"The Electrike Company!" Episode Discussion

    Hey, you guyyyyys, here is where you can discuss Electrike training and Pokemon Training Centers in "The Electrike Company"!!

    My review to come forthwith.
     
    Teeheeheee Charaxes finally did one!! You haven't done one is a LOONNNNGGG TIME!!! Teeheehee

    Well I have to admitt. These fillars in DP are kinda much better then the regular fillars. I mean I really went into this episode not expecting much but really the story line for this episode was surprising. I mean we first get the return of the Magicarp sub and then Team Rocket spliting for a little bit. That was really intresting. Jessie was really good too. I have to say two thumbs up. Teeheehee
     
    Hands down another great filler episode heh. OMG I'm waiting for Ash or Brock to say Electrike is a Hoenn Pokemon! Lol that would make the episode for me. But Electrike was so cute and cool! Like my puppy heh ^^ expect with no electric moves haha. I was shocked that James and Meowth actually made Jessie cry and go off alone rofl. Then James helps the twerps beat jessie lol very nice twist, lol the look on Jessie's face! I had a feeling Electrike would evolve but that spoiled the episode title! I mean "Electrike Company" it would have better if they kept it a Electrike and getting threw that incident without evolving to break free. And I wish that Ash would mention all those shocks from Pikachu that's why electricity does'nt bother him that much XD.
     
    I really liked this episode. Its one of those episodes that show how much I love James and Meowth! My favourite characters. I felt sorry for them at the end when they had to blast off :( But I also felt sorry for Jessie. She's their friend too and they made her cry...but they should stand up to her more often, though. So its OK.
    I've been watching Master Quest recently and there really *is* a lot of difference between Johto and Sinnoh fillers IMO. A lot of Johto episodes are completly centred around what Team Rocket are planning and about how they mess something up. Although they still do this, they are much more minor now. But I don't think this is the best episode to bring it up on because this is an episode where they help the twerps.

    Route 2 BGM! Haven't heard that in soo long! And Route 3, but we heard that last episode. I suppose they're digging through the Kanto BGM *preys for Gym Theme* lol
    - LMAO at their motto! I love Meowth and James! I love how there's silence. They could VERY easily have messed the motto up by adding random 4Kids crap in the middle, but they didn't! Yay!
    - Manetric's voice is really weird lol
    - Love the Route music at the end!
    Edit: Forgot about the BGM when Pikachu and Pachirisu were training and when Electrike and Pikachu were trainging. I have never heard them before. But this was a 4Kids episode, so was it original? Oh, its PUSAs

    I loved this episode, mainly due to extreme Ash abuse and Meowth and James siding with the twerps (which is not often, but they do that at least). I hated Manectric's voice in the end though. It got on my nerves.

    I especially love these few lines...

    Ash: "SOMEBODY'S OUT TO GET MEEEE~!"

    James: *taunts* "You can't hit me!"
    Ash: "Joke all you want; I'm getting outta here!"

    Ash being a magnet for Electric attacks (except Pikachu's) was comic gold, especially since we haven't seen him getting shocked for quite a while now. XD

    To be fair, I did do "Secret Sphere of Influence," which wasn't that long ago. Until something breaks, I guess I'll be doing the discussions for now.

    Anyway, I went back to sleep after the first five minutes (not boredom, but was really tired), so I can't say much.

    I was kinda surprised by Jessie's willing to bide her time in their initial scene. Not out of character (Mantine Overboard), but a little amazing, considering how impulsive she usually is.

    The filler-character-of-the-day's rather long ponytail amused me, if only because I knew a late male teen with a similar ponytail. Hippies. Heh.

    Also, why couldn't Zoppi do a better disguising the voice of the character's superior? He more or less sounded like James. Oh, well, he's not going to be around again, so it doesn't much matter.

    I miss the Gyarados sub. Heh.

    I hope I don't jynx it but it seems like DP fillars are really much better compare fillars in the past.

    Right now, I kinda want to assert some semblance of authority. Otherwise, I'd say yes. Then again, you haven't done one in a long while. PM me and we'll talk about it.

    Serves me for going back to bed, for I always love seeing the head twerp fry. Heh. I say that, as it's payback for all those needless electroshocks on the Rockets. Yeah, I'm a sadist where he's concerned. Oh, I'm terrible. Heh.

    Well, I thought AG had decent filler, but you're right -- there is a higher quality to the D/P ones, and we best not "jynx" em. Heh.
     
    Didn't they have the Gyarados sub in Orange Islands? And one ep in Indigo League, 18th or 19th, can't remember. One with the crazy lady. I always thought it looked funny because it looks kinda squashed and it's tiny for a Gyarados XD

    Well, it also appeared in the Blastoise episode following the Blaine two-parter and one of the Seafoam Island ones. I'm trying to think where else it appeared.

    I was just missing it on general principle. Heh.
     
    I think the Gyarados sub was replaced before they left for the Orange Islands. Like right when the started the Orange Islands they started to use the Magikarp sub. I know that in Movie 2 they had the Magikarp sub.

    I loved the Gyarados sub because it was small. Teeheehee
     
    Jessie cryed this episode yeah! Mwahahah *Evil Laugh*. Sooo anyway I liked that James and Meowth helped the gang out this episode, to me this episode I hated Jessie for this episode for other episodes she's fine. This episode was a good episode I can't wait for the next episode next week.
     
    I didn't like this one. Aside from the voices of Electrike & Manectric (sounded like a deranged opera singer O_O), I really don't think we should be having an episode here revolving around a Hoenn Pokemon, and one that we've already had episodes for, no less (Mauville Gym battles come to mind). It's just so incredibly out of place. Even the whole idea of using Pokemon to power some sort of machine...is covered in every region, and that's more than enough. Kanto had the "Pika power" in the second episode among others, Johto had the lighthouse, and Hoenn got Mauville. Shoot, even Orange Islands had Butch & Cassidy's scheme using a Drowzee.

    ....That's all I can think of right now.
     
    If that is true about the power company episode Icha then does that mean that Sinnoh had two power company related episodes? The Drifloon episode had a power situation too remember?

    To be fair, that was an actual evil scheme (a good one using a Psychic's power to control the mass), so I'd put it at a different category. It's a fair comparison, though.

    Yeah, but was it charged by Pokemon? We also had an episode back in Kanto that involved Grimer clogging up a water turbine, but I didn't count that one because the turbine itself wasn't actually powered by Pokemon (as far as we know).

    It still involved connecting the Drowzee to the antenna.

    That isn't my point. My point was the fact such a critter was misused for an "evil" purpose. All the others were for man's overall benefit and done by good, honest people, instead of a very specific person/group. The series is just full of straightforward people, like that. So, the Drowsee would be in a different category, by my standards.

    If you want to argue the environmental issues of the "good" people and their use of Pokemon, be my guest.
