Now would be a good time to do a little bit of housekeeping. As much as it pains me to do so, some people gotta go because it seems as if they're gone for good. These people would be BrianGabriel, Trainer Kat, Koroc, dboring, and Jake. I loved these five people's rping, but I need people who will be active! So Mudkip, Torchic, Corphish, Skitty, and Ralts are now open for the taking! Wow, it is almost like we're starting over again with the number of vacant spots.

Now about the contests, I love the judge idea and give the posts a rating from 1-10, 1 being the most horrible post you've ever seen and 10, of course, being amazing. I'll see if I can find people who may be interested in it and are usually online a lot so we get the ratings up quickly. The contest will only, at the moment, consist of a contest battle, and the person who puts the most thought and detail into their posts will most likely win. If you're interested in being a judge, pm me with some rp samples of yours. I need to make sure that you have the ability to grade somebody's posts.

This is the sign-up sheet again if you want to sign up. The spots open are Torchic, Mudkip, Skitty, and possibly Corphish and Ralts if that many people want to join. These two are optional.

cool idea with the contests...I might be interested in being IN the contests...not judging them. I'm not at all really good with judging. Anyway, if we do have contests I might be off and on doing them...not all the time since my character's main goal is to be a master. I'll try and do contests as much as I can possibly do it. Laterz:D
 
Name: Zach

Appearance: Zach wears a short sleeved dark red shirt with a white collar as well as blue pants. Zach's eyes are brown and his hair is black in colour, which has a sort of a spikey part that sticks out in front on one side and it is because of this he finds it almost impossible to wear any caps or hats. He also wears a pair of blue running shoes that has a brown square shape on the outside of each shoe, and he carries a blue and red backpack.

Personality: Zach is quite smart for his age, from the time when his father and mother had often told him what it was like for them when they were his age and able to choose the first Pokemon of their own, including what Zach's father learned from the Pokemon Academy. but because he was so smart he often felt that it was not easy to relate to other people, except for the ones he knew well which included the youngest resident of the house next door to his own, and a fellow trainer like Zach soon was to be, who found it easy to form a bond with them, and hopefully vice versa. When he came across a dangerous situation; or times of danger Zach usually got himself out of whatever the situation had been, whether or not there was anyone with him.

History: Being the son of a former prospective trainer at Earl's Pokemon Academy in Johto, he was able to learn from his father how they raised Pokemon there, which in time Zach himself had the know-how to be a good Pokemon trainer, once he had started his journey; in the raising and knowledge sense of the word. Also his parents took to Pokemon watching, observing them from a distance in their younger days after their time as Pokemon trainers came to an end, but they still have two Pokemon between them of course, one of which was the evolved forms of his and hers chosen starter, which were now Feraligatr (Zach's father's Pokemon) and Meganium (Zach's mother's).

Episode One: The Beginning

Having been at the Oak laboratory for around fifteen minutes, Professor Oak was in the middle of going through everything that Benjamin would need to start off on his Pokémon journey. "Here is your starter Pokémon, one that I think you will be well suited for." Professor Oak said to Benny, who was just one of the many trainers that would be coming to the laboratory to receive his or her starter Pokémon.

After Oak handed Benjamin five extra Pokéballs as well as a Pokédex he continued talking. "This will give you a complete record of all Pokémon that we know about so far, but you must first point it at any Pokémon that you see to get full data on that particular species of Pokémon.

"Thanks, I'm sure it will come in handy." Benjamin replied as he put the Pokéball that contained his Charmander to his belt. Benny had almost got to the door to leave when Professor Oak interrupted his departure. "There is one other thing you must know. If you happen to catch any Pokémon before you reach the next town, you will find a Pokémon Centre there that you can go to if you need to restore them back to health."

"I will." Benny replied picking up his backpack exiting through the door from the lab. Standing on the doorstep of the Oak Laboratory, Benjamin took in the sights and sounds of Pallet Town; including many of the buildings that made up the town, such as the shop that was owned by an old woman. Looking further down the road, Benny could see a medium-sized house as the person who lived there was returning the doll of a Bulbasaur back inside. Thinking of this, Benjamin reached for the Pokéball on his belt as he was eager to check out what starter Pokémon he had got. With the Pokéball in hand, Benjamin simply yelled "Come on out!" Soon after the words came out of his mouth some sort of lizard-like creature appeared that seemed to have a bright flame at the tip of its tail.

"Charmander! the fire Pokémon said proudly, its tail flame burning brightly.

Pointing the device that Benny had in his hand at the Pokémon that stood in front of him, the Pokédex immediately activated and within seconds it told the new trainer everything he needed to know.

Charmander: the lizard Pokémon.
The fire on the tip of its tail is a measure of its life. If healthy, its tail burns intensely.

"Cool! You have a Charmander." A young resident of Pallet called with excitement. Wanting to know where the voice had come from, Benjamin looked up to find that it had come from a boy who lived in the town. "I hope to have a Pokémon like yours someday." The little boy said happily.

That's good that you would consider Charmander as your first Pokemon." Benjamin replied as the boy's mother called out to her son, prompting him to come back inside the house, just one of the two that was closest to the Oak Laboratory.

To CTFx: It really isn't that hard. Just in the show they do 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, 1 vs 1, just like that. Most of the time, you'll battle with the same number of pokemon your opponent has. This isn't like the games. It's alright though, no harm done. :)

To Pikalover10: I was actually thinking about having people who aren't even in this rp to judge just to keep it fair and so that everyone can participate if they wanted to. Winnng the contest will not affect you in any way of being a pokemon master, just a fun extra in the rp since this is where contests are introduced. It may also be benefical to enter and try to win because I have already decided that the winner will get a ribbon and a double level gain for their participating pokemon. Everyone else who participates will just get a normal one.

