OOC: Who's aura attack? Why is it I can never destroy anything?

BIC: Nat smiled. "We won," she whipsered before blacking out from the stabbing pains in her chest.

Cal rushed to her. "SOMEONE GET AN AMBULANCE!" he screamed at the two boys.

OOC: Don't you remember? The infection grants the dragons new aura powers. I just figured that was your aura attack. But if it's not, it still has to go in one of the catagorys of : [SPOILER"Click here if ya want spoilers!!XD"]Breath, general attack, and ultimate attack.[/SPOILER]

IC: I quickly rushed to a phone, and after dialing, an ambulance came right away, and inside were the few doctors that didn't flee from the city. Carring Nat into the ambulance on a stretcher, I whispered, "Please be alright..", as the ambulance drove away, and then, I began to folllow it..

Nat awoke to find herself in great pain. SHe saw her bloodied white dress had been cast aside, and she was now dressed in one of those hospital gowns that tied in the back.

She took a peek underneath the covers to see bloodied bandages wrapping her entire chest.

SHe looked at the nearby clock, only to find that it was 4 hours since the attack.

Looking to the bottom of her bed, she found a sheet that listed the medications she was to be taking for the 1st days after her surjery.

SURJERY!? Nat's mindvoice screamed.

Natalie, you're awake! Cal yelled in joy. Thank the Lord! I thought I'd lost you...

"What happened?" Nat asked aloud.

"You were rushed to a hospital." I said quietly, sitting on a chair near Nat. Looking at her, I asked softly, "Hey, do you feel okay??".

I wanted to be there for Nat, but they refused to let me go anywhere as long as I had some broken bones. They put my arm in a sling and my leg in a cast. i never imagined setting bones would be so painful. When finally the doctors were satisfied, I managed to hobble my way down towards a specdial infirmary set aside for our dragons. Crimson was there, his wing in a splint. I lifted him up onto my good shoulder and useda crutch to find my way to Nat's room. I walked inside and was happy to see she was already awake. " Good to see you up." I said, shifting my weight so I was more comfortable with the crutch.

Nat was shocked to see Jack was on crutches. She tired to move her legs to give him room to sit, but she soon found that moving any part of her body caused a sharp pain to course through her chest area.

She cried out in pain for a moment, grimacing. "I'm fine," she said quietly to Matt.

She motioned to a chair next to her bed that she hadn't noticed was there before. "Sit down, Jack. You look as bad as I do."

I set my wrapped shoulder on my lap, and asked Nat, "Well, erm.. I didn't want to upset you, so..", and then, moving my chair a bit away, I set my head down on the arm, and fell asleep...

Nat smiled, which quickly turned to a grimace.

"It feels like my ribcage collapsed!" she burst out angrilly.

"It did," Cal said quietly.

Nat just looked at him. "Holy..." was all she could say.

She looked to where Matt had been sitting, only to find that he had scooted away from her. A twinge of guilt panged her soul, and she turned back to Jack.

OOC: I don't think it's possible for one to lay one's shoulder on thier lap.... XD

OOC: You know what I mean!!XD

IC: As I was asleep, ruby slithered from the doorway, covered with grape juice, and curling up next to my foot, he fell asleep...

Nat layed back as a doctor hurried into the room. Glancing at the two boys, she closed the curtain around Nat's bed.

The doctor removed Nat's bandages gently, revealing many bloody stitched areas. Nat grimaced to herself as the doctor put new bandages on.

Nat cried out, this was painful!

The doctor merely hushed her before tying off the bandages and removing the curtain baracade.

"Are you okay?" I asked after I heard her cry out, concern showing in my eyes.

"this is frustrating." Crimson said, the annoyed tone in his voice surprising me. " WE get trashed by a big bully, and there's probably stronger ones out there. WE need to do some training overtime when we get better or we'll never live through the next fight."

Nat managed a smile. "I'm fine. That doctor was just a bit rough is all..." she relented.

Cal voiced his opinion. "I agree! We really need to train!"

Nat looked the two of them over dubiously. "You know, I'd lvoe to train, IF I COULD STAND!" she said, a tone of anger shading her voice.

Cal looked quite ashamed of himself. "I'm sorry, love," he said quietly.

Nat was slightly suprised. He'd never used his pet name for her outside of mind speech before...

Nat frowned. "I'm afraid that's going to take longer than we've got," she said quietly, reaching out to Cal.

SHe pulled the small dragon in close, ignoring the pain she felt. "Don't worry about it, love," she said to Calamous. "You were only thinking of keeping me safe," she said.

"I'm starting to feel like teh whole world is against us." i sighed in frustration. " They keep overwhelming us. iving us zero time to recuperate before we face another onslaught. I wonder how they knew where we werw so fast. We've only been tamers for a few days."

"I've kind of been wondering about that myself..." Nat whispered, thinking to herself.

"You know, I'd wonder if they've got some sort of tapping device on us... you know... like how people can tap phones... maybe they can tap us..."

Cal scratched innocently, the worm inside him had wriggled in fear of being found out.

Nat pondered this. "Perhaps they needed something to infect us with... something that lives within us. Maybe they ahd to wait for the dragons to hatch because they didn't know who the tamers would be... Maybe the shells were protective..."

Cal agreed. "Dragon eggs are hard as dimonds, nothing can penetrate them. That's why many eggs are left to fend for themselves... dragons aren't normally the mothering type..."
