It goes primary (grades 1-7) then high school (8-12). For most of Australia that is.

Middle school seems a little...pointless to me. ^^;
 
Mine wasn't like that. D:

Primary; Kindergarten - Year 6

High School; Year 7 - Year 10

College; Year 11 & 12

Then Uni and whatever after.

That's different~ I guess they tried to simplify things where I lived. |3 Although I didn't go to kindergarten so I started in grade 1 til 7. Uni/college starts after grade 12 for me though.
 
Kindergarten's awesome though!

I never went to Pre-school, I heard I missed some pretty awesome stuff there. :\

And yeah.. I don't get why they put 11 and 12 as college, it was funny back when I was 15/16 and I was like, "I'M IN COLLEGE!" And people were like, "No way. :o"
 
What's the difference between pre-school and kindergarten? Although maybe the reason I don't know that might be because I didn't go to either of them. >D

My high school was called a "college" but we all knew who was what and who wasn't. :P
 
I think pre-school is like.. Somewhat of a daycare but educational wise I guess, and kindergarten is probably when they start teaching you more, I wouldn't really know. XD;;

I think ours is an actually college, since you can apply for Uni after, if you're good enough that is. D:
 
Where I am in the UK, we finish at 16. Primary School for 3 - 12 years old, High School for 12 - 16 (I get my GCSE results back today after I finished High School =X) and then College/6th Form from 16 - 18, then Uni and stuffs after that.
 
Whoa, you go to school when you're 3 years old? o.O

And 16 is when you can quit school here too, but it's not recommended, unless you have a job. If not, you're pretty much screwed for life. :3
 
Sorry for butting in but,i wanted to point out the things, in which related to the steps in education are you people currently talking about.
You see Pre-school readys you for kindergarten.Kindergarten readys you for elementary.Elementary readys you for High school(middle school i think).High school readys you for college.College readys you for the world.
Thats about it i think...
(How is middle school related to singing?May i ask?)

Singling is what we said. You know, when you focus or pick on one person, or in this case, whatever year group Middle School is.

Not singing. ._.
 
It's not particularly a good word, unless you're the reserved, introvert and maybe emo type of person. xP
