Anyone know anything about president Harding that I could use for tomorrows oral presentation? XD;

... it sucks how we have to do that on an American president and not an Aussie one.

Dude, I have heard about him. Don't know much about him. Google is our best friend. Google it and you will find a lot of inf. you need. I have searched wiki and got it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_G._Harding

Hope that's useful.

Yeaaaah uh... Wikipedia is the FIRST place I went. XD;

Try and find a site dedicated to Presidents?

That's not really helpful.

More like... I kinda have the info, just too lazy to do it? D:

The internet isn't a very good source, if you don't know what you're doing. Wiki isn't a valid source either. D:

It's best you stick to that egg'd library at your school, Nica. XD;

Oh, yeah I have that problem right now! Being lazy For The Win <)?

wiki can be a good source, as long as the topic is large, seriously, any edits made are reverted if they're speculative or not verifiable XD

Nah, Wiki is no good... I mean, it is... as long as I can compare it with other info.

When I did projects and assignments in school, I always used wiki as my starting point. It's a great resource. You couldn't use it as a source in your work at school, but it's a good place to get background information so you know all the basics. From there you can build an outline of what you need from other sources and then it's easier to find books, magazines, or more "respectable" sites to help you out.

It would be so much faster if schools would just let you quote wiki and be done with it but... oh well. XD

When I did coursework for history… I always used the net. Although at the time I never heard of wikipedia. So… I used google and I'm pretty sure wikipedia wasn't the first link provided. xD

I always use wikipedia for ideas for my homework, I always get top grades :P.

yeah, it's still an acceptable source here at campus, unless it's a very big project, then we need other kinds of sources

Yes wikipedia is the master source of knowlege, it will just keep on growing and its a shame for those who are older and didn't use it when they were set up with important coursework etc.

That's where the citations come in handy. If you need to confirm information in a Wiki article, just scroll down to the bottom and click the links given. Most articles do have them.

It's just that people tend to take the Wiki article at face value without corroborating the information given in the article with other sources. Again, that's why they have citations; you're supposed to check them to see if the Wiki article really is accurate.

I got introuble at school if I used Wiki as a source. ._. Since all the information is from other people and it can be changed by anyone, our school didn't use it as a valid source of information and we weren't allowed to use Wiki. :\

Sometimes it surprises me that they haven't blocked Wiki, unlike Youtube, Myspace etc social interaction sites. (But not PC... yet! :D)
