Most people lose it because they feel the need to have a girlfriend/boyfriend because they either want to feel loved and/or because their mates have one.

The sad thing is that most people go by looks more than personality, now.

Edit; @Tsukasa-sama; Aren't you married?

And also, I know from personal experience that I would rather feel bad for a period of time, and end up with the perfect person for me than to rush it and get into a quick relationship that will more than likely end before it even starts.

Patience is a virtue.

Bolded Text 'Tis true. Although I hope to never be like that. I don't want to feel loved by others (besides family) just because my friends are loved.

Italicized Text Whoo, yeah. Main reason why no one's ever asked me out >.> Which I don't mind, actually, seeing how a lot of my friends irl were guys :3 I consider them more as friends, and I'm am pretty much bi, so... XD

@Kishoku I am, but we broke up. So for people like me, it hurts.

I'm sorry to hear that. D:

You can only move on, I suppose? :3

@Derk; If it's something else like school work, finishing something off or making a banner or something, then it's not so bad. Rushing those things isn't as bad as rushing a relationship.. that just never works.

I hate that whole "looks before personality" thing. It's so utterly stupid. It's like boyfriends/girfriends are more for an image instead of an actual mutual emotion feeling between two people. Many of my friends don't go out with a really sweet guy just because he's not the hottest person on earth. Even though a hot guy is a plus!

Aw, I'm sorry D= Unfortunately, I can't share much sympathy with you since as I pretty much stated, I've never gone out with anyone in my life.

But thankfully, even if someone were to break up with another, they most likely have great friends that would support them all throughout their state of depression, or whatever state they might be in.

That's why I value friends over a relationship. They're people you can go to if you have some sort of problem (though in some cases, it depends on the gender, age, maturity, etc. of the friend), and they would also support you if you're suffering from anything. Everyone should have a friend, even the people one might thing is undeserving of one :3

While I solely admit that I've gone out with girls because of their looks before, I still took their personality into account. Funny thing is that those relationships ended before they even begun.

And also, looks will still always, no matter what peole say, they will always play a part in a relationship. No one would go out with someone they find utterly ugly. Even if it's only a small part, they still play a part in a relationship.

Well, I guess you didn't expect my mom (and stepdad, for that matter) to be into it XD

One of the few American bands I actually don't mind listening to. Another couple of bands I don't mind listening to are Green Day ("American Idiot" and "Dookie" ftw :3), U2, The Cranberries, and the Corrs. Oh, and I love music from the 80s, too (Heart ftw :3).

Fortunately, I attend private school. And while plenty of the kids came from public school, I don't hear many of them talking about that kind of thing. Plus, our private school's philosophy is more "nature-ish" and one wouldn't be caught dead talking about "sex" or even "drugs" music.

A lot of adolescents seem to like "commercial" singers/bands too *mutter mutter HANNAH MONTANA and the JONAS BROTHERS mutter mutter*

That's why I like J-Pop and J-Rock. 'Course, it'd be nice if you could see a translation of what they were saying XD

I don't listen to much Japanese music. Although from what I've heard, it's pretty good stuff. I'll have to get some of that =D

American Idiot is Green Day's best song, imho. But Catch 22 is soooo better. :<

EDIT! My computer is a retard and screws up stuff with pages. Ioeven know. D:

But Catch 22 is STILL sooooo better. :<<<!!!

Like "Momma's Got a Squeezebox" is one, I think XD That was ZZTop that sang that, right? Or am I thinking of a different band?

But yeah, Japanese music is pretty good. I've found that a lot of people like Dir en Grey, and I think someone by the name of "Miyavi" or something similar is pretty good.

I also personally like Changin' My Life and Chihiro Yonekura (both I found out about through watching anime), but that's just me.

I also like Swedish bands, a.k.a. Basshunter and Smile D.K. (if you don't know who Smile D.K. is, I'm gonna bring the curse of the song they're famous for upon j00 D=<).
