OOC: Good thing it didn't--one of my characters is about to rejoin the group. Gosh, my characters are split up all over the place now... all five of them.

--Above the forest--
Eve kept on singing, louder and louder and sadder and sadder as she too began to feel weaker. It was as if she was calling to her soul for salvation while she was slipping into a deathlike state. (Or at least a state of unconsciousness, because since Eve is a ghost, she's already "dead".)
Samara was smiling evilly when the song started, and she continued to do so as the song continued, and Eve's silhouette grew darker against the sunset. Over time her smile turned flat and then upside-down, and every inch of cloth on her began to droop. Any second now, she felt like she could just float down to the ground like a feather, landing tangled up in the tree branches below. Energy was draining out of her to some unknown place, and her feelings emptied of any sort of emotion, at least happy emotions.
As the song continued, Tiffany tried her best to ignore it and keep an eye on Casi and Bunch. However, the song was so compelling, so melancholy... Tiffany kept shifting her attention between the Rockets and Eve, and she even loosened her grip on Happy a little.
"Whoa!" Tiffany's mind jolted back to reality as she grasped Happy tighter, especially around the head. She looked down at Phoebe's Houndoom, thinking briefly how Phoebe was doing at this time. As she did, she noticed that the forest seemed to be growing larger... Actually, she was having a harder and harder time keeping herself in the air and was gradually sinking back down towards the forest.
<"Uh... Tiffany?"> Happy asked nervously as she looked down at the trees. <"What's going on? Why is everyone getting weaker? I don't feel any change... Tiffany! We're almost at the trees! There's only... twenty feet or so to go before we crash? Tiffany! We're falling faster! We're falling... TIFFANY!">
"I know, Happy, I'm... trying..." Tiffany spoke in as loud a voice as possible. She started to flap her wings harder. She felt as if Happy had quadrupled in weight.
Just then, Tiffany was blasted with some strange beam of pink light. Before she knew it, she was glowng pink.
"Oh darn, I hate... pink..." Tiffany flailed about out of frustration. As she did, she saw Bunch return Casi to her Pokeball and fly off on his Pidgeot.
"Here, you didn't hear the song!" Tiffany shouted as she threw Happy at the Pidgeot. The startled Houndoom flew through the air, wind rushing past her newly opened ears. By that time the song had finished, and Eve and Samara were nowhere to be seen.
Soon Happy realized where she was. She was too panic-stricken to cry out--she was about to plummet toward the trees below (ouch, that must hurt)! Out of desperation, she searched around for anything that would save her from this fall... And then she saw a giant clawed foot in front of her. Without thinking much about it, Happy clamped her jaws around one of the toes and hung there. A squawk of pain could be heard above.
"Pidgeo?!!"
Meanwhile, a blinding flash of pink light engulfed Tiffany. Tiffany was in a daze--she felt like she was an ice cube inside a glass of pink lemonade. Around her, she thought she could make out pictures in the air--stars or chicks or little pink bunny heads... Tiffany tried to close her eyes out of disgust, but she found herself unable to for some reason. The pinkness continued, swirling and swirling like some crazy cotton candy machine, till Tiffany knew no more of it.
--In the forest--
It was dark and dismal in the trees below. A breeze blew through the boughs--but it was far from gentle. With each gust, the leaved branches rattled, as if they were living beings on the verge of their very last breath. Such breaths blew all around one such patch of branches, where two figures lay, draped haphazardly over the tree limbs. One looked sort of human, a very thin woman with a ragged dark blue dress and a large pointed hat, and hints of faded crimson gems glistened bleakly around her. The other looked like a plush toy with the stuffing pulled out, with blank red eyes and a zippered mouth. Here the two figures drooped, and anyone who could see them would not have been able to tell that seconds ago they had been out and about and very much lively...
--Cherrygrove City--
As the sky darkened and a blinding flash of pink light surrounded Tiffany, Phoebe decided that she would see no more of this chaos. The last thing she could glimpse was a giant bird with a figure above it and something dog-shaped dangling from it, before she turned around and galloped back into the forest. At this point Cherrygrove City was much more scary than any nightfallen forest.
As Phoebe ran on, she occasionally wondered what was happening to Happy, and Eve and Tiffany and Samara as well. But she already had many feelings of despair swimming about her mind, so she couldn't allow any more to splash around like the dancing devils they were.
When her mind was a bit clearer (though not by much), Phoebe could hear a voice or two in the distance. She also saw light up ahead--it appeared to have been coming from a fire. When she saw this, she stopped running and started to walk towards the light, keeping a close eye out for anyone that might be in Team Rocket.
The first thing Phoebe spotted was a Quilava hybrid adding more wood to the fire, and an Espeon sitting beside him.
Wait, a minute... he looks familiar... Phoebe recognised. I thought I saw him back in Professor Elm's lab...
Phoebe also saw a group of people and/or Pokemon sleeping, a few tents, and even one or two more hybrids. There was one other person who was awake and looked quite troubled.
Phoebe finally reached the edge of the clearing where everyone slept. Cautiously, she walked out into the open, trying to appear as harmless as possible. Her worst fear was that someone would scream at the sight of her and wake everyone up. Slowly, Phoebe walked over to Avi and Yoshi, trying to keep the sound of her hooves touching the ground to a minimum.
--EDIT--
Fortunately, nobody saw Phoebe while she was still asleep, even if the morning had arrived. The night before, Phoebe had decided to keep away from everyone and sleep behind a tree, for she had had enough excitement that night already. But now, some strange spark of courage ignited inside of her, so she walked over to where some of the group was waking up.
"Uh... hello?" she announced.

OOC: Arrgh, when I first started my reply, it was still nighttime. So therefore, all of my post, except the last paragraph, still takes place the night before.
