't that hard, as long as you have a fairly steady and calm life, she's a fierce friend, who will usually go along with what you choose to do. Jen tends to forget her own opinions to please other people, and keep the peace. Because she usually has other people deciding for her, when a decision needs to be made, she becomes very indecisive. Although Jen isn't stupid, she certainly isn't making A's. She just finds school monotonous. And when will she ever need to know that when plants use sunlight to produce food it's called photosynthesis? Yeah, never. So instead of 'going to class' and 'taking tests' she'd toss her assignments and go to the small forest between her house and the school, to listen to music and smoke cigarettes. Oh, she loves cigarettes. Her parents were nonsmokers, but her older brother didn't mind letting her bum a few, as long as she paid. Some people thought of this as something only a bad kid would do, but if Jen enjoyed it, didn't she deserve happiness? She also went through a 'rebellious' phase, like most teenagers, but hers was very, very short. Being high maintenance was too much work for her. But during that time, she got her tongue pierced. Although done out of spite, Jen absolutely adores it.

Starter: Aaron the Abra

Good. I like it. Kinda goth chick. You're Accepted. And I take it that Shadow Ball's the only move she'll have him use? Sorry, just had to say that. No offence.

Haha, now that I look back at her, she kinda is. But she's nice, I swear (: And an balanced move set is the difference between Champion and just another Pokemon Trainer d:

Whoa! We should probably keep OOC comment in this thread :nervous:

Also, I'm confused as to what we're doing… I understand the prompt, but I don't know how to jump in :\

Just...run to Oreburgh Gate, watch someone else beat the bad guys and get the heck outa there.

Name: Piper May Sinclaire

Age: 13

Gender:

History: Growing up in a mansion isn't all it is cut out to be! Piper was expected to be the perfect little princess. Her mother would have her dress in frilly dresses and learn the basics of adequacy. Sit up straight, No elbows on the table, Finish all that is on your plate, Dab that mashed potato off of your cheek, Where are your manners young lady? The other little ladies at her Private school would gossip about how rich they were and where they planned to be vacationing. She wondered if the life of wealth was right for her.

She'd come home and place her school bag upon her bed. Staring out the window, she sighed. The children below her were playing in their rags and filth. She actually wanted that. Before bed that night, Piper was brushing her beloved hair, as usual, when she'd heard bickering down in the corridor. Curious, the girl sneaked out to witness the display.

"Charles, how could you do this to me? To our precious daughter?"

"You are always too enveloped in your female meetings, Susan, I needed something more." Piper's father exclaimed with definiteness.

Piper never realized what had gone on, all she knew was that now her mother lived elsewhere. This new lady had moved in, she stunk of cheap perfume and always nagged about Piper. Naturally, she grew to despise the new woman, she was stealing away her daddy's love and attention! Finally, the strange, new woman was to now be called "Mommy", Piper would not do it,. Afterwards, in an effort to rid herself of the young girl, Piper was blamed of stealing the new wife's priceless gems, and was sent away to live with her mother.

There, Piper got to live the life of freedom. She begged and pleaded for her mother to allow her to venture out and explore the new areas. With much caution and troubles, it took a tremendous amount of sucking up and persuading, but finally her mother realized that Piper needed to grow up and see the world. This is how Piper suddenly entered the world of Pokemon...

Though she was granted her freedoms, Piper was still expected to meet with both her parents, and the witch, at church every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. While slipping on her shoes, she heard the house phone go off. She waited a few rings, to see if her mother would get it. Ring... Ring... Sighing out loudly, Piper rushed into the den and cradled it before clutching it lightly to her ear.

"Meet me by the forest on the edge of town at dusk. Don't be late." Click... Beep... Beep... Beep...

Confused, she lightly places the phone back on the hook. Butterflies replace her gurgling tummy and a twinge of excitement bursted within. She felt so bad, knowing mother would tan her hide raw if she didn't tell her of the phone call, and so she expected to do so after church. Unfortunately, though, she had become distracted in play. She was now surrounded by children who didn't care about material values, and was overjoyed that mother had allowed her to be out until the street lights came on.

