    Welcome,Challengers!(And People who are curious)To the Character-Based Challenge!




    This challenge is basicly a Character-Based Challenge.Meaning..Pick a Manga/Anime Character and base your team off of them!



    Example: (My Form)


    Game:HeartGold
    Avatar Name:Blue
    Username:Manga
    Character:Blue
    Pokemon:Wigglytuff,Ditto,Blastoise,Clefable,Granbull,Nidoqueen.
    Other Info(Where you are gonna get your Pokemon) : I will get the eggs from my Diamond and then trade them to my HeartGold.





    ~Rules~


    1)NO HACKS!
    2)No Using Action Replay for leveling up.The only code allowed is Egg Hatching.
    3)No Legendaries.(Ex.Blue has the 3 Legendary Birds.NO BIRDIES on team.)
    4)No cheating.Meaning..Don't lie and do the challenge and fake what you're doing.(Ex. Username does the challenge.Username decides to lie and pretend that he did new game so he could become a winner.





    The Clause Effects:


    Ash-Only select ONE of his teams from a region.Meaning..No mixing and matching to create a Powerhouse one.

    Crystal-She has captured practically every pokemon.Only use the ones SHE has.

    Emerald-Emerald has used MANY pokemon.If you're gonna use his team,Then either use the ones he used from each Frontier or his current time.

    OK then. Well, I started the game, so I'll post my first progress then.
    I picked Treecko as my starter, so May would have Torchic, like in the anime.
    Defeated May.
    Got the pokedex.
    Got the requested eggs from my friend's game.
    Ran around for a while to hatch at least one egg, got Caterpie.
    Hatched Roselia soon after.
    Eventually hatched the other 2 while training.
    On my way to Petalburg now.

    Second update.
    Got to Petalburg
    "Helped" Wally get a Ralts.
    Fought the trainers outside Petalburg and inside the woods.
    Helped that guy in the woods fight team aqua.
    Reached Rustboro and instantly fought Roxanne.
    Easily won using a level 12 Roselia with Absorb.
    Started training Metapod for next gym.
    Saved Peeko and stopped Team Aqua.
    Metapod evolved.
    Got the PokeNav.
    Beat May using Butterfree and Absol.
    Went on that old guy's boat to Dewford.
    Changed what's hip to something funnier.
    Fought all the trainers in the gym.
    Destroyed Brawly using Butterfree's Confusion and Sleep/Poison Powder.
    Started to train Trapinch for next gym. (Trapinch has 6 speed, its a brave nature too...)
    Heading off to that cave in Dewford to give Steven the Letter.

    UPDATE:
    Just a short status update.
    Grinded in the cave in dewford to get Trapinch o learn sand tomb before mauville.
    Gave Steven the letter.
    Went back to Rustboro to get Exp Share.
    Went to Slateport and fought most the trainers.
    Stopped Team Aqua.
    Fought May, lost twice to her Combustion (Kept using ember on butterfree, the only poke I have with a super effective against Combustion.)
    Went along the path to Mauville.
    Got the rock smash HM and TM 45 from verdenturf.
    Fought all the trainers along the route.
    Caught the first pokemon I saw because I wanted something in the daycare (oddish.)
    Grinded Trapinch to level 25, learned sand tomb.
    Attempted to fight Wattson, lost from Manetric using Howl + Quick Attack.
    Grinded even more.
    Fought Wattson again, remembering to use sand attack, Manetric never got a hit on me this time around.

    Question: Can I evolve my Electabuzz even though Paul hasn't (but really should) yet?

    I might try Professor Oak, but I don't know which game to choose. I don't want to lose my diamond stuff, but I could trade it all to soulsilver. Any tips with this?

    • I've been slowly progressing through Ruby (seriously, I spent too much time on SS >.< ) and am around the end of Petalburg Forest with:

    Mudkip ♂ - Zuzu
    Poochyena ♀ - Nana
    Ralts ♀ - Ruru

    You may notice that I am also matching genders to Ruby's Pokémon - all his are female apart from Zuzu, which led to an hour of searching for a female Poochyena, but surprisingly, I encountered a female Ralts on the route BEFORE I would have expected to find Ralts. o.O
