    I'm hoping this is the right place for these pieces of news...

    1. Pokémon X and Y have finally received an Iwata Asks interview, detailing some of Game Freak's thought processes behind certain features and areas of the games. Don't quote me on this, but I think this one is one of the first ones that was released worldwide simultaneously, because IIRC the interviews usually take a while to be translated from the Japanese transcript, and I haven't seen any mention of the Iwata Asks Japanese transcript for X and Y.

    2. The NHK World show Imagine-Nation is going to air a documentary that focuses on the developmental aspects of Pokémon X and Y. The episode in question is also apparently re-airing at certain times throughout the day. On October 15th, 2013, the episode airs at 11:30 AM EDT, 3:30 PM EDT, 7:30 PM EDT, and 11:30 PM EDT, and viewers worldwide can also catch the initial airing and reruns on NHK World TV's online stream (a retransmission of the broadcasts; you might want to tune in a bit early because I'm not sure about the duration of the signal delays, if any exist).

    My comments regarding the Iwata Asks interview:
    The interview was quite interesting, although it sucks that it's shorter than the interviews for HeartGold/SoulSilver, Black/White, and Black 2/White 2 (although maybe the videos are supposed to make up for that...?). :( I found it interesting/amusing that Game Freak actually bothered to work on that animation where if your eyes are closed when looking at a Pokemon in Pokemon-amie, the Pokemon's eyes will close as well, but you (likely) won't be able to tell by yourself - someone near you will have to observe it. {XD}
    I'm glad that one of the interviewees actually referenced the X-axis and Y-axis (which, very recently, I found out that they are also strangely referred to as the ordinate and abscissa, respectively o_O) in regards to the concepts inspiring the "XY" theme, although I wish that they had also mentioned the genetics theme that could potentially be tied in.
    I also first realized (strangely) today that when naming Pokemon, Game Freak and the localizers also have to pay attention to not infringing on any terms with each name used worldwide. It's interesting that they wanted more Pokemon to sport the same name worldwide, though; usually, that seemed to be something that was done mainly for legendary Pokemon and the like (aside from the 1-2 'common' Pokemon that happen to keep their original names each generation, like Pachirisu and Munna/Musharna).

    My comments regarding Imagine-Nation documentary
    :
    Super-excited for this... ^^ Nice find! My PBS affiliate has MHz Worldview streaming on one of the sub-channels, so I'm somewhat familiar with NHK World. Never thought that I would see them linked to the Pokémon series (or mentioned on Bulbanews, even) anytime soon, though. XD I guess it was only a matter of time!

    Originally, I was stoked because I thought I would be able to catch this episode actually airing on TV, but apparently Imagine-Nation isn't shown at all on the MHz feed, which is kind of a bummer. :( But since NHK World TV has an online stream, I'm hoping that I can watch it there. :D Would've loved for the episode to be 1 hour; didn't know that Imagine-Nation was a 30-minute show (and my interest in Imagine-Nation is increased now that I know they cover Japanese pop culture media like videogames and anime! And here I thought it was just some show with a punny name...!). In any case, I'm hoping some all-new tidbits are revealed aside from what's been unveiled in CoroCoro magazine, Iwata Asks interviews, etc. regarding the development process. :)

    So, what are your thoughts on the development of Pokemon X and Y? Did anything in particular strike you in the aforementioned Iwata Asks (in Motion) interview? Are you excited for the Imagine-Nation documentary covering XY?