To Fiver: Your personality could be a little bit longer and more detailed. It isn't much of a personality saying that he is just smart and happy. How does he act in certain situations, times of danger, in front of people, with pokemon? Pending

Edit: Fiver, you're Accepted. You'll start out in Route 116 and you have the option of choosing one or two pokemon that have already appeared in the rp to join your team if you want. Can't wait to see you in the main thread!

The first contest will be in Slateport City. The next chapter? Maybe today or tomorrow? The rp does have to go on, even though barely anybody is finished. I'll probably give everyone till the end of tomorrow.
 
Ok I have done the last post in this chapter, it's not something you would call long but then again it's difficult to come up with things to put in the post.
 
Name- Nick Laryiato
Gender- Male
Age- 14

Appearance- Nick is a semi tall, very thin fourteen year-old. He has spiky brown hair and baby blue eyes. Because of his young-appearing face, he is often mistaken for being much younger than he is, much to his frustration. He prefers to wear his silver coat, a green shirt, and his blue jeans. His white shoes are specially designed for him, and help him to do one of his favorite pastimes: Running. They have spikes on the bottom of them that make it easier for him to run on certain surfaces without slipping.

Personality- Nick is very shy, and this attitude is often misinterpreted as stuck up or rude. If someone takes the time to get to know Nick, they find out he is a very caring guy. He's usually passive, but will quickly become aggressive if his friends, family, or other loved ones, including his Pokémon, are in danger. He is also a loner, to a certain extent. He likes to only surround himself with the friends that truly understand him, and although they are few and far between, he keeps those friends close to them and treats them with the utmost care and friendship.

History- Nick was once a very outgoing person, but due to his mother and father's divorce, he retreated into his 'shell.' His mother moved him and his little sister to Littleroot Town, and their family bond improved because of it. They had always bickered like all other families, and still do to an extent, but much less so than before. Since he's moved to Littleroot Town, his mother has had financial problems supporting their family of three. Nick hopes to become the Pokémon League Champion to not only gain Pokémon friends and partners, but to gain the economic benefits and help to support the upraising of his little sister.

Nick took out his Pokétech and scanned it over the tiny, yet intimidating bird Pokémon standing before him. The Pokétech said in it's mechanical voice,

"Pidgey: The Tiny Bird Pokémon. This Pokémon does not like to fight and usually stays hidden in brush and trees. It has an uncanny sense of direction and can return to it's nest from almost anywhere. It is a good challenge for young Pokémon trainers." Nick slid his Pokétech into the pocket of his sweats and a fierce glow lit up in his and Rex's eyes.

"Alright, Rex. Let's do this!" Nick said, motioning for Rex to face the Pidgey. The Pidgey glared at Rex and Nick, ready to defend it's nest and it's food no matter the cost. It flew straight at Rex, intending to tackle him.

"Don't let it get you like that again, Rex! Jump to the side!" Rex did as he was told, but the Pidgey kept on flying and landed straight in the trunk of the tree with it's beak stuck. It struggled, and Rex took the opportunity to run forward and regain lost ground. "We can help it get out Rex! Tackle it!" Rex's head made collision with the side of Pidgey's body. The force of the hit released Pidgey's beak and sent it spiraling sideways in the direction of the tackle. Pidgey quickly gained control, and the glare in it's eyes got even redder and meaner.

"Pi… Pi…" It said, panting. It went straight for Rex again, who dodged it. However, the Pidgey looked like it was anticipating this, and flew upwards, almost out of view. It then came spiraling down towards Rex, and made direct contact. Rex was knocked down, but he got up, obviously hurt, but still able to go on.

"Great job, Rex! It's tired! Finish it with a tackle!" Nick commanded. Rex lowered his head and hit Pidgey right in the center of it's chest, and knocked it to the ground. Nick took out a Pokéball, pressed the center button to make it grow to its full size, and threw it at Pidgey. The ball burst open in a flash of red light, and enclosed the Pidgey. It started wiggling.

"C'mon, c'mon…" Nick kept repeating.

((OOC: Sorry, a lot of it is the same stuff from my Kanto RP SU. I find I can relate more to this type of character and that makes for better RPing.))
 
To Fiver: You can put a battle in your post. Just an idea.

To Clevink: The sign-up looks oddly familiar :) Just kidding. Accepted
You may pick one or two pokemon that have already been in the rp and start at route 116.
 
Hmm... I wonder where it could be from!? ;) Haha, I think I'll take a Pikachu, and because it's 'very-rare' I won't take another. What level should my Poke's be so I know what moves to use and stuff?
 
Since Pikachu is that rare and you didn't have to battle with it, it'll be level 7 while Torchic is level 13! Seem fair to you? I can't put your bio up at the moment because I'm on my Wii with my sisters hogging the computer. Sorry!
 
Very fair. :) It may take me a day or so to get the chapter up. I hafta to think of nicknames, and then tomorrow when I'm not doing homework (looking at another five hour night...) I'll be out. Sorry. :( And Wii is on the top of my Christmas list this year. :)
 
Mudkip is trying to learn Bide, but it already knows four moves. Delete a move for Bide? No
What? Mudkip is evolving! Will you allow this process to continue? Yes

Also I think that's how I should be posting battles just like Clevink is doing. :)

Peck for Scratch, Sand-Attack for Growl. Thunder Wave for Growl.
 
Whoops, read your post in the IC thread wrong. Take Quick Attack for Growl, and Thunder Wave is already learned.

Edit: Here's my new trainer card. I changes the background from the God awful one I had before.

Erm.....Erm......I am sorry if this is aggrivating! I really want to know if I caught the Gligar......I just really want to know because I have an awesome idea for a story and need to know if I captured the Gligar or not.....
