Exactly :| And even if they WERE going to try and control their lives, why not just go all strict and be like "You can't see him anymore" or something D:

And just building on what Erica said; even if all of those shows WERE unscripted and those situations were real, people still would act differently when they're being filmed then they do just by themselves. They obviously WANT to be famous, so they're going to try and seem as interesting as possible.
 
Wehave no idea if reality TV is completely scripted or not, but just think about your life. Would it be interesting enough to film and put on TV? Would millions of people tune in every day to see what you and the people around you are up to? Probably not. That's why I can't help but feel that reality TV just isn't that real. Sure, most reality shows that follow people explicitly are centred around celebs, but my point still stands--most "typical" people (the ones they supposedly pick out for reality TV) aren't interesting enough to merit being filmed. Actors, on the other hand...

Then again, I don't even watch reality TV. 8/ I either find it uninteresting or risque/shocking just for the hell of it. I prefer my obviously scripted shows thank you very much. D: (Resultantly I have no clue what you guys are talking about so I'll just bow out of the conversation here. XD)

Personally, I like scripted TV better because sometimes it sounds realistic and all, but without the lesser human qualities (stupid things said or done beyond the point of comedy, people laughing for a minute at something that isn't funny, uh, like, and whatever).
 
I just like scripted TV because they're not trying to pass it off as reality television. :x I'm also tired of all the "twists" reality television is trying to give you. Does anyone else find that it's starting to get more and more predictable these days? Everything's being recycled.
 
Yeah... Most soap Operas use the same tactics over and over again... Think about it for a while... bang! You've got the plot of the story covered just from assuming what'll happen...
 
Ugh, I haven't watched TV in a while, because of all these shows. They don't appeal to me. D;

I like watching America's Next Top Model though, lol
 
Eh, I hate the show too.

It took over Simpsons.. So I hate it more. >:[

Rove is okay.. But I'll watch it if I have nothing else to do.

And yes, they're Australian shows. XD;

How do you watch Australian shows in the U.S?
You should be watching Heroes, House, and all of our other cool American shows!
 
I don't live in the U.S, I live in Australia. XDD;

But, we do have all those too. I use to watch House a lot, stopped for some reason. D:

maybe because I was always too occupied with the internet
 
:D Yeah Australian shows :P I think I like Australian comedy shows more than American ones..

Hmm.. Main TV shows I watch are:

Neighbours
Rove
NCIS :D
House
Taken Out


I dont watch every episode of these per`se (XD I just HAD to use that word), but I do watch them randomly :D

Personally... Heroes is kinda kiddy-ish for me... I dont really like these action movies with super powers... Unless its in a dark cinema and i've got someone to hug :D
