That technically doesn't defeat the reason, as Africa is a Continent with very severe poor people, and that there are many deserts. Even if a person from Africa was rich, they are likely not to know about Computers at all, so I don't think you would have Electrical Wires hanging around in mid-air and there actually wouldn't really be any sockets anywhere. I know there are also Laptops, but that needs energy too, so that will work for a short time.