A chill of fright consumed her, "Woah, what time is it?" she squeeled before kicking off of the road in a hasty attempt towards the forest. Somehow, she managed to arrive on time. Sticky and panting, she falls to her knees - being sure that her dress stay down, before jolting up at the familiar tone.
"Welcome...to the world of Pokemon."

"Poké- Ahh!" She utters then screams, startled by the touch, Piper's tiny body is thrusted forward inside of the forest. When she finally emerges, her eyes drink in a sight of unfamiliarity. They dart about the new terrain until reaching a sign Eterna Forest<Route 205>. "Hey... This isn't where I came from... What is going on?"

Her mind begins to spin... No, wait, it's not her mind. She realizes that she's up in the air, and that the world beneath her is darting by at a high velocity. Her feet touch back down on the ground, she stumbles lightly, but regains her composure. Shady Dale's Home for the Elderly: Jubilife Location thinking that maybe an adult can help her find out where she is, Piper enters the building. Press every button, then 5 again. "Ok..." she ponders to herself "That's not too hard." Complying, she plummets downwards, screeching violently.

Holding in tears but not being able to contain her shaking hands, she witnesses a group of others. Wanting to greet them all, filled with perplexion, she is abruptly ceased...

"We have called you here because you are needed. For a mission." says someone, Piper was too small to peek over the heads of the other people to see them. "There is a region to the south, the Manmei region. We want you, for your skills, to go to the region to help gather information on anything that you can find."

'Mother most definately will not approve of this.' Piper thought and clutched tightly to the basket given to her, once filled with food for the evening.

"Where are we?" A voice chimes out, seeming to expect a direct answer. She wanted one as well, for mother would surely send out a search team.

Suddenly, Piper felt sick and alone. She shuddered lightly and thought about how much trouble she'd be in... If found alive. Her thoughts were interrupted once more, though, as the mysterious person replied with, in a booming voice of sure announcement, "Welcome to the World of Pokémon."

Looks & Clothing: Though she's young, Piper's profile is what most adults exclaim to be adorable. With sorrowful, cat-like jade green eyes, she has become knowledgeable as to what she needs to do to get what she wants.

Thick pink hair frames her small, oval shaped, lightly tanned face. It branches out off of her head, parted down the side, into two puffy pig-tails. A small doll-like, white dress covers her underdeveloped figure, it is pink stitched and contains a tiny pocket towards the base. Pink shiny doll shoes rest on white frilled socks that stop at Piper's ankles.

She holds a smitten grin to match her enticing optics. 4'9" and 89lbs, this little girl could easily be swept off of her feet by the smallest blast of Gust. Standing straight with exquisite posture, it is clear that Piper grew up in a rich, elegant house-hold. She carries her Pokeballs in a small, white woven basket which she refuses to leave eye-shot.

Personality: Being as cutesy as she is, Piper is mischievous when it comes to getting exactly what she desires. With a slight tilt of the head and damping of the eyes, she expects for her charm to win over the hearts of others. Unlike other cocky children, when Piper fails to get what she wishes, she does not cry. Oh no, she will persist, even if it means trying her hand at deceit. She's friendly, easily approachable but choses her friends wisely. Generally, she does not enjoy company of her own age, but prefers those who are much, much older and more mature.

She doesn't take to female company as well as she does male. Though, when encountered by a lady, she plays the charm card all the same. With a polite approach, she chimes in what she believes needs to be said, and takes on a very bold persona. Piper enjoys being the center of attention, Pokemon are no exception. She strives to be adored by her "pets" and will do anything to fulfill that yern. Piper does not fear to engage in Pokemon Battles, and will if she feels threatened.

All in all, this little girl is loving and sweet... When she's not crossed.

Starter: Buneary
Nickname: Snivel
Moves: Foresight, Drain Punch, Dizzy Punch, Pound
Unique features about your starter: Her ears, instead of perking upwards, droop down much like a Lopunny. This does not hinder the Pokémon's hearing, but does cause her to occasionally trip. She tends to ride along in Piper's arms or basket to prevent this.

(Lol, I hope I get accepted... I'm nervous 0.0)
