Earlier today (not meaning October 178, 2009), I was playing Pokémon Platinum on my quest to complete the National Pokédex. I was breeding at the time.

So I look down at my touch screen. I see a black speck on it.

    Skype Conversation:

It's still moving. It looks like a midget inchworm.... Comments/Recommendations on ways to get it out would be appreciated.

While its my tenant, it might as well have a name. Any name suggestions for my little speck friend?

Aw a similar thing happened with my GBA, except it was an orange little crawly thingy.

I thought at first that I was imaging it. So I pressed down on the screen and I killed it and now I have a dead orange bug in my GBA screen. ^3^

You should call him 'Lance Duser'. xD Cookie for the person who gets this reference.

As for getting him out, I don't know. I just took a look at my DS and I don't see any way of removing the lower screen without breaking it. I guess, if it's really bothering you, you could send it to Nintendo and see what they can do about it. :\

I have a bug under the screen on my laptop :D

It crawled under and died - now I have a big black spot on my screen. I call him Herbert.

Aw, Nintendo manufactures friends now too? :D
No wonder the DS sells so much.

It's a shame my DS didn't come with this.

Oh, don't worry. That's just a small camera that the Party put in your DS to make sure you aren't doing anything Big Brother wouldn't want you to do. :D

    It's a dust mite.

There was a lengthy discussion of it on Yahoo Chiebukuro (the Japanese equivalent of Yahoo Answers) 5 years ago regarding this, and I read that it's common in handheld electronic devices, because:

    1. Tons of dead skin cells from extensive handling.
    2. Is warm.

Huh, that's new, but I suppose it makes sense with Kohei's information. I'd call it Clyde, or maybe Jimmy the Terrible so long as it stays.

Eew, Im creeped out by the orange thing, black thing and Herbert. :/

I'm fairly sure Herbert isn't a dust mite. He's much too big (maybe four or five millimetres)

    I like Clyde XD

I haven't seen my lil' friend lately though :( he disappeared. I'm going to assume the worst for little Clyde :(

    R.I.P. Random Critter.

lol thats freaky i dont know how to take it out sorry ^^; but it might be fun?a little friend of your own!:) i wish i had one :P ill name mine specky!:P
