I tend not to rant and rave about sexual orientation or anything else.

I just think nice people are awesome. :D

I actually know exactly how that feels. I got the "hate for being a wimp" from the boys when I was a boy and then "hate for not conforming to a social and fashion norm" from the girls when I started to transition. I never did anything to these people; you know? I kept my head down, immersed in my own little group of friends but that just seemed to offend them *more*.
I'd like to conclude by saying that 98% of school kids suck :(
 
the other two percent are the actual cool kids. They don't care who they hang out with and are honestly care for the people they hang out with
 
I'm not gay people just assume I am because most of my friends are girls.

I don't know why, but in our school, being gay means you're bullied. I feel really bad because I want to stand up for them but I'm just gonna be ridiculed for it. I did stop a full fledged fight at school though.
 
I just sort of feel sorry for gay people because they are always ridiculed and stuff just for being different. Also they are the subject of insults, because people always say "omFg YoUr sOooOo gEY". My gay neighbor is kind of a jerk but I like gay people if they are nice. Also I don't like it when people are really flamboyant and I don't like homosexual stereotypes like the gay lisp. It doesn't actually exist. :/
 
Gay is a random insult at my school, but being gay is ok with me. Whoever you love is your choice, man or woman.
 
The gay kids in my year weren't bullied- they were actually pretty popular. o: Though they were guys... If they were girls, and homosexual, I don't think they'd be treated the same.

Typically, gay women are treated better than gay men. But I s'pose that depends on the area and the people, but from what I've seen, it's generally true.
 
Really? From what I've experienced in my area (and even in my own home), gay men are treated better.

'Tis no fun for someone who is bi-curious. D;
 
Well the reason why being bi may be considered worse than being gay, is simply because a gay person has already made a decision based on gender, while someone that is bi, likes both, which could be less understandable for some. Add to that if the partner the bi person was with found out, and they would probably feel like they weren't worthwhile or something.

As for the gay people I knew, and know, no one really cares (boy or girl). Though the one's who are flamboyantly out, tend to get the brunt end of it. But I think that is only because those that are flamboyant about it, tend to annoy others. Best way to describe it is like someone holding a "I'm gay" sign in a person's face and repeating "I'm gay." over and over again. I mean, you can only pull that card so many times. Should that person get special attention? Not really... I mean sure it is okay to tell people your preference, but sometimes, some things have to stay in the bedroom. The same goes for straight people though too, last thing I want to hear is about a person's one night stand or some other needless information... It's like epeen...

Talking about lisps, I knew someone who had the stereotypical gay lisp, but I'd say I was 70% sure he wasn't gay. Then again he was pretty out there...
