I haven't finished my Christmas shopping and I haven't put up my tree yet. I'm failing slightly. However I am in the Christmassy mood. d(' 'd)

Traditions and routines make me panic
 
I took the christmas tree through today... It's been living in my bedroom, fully decorated, for over a year. .3.

My mother decided to be Jehova's Witness last year, so I wasn't allowed to put it up in the living room. And.. then I'm just lazy.
 
I'd love to have a Christmas tree in my bedroom. It'd be sweet and I'd be in the mood for Christmas all the time. XD
 
I have a mini Christmas tree in my bedroom. It's quite awesome.

I'm not feeling it either to be honest.... It's just breezing by.

I know what you mean, Kishoku. I don't feel very christmas-y myself, and other than the fairground in town and the Christmas movies on TV, there's little to prove that the big day is coming up. I don't think I'm going to do much. Just.. Chill. And help eat the 4 kilo turkey my brilliant mother ordered.
I feel kind of ill knowing that the thing's not dead yet.
 
Your mum ordered an alive turkey? A 4 kilo one? Have fun with that. o_0
 
XD; They're going to kill it before it's delivered. It's a free range one from a local farm, she doesn't like the whole factory farming idea, and I have to agree. Keeping a turkey locked up in the dark until it's old enough to be eaten is just plain cruel. At least we know that the bird's had a decent life.

My mother put up the Christmas tree a couple nights ago. It looks alright, but the cat is constantly toying with the lower-placed decorations. I think she's broken three now? Whatever, we've got loads.

And turkeys never have a good life. They're chopped up and eaten. That's a great life.

Don't spoil my false ideas of a Turkey haven.


...But, I mean, like. It gets to live. Rather than just being locked in one space. I've been to this farm, they get to run around free. It's not a bad life, even if they die in the end.
 
Sure... it's great running around and stuff only to get your head chopped off. How would you like to be raised up just to be eaten? I wouldn't like it... I know.
 
;_; I didn't order the turkey, but... If something wasn't made to be eaten, why would it be so delicious?
 
'cause our taste buds adjusted to it. It's all part of the evil plan of... *thinks up a random corporation* Eating meat-a thon.
 
O: Maybe we should start a resistance. The league of the valiant carrot or something. Down with.. What was it? Eating Meat-a thon..?

I tried being vegetarian once. I did it for about a year, before I finally caved and ate some mince and tatties. God, I love that dish.
 
While I disagree with it... Meat is too nice to give up.

That's technically not true. I for one, would hate being a 500 year old man.
